2022 Year in Review

Logging on quick to make my annual year in review post!

First off- thank you to everyone who joined us this month despite the fact that I’m on break! I hope you saw the notice and don’t just think I hardly post (lol) regular posting will be resuming in Jan :) 

Also, I had hoped to have a batch of comic pages to share this month despite being on break- but I’ve just been too busy with my mum here :( I’ve been chipping away at them whenever I get the chance and I’ve just about finished the lineart stage now so hoping to get those pages to you all soon! 💖

All right, with that out of the way, let’s get into it!

This has been my first year working on Sparks full time (excluding a few months at the start of the year where I was still working at my old pharmacy job), it’s been incredible! I feel like I’ve been able to hit such a good rhythm of working and updating regularly etc… I hope you’ve all enjoyed it too! I can’t express how thankful I am to be able to do this full-time, I feel so lucky 😭 my revenue from Tapas actually decreased a significant amount this year, but I’m still all good thanks to you all here! Sharing my art with you all and reading your comments is my favourite part of creating Sparks as cheesy as that might sound LOL, I’ve heard other artists mention that maintaining a Patreon was too stressful but it’s been wonderful for me luckily… it’s so nice to know that everyone here wants to see my work/support me so sharing stuff here feels like such a joy as compared to posting on social media hahaha.  

I don’t have much else to say about this year actually… I’m happy with how much comic I was able to draw, and looking back on it I feel like my NSFW art improved 🔥 (I have a little art summary for that too which I’ll be posting on my nsfw twitter- @satyrsss , so I don’t clog up your notifications here if you’re a $5 patron!)

I do have some very cool news about Sparks that I can’t share yet 👀 which is killing me LOL but as soon as I can talk about it you bet I’ll be letting you all in on the deets!

Looking towards 2023- we’ll be starting the third arc of Sparks soon which I’m really looking forward to, and I‘ll be trying out a suggestion box for my NSFW art which I’m looking forward to as well 😛 I hope you’re all excited and I can’t wait to get back to work again- not having the time to draw atm means it’s all I can think about ☠️
