Monthly Updates for May

We've always wanted to have a close relationship with our Pro subscribers, so starting now, I'll be posting about things that we've been working on at Streamcord for the current month.

Hopefully you find these posts informational. Let me know what you think of them, and if you have any suggestions!

Title and game filters

We're finally implementing one of the most requested features since we released stream notifications!

Over the past few weeks, we've been working on adding the ability to filter notifications by the game name and stream title. You'll be able to use regular expressions to have complete control over which streams you get notifications for.

Filters will work for webhooks v2, and have already been implemented on the backend side, but we're still working on the current dashboard's UI for this. Here's what the interface will look like on the beta dashboard:

We don't currently have an ETA for when this released, but we hope it'll be sometime soon. Once it's ready, we hope to have a private beta for Pro subscribers for about 30 days, and then we'll release it to everyone.

New partners program & community updates

As you know, we completely reworked Streamcord's partners program from the ground up. New application, new requirements, and new benefits.

I'm happy to announce that we had a successful release, and we currently have 23 partners in the program!

We're also going to be starting a new clip competition at the beginning of each month! Anyone will be able to submit their favorite clip from their own channel. The clip can be from any time. Over the months, we'll have different themes, like your most clutch clip, or your funniest clip.

Each winner will receive a free month of Streamcord Pro, gets their streams announced in our Discord server, will be featured on the new dashboard (once it's released), and we'll post about them on our Twitter account.

More headway on the new dashboard

The new dashboard is slowly nearing its release! We still have to implement a majority of the backend, including account connections and a lot of the server page functions.

Major improvements to the bot's code

Another major new update coming to Streamcord includes some pretty big changes to the bot's backend code. A lot of the code is still left over from our initial release back in 2017, and since then, a lot of changes have happened to Discord, discord.py, and Python, which we haven't compensated for yet.

The goal of these changes is to improve speed, simplicity, and maintainability. In the future, we'll be able to make improvements a lot more easily, which means faster updates for everyone!

Thanks for reading and continuing to support Streamcord! I highly appreciate it.

Again, let me know if you have any suggestions for future Patreon posts.
