October 2024 newsletter

October huh!! What a month! My newsletter is a little late cause I was so exhausted looool. Let me cast my mind back.. what on earth happened this month…

Well, I started really strong with a lot of plans to draw lots of fun things and then ran out of time to do a lot of it :’( story of my life!! My family dog/mum’s dog back home in Aus passed away (he was old and it had been coming for a while, very peaceful euthanasia) so I drew her the portrait you can see here and had it printed and sent to her.

I did the back cover illustration for Sparks volume 3 as you can see- I still have a few more things to hand in for it, but I don’t think there’s that much of a rush since it won’t be out until 2026… but I’ll probably keep chipping away at that in Nov. I haven’t had my meeting with Dark Horse about future volumes yet, so keep crossing your fingers! 🤞

There’s a ‘kink market’ happening in Halifax on Dec 6th that I’ll be vending at! I’m pretty excited to get to print some of my 18+ work and sell it in person, I plan on doing some new illustrations during November for it. It’ll be very interesting to see how it goes!

I’ve already decided I’m going to take December off this year- I’ll be moving again, so I know I’m going to be dead tired hahaha. If you’re a subscriber don’t worry, I’ll be pausing payments on Substar & Patreon for Dec so it’ll be a free month :) I’m looking forward to the downtime (besides the moving lol), this whole year has been such a whirlwind I think I really need the break. Hopefully I’ll be re-energized after, because in 2025 I want to finally open an online store to sell Sparks merch!

Well, that’s all I have to report for October. Just a regular busy work month, hahaha. Let’s see if I can fit everything I want to get done into November…
