Chapter 228: Inner Demon

The Hound Ring, a legendary item said to have been given by Belial to King Solomon, could summon the phantoms of two hellhounds to track a target.

Roy hadn't had a chance to use this ring before, but now it finally came in handy.

Taking the Hound Ring out of his inventory, he put it on his finger and silently pictured Ophelina's appearance in his mind.

Soon, the hellhound patterns on the ring emitted a faint green light, and then two phantom hellhounds appeared in front of Roy.

These phantom hellhounds were only visible to Roy; no one else could see or touch them. As they tracked their target, they also left behind a green trail, which only Roy could see as well.

When Roy saw that the green trail actually led towards the back of the hotel, rather than towards the main entrance, he couldn't help but be surprised.

This Ophelina was truly cunning and had pulled an unexpected move, not taking the most direct route through the front door but instead going around to the back.

If it weren't for the hellhounds, Roy might have really lost her.

"Sir, this is the hotel's office area. Guests are not allowed to enter!"

Roy had just started to head towards the back when a staff member stopped him. Roy immediately pulled out his FEA badge – this was exactly the kind of situation it was for.

"FEA investigation! Anything you need to discuss can be addressed with my colleagues later. I'm currently tracking a dangerous criminal!"

With that, Roy pushed past the staff member, who indeed didn't try to stop him again.

After all, the staff member only earned so much; stopping him once was probably enough to satisfy the boss.

Roy rushed into the office area and followed the hellhounds' trail to the back door, just in time to see it still swinging open.

"She's pretty fast!"

By the time Roy burst out of the hotel's back door, he saw a car driving away. This must have been the vehicle Ophelina had prepared in advance.

"Damn it! Bumble—bee!"

Roy shouted, and soon a yellow Chevrolet Camaro pulled up.

"Bumblebee, switch to manual control!"

Bumblebee couldn't see the hellhounds' trail, so Roy had to drive himself.

At this moment, Isabella also ran out of the hotel's back door.

"Mr. Black, take me with you!"

Roy thought for a moment and decided to bring the black-clad nun along.

Ophelina was driving a red sports car, speeding out of New York City towards the safe house where Morte was located.

Even now, Ophelina's heart was still pounding. What had happened tonight was far beyond her imagination.

First, she faintly smelled her mother on a girl, then a human with terrifying fighting power appeared, and finally, a genuine angel showed up!

As a witch who had lived since ancient times, Ophelina could naturally recognize that Isabella was a real angel.

How could this not terrify Ophelina?

If this guy knew that the angel inside Isabella was Michael, it would probably scare her so much she'd wet her pants.

"How did things turn out like this?"

Ophelina was driving, somewhat absentminded. She felt like she'd been having a particularly bad run of luck lately, with everything going wrong.

Starting from discovering the unidentified female corpse in Salem, to finding Morte to predict the corpse's location and arousing suspicion, and then having her identity exposed the night before last...

It was as if she had been cursed!

Well, so far, Ophelina still believed her exposure was due to Morte. She had no idea that the real reason was just the four little witches from the Apocalypse Society having a sudden whim to play a séance game.

Could it be that Marie Laveau was really cursing her?

Marie Laveau was the voodoo queen who had appeared on the "Night Owl" program before, skilled in various voodoo magic, with curses being her specialty.

And Marie Laveau happened to be one of the Supreme Witch Fiona's mortal enemies. The two had clashed many times in their youth.

It was only because it was late at night and there weren't many cars outside the city that Ophelina's driving hadn't caused any accidents.

But driving like this was still very dangerous, so when a yellow Chevrolet Camaro bumped into Ophelina's red sports car, she didn't react at all.

The red sports car lost control and crashed into a tree trunk by the side of the road. Ophelina got out of the car with a pale face, and then saw Roy and Isabella getting out of the yellow Chevrolet Camaro across the street.

Ophelina's pupils constricted. She had absolutely not expected Roy to find her.

"Who exactly are you?"

"The Supreme Witch really has a bad memory. My name is Roy Black. You should have heard of it."

Roy looked at Ophelina with a grin, his face full of mockery.

Ophelina's face flickered with confusion. She had indeed heard this name, and this was the fourth time.

When she was still Fiona, Ophelina had even taken a job from Amacham to kill Roy, but just a few days later, she was the one about to be killed by him.

"So it was you!"

Ophelina glared at Roy hatefully, then cautiously glanced at the black-clad nun beside him.

She was actually more afraid of Isabella, the angel, because angels had many unreasonable abilities that could completely counter witches like her.

On the other hand, Roy had so far only shown himself to be a warrior with surprisingly good physical attributes. Witches had many ways to deal with warriors.

"Ophelina, I advise you to surrender obediently to avoid suffering!"

Roy cracked his knuckles and slowly began to walk towards Ophelina.

Ophelina had already revealed her name in front of the little witches, so she wasn't surprised that Roy could directly say her name.

Ophelina's expression changed, and she immediately released the purple flames she had used before, creating a sea of purple fire that separated her and Roy.

Roy frowned slightly, touched the purple flames, and then discovered that they didn't have much heat but would burn his spirit.

To be honest, Roy wasn't really afraid of flames that burned the body. After all, his current physique attribute was already 59 points. Pain was just pain.

But spiritual damage was hard to say. Even though Roy's current mental attribute wasn't low, he didn't want to take the risk.

"Mr. Black, do you need my help?"

Isabella behind him seemed to see Roy's difficulty and offered to help.

"No, I can handle this myself."

Roy gritted his teeth and decided to just charge forward. The worst that could happen was he'd need to rest for a few days afterward.

At this moment, Ophelina suddenly spoke.

"Mr. Roy Black, I admit I underestimated your abilities! How about we just let this go? I can give up attacking those girls and completely withdraw from the Witch Coven, as long as you let me go!"

Ophelina was ready to admit defeat. After all, her life was more important than her pride.

But how could Roy let Ophelina go? This person's ability to parasitize any female human was truly insidious and hard to guard against. Roy couldn't just cast a magic circle to identify the soul of every woman he met, could he?

Moreover, Roy had already promised Lilith that he would deal with her daughter. He couldn't go back on his word.

Speaking of which, Roy was now technically Ophelina's stepfather, but unfortunately, she didn't know about his relationship with Lilith. Otherwise, there might have been some fun to watch.

"Sorry! I work for the FEA!"

Roy didn't hesitate to draw some aggro towards the Federal Emergency Agency, then leaped towards Ophelina.

Ophelina gritted her teeth, ready to fight Roy. She manipulated the purple flames around her, transforming them into a giant fire dragon that tried to devour Roy.

To be honest, the power of this purple fire dragon had a bit of a resemblance to a certain old wizard's ultimate move, the Fire God's Path.

(Fire God's Path)

Although it was the poor man's version.

Just looking at the scene was quite intimidating. Roy couldn't help but transform into his demon form and crash into the purple fire dragon.

Instantly, Roy's spirit suffered a strong burning sensation. The intensity of this torment was a severe pain he had never experienced before.

This was the first time Roy had consciously felt this level of spiritual damage, and it was indeed more terrifying than physical damage.

Fortunately, his 53 points of willpower still played a role, allowing Roy to successfully withstand the spiritual damage and use his transformed strength attribute of 72 points to shatter the purple fire dragon with a single punch.

The flames dissipated into the sky. Ophelina tried to teleport away, but Roy had been watching her and directly unleashed his Fear Domain, interrupting her spellcasting. Then he grabbed her.

"I've got you!"

Coming back to her senses, Ophelina looked at Roy in his demon form, then at Isabella in the distance, and showed a look as if she had seen a ghost.

"You're actually a demon!"

Even if Roy had transformed into an angel, Ophelina wouldn't have been this surprised. But he was a demon, and the angel in the distance hadn't reacted at all.

This was as unbelievable as a cat and mouse becoming friends... well, that analogy might not be quite right, after all, the story of a cat and mouse becoming friends is often shown on TV, and even the child-like intelligence of Elrohir knows it.

"There will be even more surprising things to come! Just come with me obediently!"

Roy was referring to Ophelina soon seeing the soul of her mother, but that wasn't what she thought.

Ophelina instantly recalled all the cruel punishments she knew, and fear began to fill her heart.

"No! You won't take me away!"

As she spoke, Ophelina's eyes suddenly turned pink.

"What are you trying to do!"

Roy was about to unleash his Fear Domain again to interrupt Ophelina's spellcasting when he suddenly felt a headache. Due to the spiritual damage he had just suffered, he actually failed to use his ability!

This probability was no less than Roy winning the lottery jackpot with a single ticket. It was simply outrageously absurd!

And Roy just happened to have the Reaper's Gaze, which could infinitely magnify certain probabilities.

What seemed like an extremely small probability would become 100% when the Reaper's Gaze was triggered.

"What the f—!"

Roy had just finished cursing when he felt his mind go dizzy. A certain desire sprouted in his heart, and his hand involuntarily loosened its grip.

The magic that Ophelina released was actually somewhat similar to Roy's Desire Domain.

After all, Roy's Shadow of Desire ability itself was obtained from Lilith's Treasure Chest of Conquest. The ability to control desire was originally one of Lilith's powers.

As Lilith's daughter, Ophelina naturally also possessed Lilith's magic.

However, perhaps because Roy also possessed the Desire Domain, the ability Ophelina used didn't have a very good effect on Roy. He returned to normal in just a few seconds.

And at this time, Ophelina had only just teleported a short distance away.

This made Roy very angry. He felt like he had been tricked.

"Still trying to run?"

Ophelina turned her head and saw that Roy had actually broken free from her trump card magic so quickly. Her expression was quite surprised.

But soon, Ophelina looked behind Roy, and the expression on her face changed from surprise to horror.

Roy also felt that something was wrong, because why would it suddenly become as bright as the sunrise behind him in the middle of the night?

He turned his head and saw Isabella with twelve wings sprouting from her back, her whole body emitting a dazzling white light, floating in the air like a sun.

What was going on?

Sure enough, there was a reason why the Reaper's Gaze had suddenly caused Roy's ability to fail. The main event was actually on Isabella's side.

What happened between Roy and Isabella that night was already a serious mental flaw, even a kind of inner demon, for Michael within Isabella.

Just now, Ophelina's indiscriminate release of desire magic successfully activated the memory that Michael most wanted to forget.

If Michael were to go back to that night, do you think she would want to kill Roy to make up for the mistake she made?

Michael had definitely thought about it. This was probably the inner demon of the Judgment Angel.

Inner demons are very terrifying for pure angels. Lucifer was cast into hell by God because he couldn't overcome his inner demon.

Now, Michael was temporarily controlled by this inner demon.

"Roy Black! Prepare to die!"

Michael's current state should be her strongest form in the human world. An angelic halo hovered above her head, six pairs of wings of light spread out from her back, and the long whip she often used had transformed into a long sword burning with holy flames.

Her aura was like a celestial being descending to earth, making people不敢直视 (dare not look directly).

"F—!"

Roy cursed. He couldn't worry about the escaping Ophelina anymore. He had to get through Michael first.

When Ophelina saw this scene, she suddenly felt a sense of escaping from a desperate situation. She quickly sped up her escape, fearing that the angel would target her after killing Roy.

A twelve-winged angel was an Archangel, and there were only four such beings in all of Heaven.

An angel of this level was definitely not something a witch like Ophelina could contend with, so running was the only option.

As for what would happen to Roy, the demon, Ophelina couldn't care less.

Soon, Ophelina rushed out of the forest and arrived at a logging yard. She saw a pickup truck parked there, and the keys were even in the ignition.

"This is just too lucky!"

Chapter 229: Crescent Moon Heavenly Rush

"Simply too lucky!"

The same words came from another woman, a woman in a red dress – Elizabeth.

Elizabeth was currently sitting inside a transparent bubble, a smile on her face as she watched the battle between Roy and Michael in the distance.

Ophelia, on the other hand, was sitting on the ground next to Elizabeth, pretending to drive an air car, her face still showing a look of relief, clearly still trapped in the illusion.

The transparent bubble surrounding the two women seemed to exist outside of this world.

In the illusion, Ophelia thought she was having a lucky break, escaping in a pickup truck.

After seeing the twelve-winged angel, this woman no longer had any intention of controlling the Witch Coven. She had also completely abandoned Mortel's body and now just wanted to find a secluded place to hide.

As long as she could find a reclusive witch to parasitize, Ophelia felt she could survive.

Ophelia wasn't a particularly talented witch. Her only noteworthy traits were a bizarre parasitic ability and thousands of years of survival experience. Otherwise, she wouldn't have completely disappeared from historical records.

The biggest thing this woman had probably ever done in her life was backstabbing her own mother, Lilith, so it wasn't surprising that she now had this idea of clinging to life.

However, Ophelia didn't know that everything she was currently seeing was a realistic illusion created by Elizabeth.

Of course, Elizabeth didn't really care about Ophelia. All her attention was focused on the battle between Roy and Michael in the distance.

Controlled by his inner demon, Michael was completely unaware that Elizabeth was observing from the sidelines of the battlefield. He was now single-mindedly focused on killing Roy and washing away the mistakes of the past.

Roy initially thought about trying to wake Michael up, but seeing that every move the angel made was aimed at killing him, his own temper started to rise.

However, the demon form was just too easily countered by angels. Not only was it easier to hit due to its large size, but the damage taken was also doubled. Roy was now covered in scorched marks from Michael's attacks.

These were all caused by the longsword Michael wielded, which was burning with holy fire.

Fortunately, Michael wasn't at his full strength either. After his battle with Samael and the injuries Roy inflicted that night, the Angel of Judgment was currently at his weakest.

It just looked intimidating, but his true strength was probably only comparable to a six-winged angel, just enough to suppress Roy in his demon form.

Otherwise, Roy would have already been diced into a million pieces by Michael.

This was also why Elizabeth was in the mood to observe from the sidelines; otherwise, she would have already intervened.

Roy felt that continuing like this was too disadvantageous, so he quickly switched forms and entered his angel form.

Seeing Roy in his four-winged archangel form, Michael was momentarily confused.

It wasn't just Michael who was confused; Elizabeth, watching from afar, also had an expression of disbelief.

A moment later, Elizabeth conjured a glass of red wine and started drinking it.

"Roy, oh Roy, how many more surprises will you bring me?"

After his initial confusion, Michael saw Roy's face. Roy's appearance in angel form hadn't changed much, so Michael, still controlled by his inner demon, quickly re-locked onto his target and flew towards Roy.

Roy in angel form was indeed no longer at an elemental disadvantage against Michael, but without the temporary stat boost from his demon form, he was now completely outmatched in terms of raw power.

To put it simply, Roy's attacks in angel form couldn't even break Michael's defense. After all, his main attack method in angel form was the release of holy light energy.

The problem was, how could the holy light released by a four-winged angel possibly harm a twelve-winged angel?

It would be a miracle if it worked!

So, Roy could only flap his light wings and ascend, trying to evade Michael's attacks.

Michael followed closely behind, and the two engaged in an ace dogfight, though it was mostly Roy getting beaten up.

Damn it! If only I could combine the stats of my demon form with the energy release of my angel form!

That way, Roy wouldn't just be able to take a beating; he'd have some power to fight back.

Could I possibly merge my demon and angel forms together?

A fantastical idea suddenly popped into Roy's head, but he didn't have a better option at the moment. If he could merge the two forms into one, then he might have a chance to counterattack.

If he couldn't, Roy's fate would definitely be grim.

Screw it!

Merging the two forms would take some time, so Roy directly unleashed his Fear Domain, hoping to control Michael for a moment.

However, Michael at this moment felt no fear, so the Fear Domain had no effect whatsoever.

Helpless, Roy had no choice but to unleash his Desire Domain.

This time, it finally worked. Michael's mental vulnerability once again became the weak point in his armor, giving Roy an opening.

Then, Roy began to merge his two forms.

The white energy came from the positive energy of the angel, and the dark red energy came from the negative energy of the demon.

The combination of the two energies caused Roy's heart to beat rapidly, and for a moment, he thought he was going to die.

But in reality, Roy's Nephilim bloodline had already given him the conditions to merge the two forms. It was just that Roy hadn't encountered an opponent like Michael before, so he hadn't considered this possibility.

Facing a completely helpless Michael, Roy finally thought of merging his angel and demon forms, becoming a true Nephilim.

Gray hair, gray pupils, and gray light wings.

Simultaneously possessing the stat enhancements of a demon and the energy release of an angel, the new form surprised Roy.

At this moment, Michael had just broken free from the Desire Domain, looking at the brand-new version of Roy with a face full of astonishment.

"Die!"

Michael drew a huge circle with his holy fire longsword, then unleashed a terrifying blast of holy light from left to right.

If it were the previous Roy, he would probably have been completely overwhelmed by this holy light.

But the current Roy directly released a gray chaos beam to clash with Michael's attack.

As the saying goes, in a beam clash, the one on the left always loses. Michael was on the left side, clashing beams with Roy, essentially courting death.

Therefore, the result of the beam clash was predictable.

Roy had been suppressed and beaten by Michael for over ten minutes, and his anger had long since reached its boiling point. He naturally wouldn't let Michael off the hook at this moment.

"Bastard, I've had enough of you!"

Taking advantage of the opportunity when Michael was stunned by the chaos beam, Roy grabbed Michael.

However, Roy couldn't bring himself to actually kill Michael, so he chose another way to punish him.

Rip!

The black nun's habit was easily torn apart by Roy. A look of fear appeared in Michael's eyes, and this familiar scene seemed to restore his senses.

"Black, what do you think you're doing?!"

"Scared? But it's too late!"

Michael wasn't weak enough to be rendered defenseless by a single chaos beam, but at this moment, he suddenly saw a hallucination.

Roy didn't know why Michael had suddenly stopped moving. He thought the angel had given up resisting, which was perfect timing since he was now fully prepared for battle.

Thwack!

Justice was once again pierced by sin.

Fighting Michael for the second time, Roy was much more clear-headed. The feeling wasn't much different from their first encounter.

The most obvious sign was that Michael was bleeding angel's blood again. This intense pain instantly brought Michael back to his senses.

At this point, Michael already smelled a conspiracy. It seemed someone was manipulating everything behind the scenes, causing the situation to become what it was now.

But the problem was, the Angel of Judgment didn't have time to think about it, because Roy had already begun his challenge, just like a few months ago.

"No, Black! You can't keep falling like this! Please!"

Facing an irresistible weapon, Michael's body went limp, unable to muster any strength, and could only desperately beg Roy.

However, Roy was currently furious and wouldn't listen to anything Michael said.

Gradually, a strange feeling surged into his heart, filling Michael with fear.

But Michael was, after all, possessing a human body, and some reactions were unavoidable.

At this point, the only thing Michael could do was maintain the purity of his heart to resist the changes in his physical body.

And so, Michael once again crossed his fingers and placed them on his chest in prayer.

Unfortunately, this action only made Roy's eyes turn bloodshot, sending him into a blood rage.

In the end, Michael couldn't help but let out a suppressed groan, which seemed to represent the defeat of the Angel of Judgment's will.

The two flew and fought, all the way through the troposphere and into the stratosphere.

Above them was the huge full moon, and below them were thick clouds. It was actually a very beautiful scene, but the combatants were in no mood to appreciate the stunning view.

The cold stratosphere couldn't extinguish the flames in Roy and Michael's hearts. The Nephilim and the angel had completely lost themselves.

Until they were about to reach some kind of critical point.

Feeling the immense changes in his body, Michael seemed to realize something, and his mind temporarily regained clarity for a moment.

"Don't!"

Boom!

Just like a shaken bottle of champagne, Michael was sent flying backward, the champagne-like liquid trailing behind him in a beautiful arc under the moonlight, just like that famous scene of the Crescent Moon Heavenly Rush.

(Homelander's Crescent Moon Heavenly Rush)

Then, a white phantom image appeared on Isabella's body and began to rapidly ascend.

Roy looked at the white phantom image in surprise, unsure what to say for a moment.

No way, right? No way?

Could it be that the Angel of Judgment Michael had been ejected from Isabella's human form by the Crescent Moon Heavenly Rush?

The ascending Michael looked at Roy with a complex gaze, and then his shadow began to disappear into the moonlight.

There was no time to think about Michael's problem, because Isabella had lost Michael's power and no longer had the ability to fly. She was now falling rapidly towards the ground.

Roy quickly dove down towards the earth and finally caught Isabella before she crashed.

Several cracking sounds were heard as Isabella's body still suffered multiple fractures.

The main reason was that Roy didn't have Superman's bio-field, so he couldn't catch Isabella perfectly intact, but he did manage to save her life.

Isabella looked at Roy with an expression of utter despair.

"Mr. Black, why did you save me? I am no longer pure, and even Lord Michael has left my body. Just let me die!"

Roy felt that Isabella truly had a death wish. Perhaps Michael's departure had been too great a shock for her, leading her to want to die.

The key now was to make Isabella feel like she wanted to continue living.

"You want to commit suicide? Suicide will send you to hell forever!"

In Christian doctrine, believers are not allowed to commit suicide. Those who do will go directly to hell without even going through judgment.

That's why many people possessed by demons choose to commit suicide to end their lives, so their souls will fall into the hands of demons.

Isabella's face was full of tears. She was indeed afraid to commit suicide, but she also had no hope of living, and could only lie in Roy's arms, weeping.

Roy didn't know how to persuade Isabella for a moment and could only take her back to heal her injuries, hoping that she might change her mind once she recovered.

At least Christians didn't need to worry about committing suicide.

"Listen, Isabella! I saved you, but not so you could die! You owe me a life now, and before you repay that debt, I won't allow you to die!"

Isabella looked at Roy with a shocked expression, seemingly not expecting such a statement.

But when dealing with stubborn people, you should use stubborn methods. Roy's words unexpectedly convinced Isabella.

The nun remained silent for a moment, then nodded.

"Mr. Black, I will repay this life!"

"You better!"

After Roy flew away, Elizabeth in the transparent bubble had a smile of successful conspiracy on her face.

"Hahaha! Michael, I never thought you'd have a day like this! It wasn't a wasted trip after all!"

That's right, Elizabeth was the one who interfered when Michael entered the illusion. She would never miss an opportunity to make the Angel of Judgment suffer.

Elizabeth was now in a very happy mood, as refreshed as if she had just drunk an ice-cold cola on a sweltering summer day.

"But I didn't expect Roy to be a Nephilim. That little guy was hiding it pretty well!"

After laughing enough, Elizabeth fell into thought.

Just at this moment, Ophelia woke up from the illusion created by Elizabeth and then saw her surroundings.

Instantly, Ophelia was plunged into endless fear.

"Ah! How could this be? Who exactly are you?!"

"Annoying!"

Ophelia's scream interrupted Elizabeth's thoughts, which greatly displeased the King of Sloth. With a flick of her finger, she sent Ophelia into a deep sleep.

After that, Elizabeth was no longer in the mood to continue thinking. She stretched and stood up.

"It's time to go back too! Oh right, little Roy seems to be under some kind of curse. What kind of trick should I use to mess with him? Hehe!"

The more she thought about it, the happier she became. Elizabeth flicked her fingers again, and a pitch-black cave appeared beside her. She grabbed Ophelia's body and jumped into the black cave.

The next second, Elizabeth was back in her manor in Waterfall Town, as if she had never left.

Chapter 230: Wait a Minute, That's Not a Belt!

"Welcome back to the World Boxing Qualification Tournament for the Olympics, heavyweight division finals! I'm your old friend, Algin Tucker! Getting ready to step into the ring, we have 'Grim Reaper' and 'Nuke Head' Roy Black, and his opponent, 'The Tornado' Gordon Webster!"

"Roy Black is a newcomer to the boxing scene. He only officially started competing at the end of last year, but every single one of his matches has left a lasting impression on the audience!"

"His opponent, Gordon Webster, is a seasoned amateur boxer, famous for his whirlwind style of attack. Although he's only 22 years old and a senior in college, this year should be his last shot at the Olympics!"

As the excitement for the match grew, the Olympic World Qualification Tournament finals successfully secured national broadcast coverage, having previously only been shown on local television.

This also meant that Roy was truly about to enter the national spotlight.

Before this, Roy had only gained some popularity in California and Texas, remaining relatively unknown on the national stage.

"Roy, knock that guy out and grab that Olympic spot!"

Before Roy stepped into the ring, Allen and Lambert gave him their final words of encouragement, after which he climbed onto the canvas.

"Ladies and gentlemen! If you've just tuned in, don't change that channel! We are live at the World Boxing Qualification Tournament for the Olympics, heavyweight division finals, where two young studs are battling it out for the last ticket to the Olympic Games!"

Standing in the ring, Roy sized up his opponent, Gordon Webster. His skin was brown, but he didn't look Latino, most likely of mixed Black heritage.

In America, the white community often adheres to the "one-drop rule" when defining Black identity. If you have any Black ancestry, no matter how light your skin, you are still considered Black.

A typical example is NBA star Stephen Curry. His skin tone is very light, and to many Asians, he looks almost white. Many people assume he's white, but he's actually Black.

Roy mentally reviewed the information Allen had gathered. This boxer nicknamed "The Tornado" was also a typical aggressive fighter.

As everyone knows, in amateur boxing, an aggressive style is generally at a disadvantage because it's difficult to score a knockout, unless you're a freak like Roy.

So, despite Gordon Webster's peak technique, stamina, and age, he had always been unable to advance further in amateur boxing.

This year's Olympics was Gordon Webster's last attempt. After this, he would officially turn professional.

Therefore, the guy's fighting spirit looked extremely high.

However, Roy's situation was actually similar. He couldn't wait another four years for another shot at the Olympics.

"Alright! The referee has announced the official start of the match! Let's see what kind of strategies these two fighters will adopt! Unsurprisingly, Gordon Webster has started with an aggressive attack right from the opening bell. This has almost become his trademark. So, what will Roy Black choose? In his past matches, his style has been quite varied and very entertaining!"

"Wait a minute, it looks like there's been an accident at the venue!"

Although the TV commentator was speaking as quickly as possible, he still couldn't keep up with the unfolding events.

Roy and Gordon Webster were just about to start fighting at the opening bell when they suddenly heard some strange noises.

Luckily, Roy was very observant and reacted quickly, noticing in time that the large overhead lights were suddenly falling. While dodging, he also pushed the referee and Gordon Webster out of the way, otherwise at least one person would have died today.

As a result, the referee suspended the match for half an hour before restarting it.

After the match restarted, Gordon Webster's attitude seemed to have changed. He was probably a bit embarrassed to fight Roy after Roy had saved his life.

Helplessly, Roy had to tell his opponent not to hold back. He was confident he could win the championship based on his own strength, so why would he want his opponent to let him win?

It made it seem like Roy couldn't win on his own, and he didn't want to be tainted by that kind of suspicion.

So, Gordon Webster composed himself and engaged in a fierce exchange of blows with Roy. Neither of them defended, just throwing punches wildly.

The result was that Gordon suddenly collapsed to the ground without any warning, while Roy remained standing tall like an iron tower.

"What a dramatic match! Let's congratulate Roy Black on securing the last ticket to the Sydney Olympics! Let's wish this young man, who is still two months away from turning 19, all the best in the Sydney Olympics! However, I think he'll be quite tired tonight!"

The TV commentator would say this, of course, because even for a small World Qualification Tournament final, the venue was almost completely full, and surprisingly, female spectators accounted for a third of the audience – a near miracle.

Women have generally never been very interested in violent sports like boxing, unless the competitor is a handsome guy.

So, most of these female spectators were brought by Roy. They cheered and shouted for Roy wildly, making them a beautiful sight at the venue.

With this kind of commercial value, it was no wonder Don King wanted to sign Roy.

Unfortunately, the NCAA doesn't allow athletes to accept endorsements, and Roy's condition for entering UCLA was to help the school win at least one NCAA championship. Otherwise, he would have already taken endorsements and made a lot of money.

However, it was really just a year of less earnings. Maybe Roy's endorsement fees would be even higher next year.

"Nice one, Roy! We knew you could do it! Now, you're only a few matches away from becoming an Olympic champion!"

Allen and Lambert hugged Roy, both feeling like they were about to enter their professional prime.

It really was true what they said: if you stand at the right vent, even a pig can fly.

And Allen and Lambert thought, as long as you latch onto the right big shot, the big shot will directly take you to show off and fly high!

"Coach Allen, Coach Lambert, the next steps are up to you."

Hearing this, Allen and Lambert quickly nodded.

"Don't worry! Leave the other stuff to us! You just need to focus on preparing for the Sydney Olympics!"

Allen patted his chest to make a guarantee. As a college boxing coach, he had a wealth of experience in major competitions.

"Of course, we can't forget tonight's celebration!"

Lambert gave a sly smile. This guy had known Roy longer, so he understood Roy even better.

Just now, Lambert had seen a group of beautiful women run to the locker room to cheer for Roy, so he knew his services would be in high demand tonight.

Roy smiled smugly.

"We still need to get rid of the media first!"

Even during the first match of the World Qualification Tournament, Roy had been followed by paparazzi. Now, for the finals, the exposure was even more terrifying.

Roy estimated that as soon as he left the venue, he would be surrounded by a large number of media. Luckily, he had an item that could solve this problem.

Speaking of this item, he had to mention the two conquest boxes Roy had opened yesterday.

\[Opening Penelope Brown's Conquest Box...]

\[Obtained 1 Physique Attribute Point!]

The first box only yielding 1 attribute point made Roy briefly think that his luck with boxes had also been affected by the Reaper's Gaze.

Fortunately, Needy's conquest box didn't disappoint Roy.

\[Opening Needy Lesnicki's Conquest Box...]

\[Obtained 2 Memory Attribute Points!]

\[Obtained 1 Willpower Attribute Point!]

\[Obtained Special Item: Needy's Black-Framed Glasses!]

That's right, it was this special item!

\[Needy's Black-Framed Glasses: Needy Lesnicki's signature black-framed glasses. They can reduce your presence, causing everyone and everything to overlook your existence. Note: Those who deeply love you will still be able to see your shining presence in the crowd!]

Seeing this system description, Roy immediately thought of a certain Mr. Clark Kent who wished to remain anonymous. That guy also had a pair of magical glasses that, once worn, would make it impossible for anyone to recognize him as Superman.

Could it be that these glasses had a similar effect?

Before the match, Roy had tried wearing the black-framed glasses. He walked around the media area, and indeed, no one recognized him. Everyone just thought he was a slightly familiar stranger.

At the same time, Roy could also feel that the oppressive feeling in his heart suddenly disappeared after putting on the glasses. These glasses could even shield the Reaper's Gaze! This effect was already at a conceptual level of ability, wasn't it?

However, if the Reaper's Gaze was shielded for a period of time, it might trigger an even more intense retaliation from the Reaper later, so he couldn't wear the black glasses all the time.

Occasionally using them to deal with the media and enthusiastic fans was still acceptable, just like now.

As Lambert said, Roy really needed to celebrate properly after the match, so Madison organized a small party.

No one had more experience organizing parties than Madison, but Roy didn't want to invite outsiders. He mainly wanted the people who were already around.

Poor Emma was excluded from the party because she was too young and had to go to bed early.

As for Madison, Zoe, and Maria, they were having a great time.

Perhaps only Isabella couldn't quite accept the party; it was too decadent for her.

As Michael's former human host, Isabella possessed a portion of the power Michael had left behind before returning to Heaven, so her physical fitness was extraordinary, and her recovery ability was top-notch.

In just one day, Isabella's bone fractures had mostly healed.

Now, the black-clad nun was huddled in a corner like a pitiful little quail, while Madison was still tempting her to drink with a mischievous smile. She was nothing like the imposing figure she had been the day before yesterday.

Roy and Jennifer quietly left the party and went to the balcony to enjoy the New York evening breeze.

It wasn't that the two wanted to sneak away for some private time, but because Lilith had awakened and wanted to talk to Roy.

"Roy, I suddenly can't sense Ophelina's presence anymore. Do you know why?"

"I don't know either. It's like she vanished into thin air."

After the battle with Isabella that day, Roy had originally wanted to try using the Hound Ring again to track Ophelina, but he found that even the phantom hellhounds couldn't find their target.

This situation usually meant that Ophelina had run beyond the hellhounds' tracking range, probably because Roy's rematch with Michael had lasted too long.

Lilith was a little helpless. It was the critical moment to capture Ophelina, but she happened to fall asleep.

"It seems Ophelina must have gone into hiding. If she's hiding, it might be very difficult for us to find her."

"Lilith, do you have any other plans?"

"If we can find a prophet with the Heavenly Eye, maybe we can still find Ophelina. Otherwise, I can only give up on retrieving my past body and think of another way."

Jennifer's body was ultimately not Lilith's, and many things were inconvenient, so she had already considered the idea of creating a temporary body for herself.

"A prophet with the Heavenly Eye?"

Roy thought of Morte Snow, whom Madison had mentioned before. That guy was a Heavenly Eye possessor, but because he had forcibly opened his Heavenly Eye before, no one knew how much prophetic ability he still retained.

They could only take it one step at a time. Perhaps they could indeed help Lilith create a temporary body.

"There's another prophet at the Witch Coven. Maybe I can ask her for you, but we'll have to wait until the hearing to see her."

Hearing this, Lilith suddenly leaned onto Roy and even gave him a flirtatious wink.

"Little Master, thank you!"

Roy was about to speak when he heard Madison's loud and excited voice.

"Well, well, well! So this is where you two have been hiding! Sneaking off for some private time, huh?"

Madison stumbled out, holding a half-empty bottle of whiskey, her eyes bleary as she looked at Roy and Lilith.

"I don't care, I want some too!"

As she spoke, Madison directly pounced on Roy and tried to pour whiskey into his mouth.

With Madison taking the lead, Zoe and Maria also ran out, drunkenly clinging to Roy, imitating Madison's actions.

"Let go! I can't even walk like this! Wait a minute, that's not a belt! Stop pulling!"

It was only with great difficulty that Roy carried the three drunk girls back to the suite. He then saw Isabella lying passed out on the sofa, her face flushed.

She must have been forcibly made drunk by those two naughty girls, Madison and Maria.

He didn't know which branch of Christianity Isabella belonged to, because some branches of Christianity also prohibited alcohol consumption. She might have violated her vows now.

Oh well, he should first deal with the three little witches who were clinging to him like octopuses!

"Lilith, hurry and help!"

"Lilith has gone back. It's Jennifer now."

Jennifer had a faint smile on her face, watching Roy with great interest.

This smile looked somewhat familiar. Jennifer seemed to have looked at Roy with this same smile when he was feeding Elrohir.

So, Roy came up with an idea.

"Jennifer, don't you want to teach Madison a lesson?"

This made Jennifer somewhat interested.

Because of her upbringing, Madison always unconsciously acted self-centered, the typical "bitch girl" type.

It was impossible to say that Jennifer didn't want to teach Madison a lesson. It just so happened that today seemed like a good opportunity.

"What do you want me to do?"
