Disappointment post

Hello!

Just yesterday morning I’ve been planning a large bright post with a video presenting the already animated new haircuts, body types, skin and new colors… but my world has changed.

Someone decided to play Robin Hood and shared the collector’s version on the internet. Not for personal use, not to share with a friend or two but to the whole world just for ‘likes’. Someone will now make easy money on ads. Some enthusiasts already even collect donations for that – what a joke.

They say: Greedy developers are milking patrons!

Me (working full-time for 15 months to earn $1100 in total, 73$ per month): Hm-m-m..

I know that plenty of people came here and joined after playing a pirated game. I appreciate that – that’s how adult people usually act.

I already told on itch that I will share the uncensored version for free when the sex-sim part is done. I imagined it as a major version 2.0 with some events and celebrations… Was it so difficult to wait a couple of months? Or to propose some help in exchange if they want it sooner?

But patrons’ bonuses were designed to be unique, to show my gratitude to people who supported the unknown developer in making his dreams come true. That’s why I feel like not only me but all my patrons were robbed. And I’m sorry for that.

I knew this might happen one day. But the truth is I’m just feeling dried out with all this situation.

So, it seems obvious, but let’s make it clear for the future: I officially support MyJLC (adding new versions, collecting feedback, answering questions and reacting on issues) only here and on resources listed in patreon ‘about’ section. I am not responsible for versions published in any other places, as well as for the consequences of installing such packs and donating to those publishers.

And for now it seems like one more task is going to be added to my list: protect the game from unwanted distribution. Must say, it’s not impossible for a web-developer with 15 years of experience. It's just a pity to waste time on it instead of adding new features.

Damn, what fools... I don't think that these thieves will even think about the fact that, for the sake of their own momentary glory, at someone else's expense, they gave the application into the hands of even bigger scammers and crooks than themselves. So to speak, their faces are up to their eggs in milk. I imagine now how new users will come and seriously demand the developer to fix a broken version or damaged gadget 😔 I support the development of protection. This is really important.

I'm really sorry to hear about this, Kit. It's a shame when people steal from creators, especially your project that you worked so hard on. Sorry to hear about this :(
