Chapter 179: Buffet Time

As he spoke, Roy's pupils turned silver, meaning he'd activated his Eyes of Judgment.

In the vision of the Eyes of Judgment, the Firefly family members were all wicked people, practically glowing red and purple with evil. A lot of demons weren't even as sinful as they were.

It was a safe bet that over the years, the Firefly family had preyed on quite a few travelers passing through.

Captain Spaulding still wanted to act tough.

"Don't think this means you've beaten the Firefly family! We have the Lord's protection!"

Roy just grabbed Captain Spaulding's head and slammed it down on the dining table, instantly making his nose bleed.

"Wrong answer!"

Samantha quickly hugged her younger son, Mike, not wanting the kid to see the bloody mess.

As for Ashley, she was already 18, time she faced some of the harsh realities of the adult world.

Only Elureesa watched Roy's actions with a really interested look, like she was itching to try it herself.

Having his face smashed into the table, Captain Spaulding actually started to chuckle.

"Heh-heh-heh..."

Seeing that this guy wasn't cooperating, Roy was about to rough him up again when Sophie and Baby, still not giving up, charged over waving their dinner knives.

Without a shred of mercy, Roy kicked both of them away again, putting a little extra oomph into it this time. Sophie and Baby slammed into the wall before hitting the floor hard.

"You bastard!"

Captain Spaulding saw his wife and daughters get their butts kicked for the second time and finally lost it. He wanted to fight back, but unfortunately, you can't bridge a huge gap in physical strength with just anger.

"Pipe down!"

Roy slammed Captain Spaulding's head onto the table for the third time.

Even with his head pinned to the table, Captain Spaulding still glared at Roy with a nasty look in his eyes.

"You son of a bitch! I'm gonna kill you, cut off your head and offer it to the great Lord! And I'll slice off pieces of meat from those two little brats and make 'em into steaks! Aaaah—"

Roy punched Captain Spaulding in the cheek, knocking out half his teeth.

That pretty much confirmed that there was definitely something wrong with the steaks they had for dinner. Good thing Roy and the others hadn't touched them.

Roy grabbed Captain Spaulding by the head and lifted him up with one hand.

"You really value family, huh? But you don't seem to have much respect for other people's lives!"

People in rural America really value family, probably because this country was built by families heading west in covered wagons, carving out a life for themselves.

It wasn't until more recently, with urbanization, that this traditional family ideal started to fade a bit, but you still see that "family first" mentality in movies and TV shows.

But Captain Spaulding should probably be called a "family freak" instead.

(The movie House of 1000 Corpses 3 was kind of like this, with a messed-up family of freaks, making the cops' righteous revenge seem just as bad as the villains, which was pretty messed up.)

"Tell me, who's your boss!"

Captain Spaulding had lost half his teeth, and his speech was all slurred, but he was still being a hardass.

"Believe me, the Lord won't let you get away with this! Heh-heh-heh..."

Roy expressionlessly knocked out the other half of Captain Spaulding's teeth so his smile would be symmetrical.

At this point, Samantha had had enough.

"Roy, can't you stop? You're going to scare the kids!"

Roy turned his head and saw that Mike was indeed shaking like a leaf, and Ashley was looking at him with a terrified expression.

Only Elureesa looked totally stoked, even happier than when she watched cartoons.

Roy tossed Captain Spaulding aside, a friendly smile spreading across his face, but Ashley started to avoid his eyes.

"Samantha, why don't you take the kids back to the car for now?"

Samantha understood what Roy was implying.

"Are you going to keep beating them?"

Roy nodded. But he wasn't just being a brute; he suspected that the Firefly family was a cult involved with some kind of demon, so he needed to grill Captain Spaulding.

Besides, if Samantha and the others went outside, Roy could use his special abilities to question Captain Spaulding.

"Samantha, you heard what this guy said. I suspect they're involved in a string of murders. And you saw his attitude. This family's got some serious issues!"

Roy's words reminded Samantha that he was a federal agent, so she didn't question him further.

"Alright, I'll take the kids to the car and wait for you."

Samantha hugged Mike and pulled Ashley up. Elureesa still wanted to keep watching the show, but Samantha practically dragged her away.

"Aw, Daddy, I wanna keep watching!"

Now that the Parker family was gone, Roy could really work over Captain Spaulding.

"Captain Spaulding, ready for round two?"

Roy cracked his knuckles and slowly approached Captain Spaulding, who was lying on the ground and suddenly started muttering something under his breath.

"...Hear my call!"

Because his voice was so quiet, Roy didn't catch the beginning of what Captain Spaulding said.

"What are you saying?"

Captain Spaulding ignored Roy and kept muttering softly to himself.

"Rotting flesh in the grave, break free from the shackles of death!"

It sounded like some kind of spell. Roy immediately used Shadow of Fear on Captain Spaulding, wanting to interrupt whatever he was doing.

But something unexpected happened to Roy. His Shadow of Fear didn't work for the first time.

Captain Spaulding's face was covered in bulging veins, and his eyes were bloodshot, completely red. He'd actually resisted the effect of Shadow of Fear.

"With my blood, forge your bones!"

"Flesh and blood submit, decay gives birth!"

"In the name of the inverted pentagram, awaken, sleeping dead!"

After Captain Spaulding finished chanting, he fell into a terrified hallucination and started screaming in fear. That weird state he was in earlier must have just delayed him being controlled by the abnormal state.

Did this guy actually have some kind of ability?

But even though Captain Spaulding finished his spell, it didn't seem to do anything. Roy cautiously waited for several seconds, but nothing happened.

Was it just some kind of scare tactic?

Roy walked over to Captain Spaulding and ripped open his shirt. Sure enough, he saw the mark of an inverted pentagram burned into his chest.

As soon as he heard the words "inverted pentagram" in the spell, Roy suspected that this guy's boss was his ex-brother-in-law, the Wrathful King Samael. Turns out he was right.

That immediately explained why Captain Spaulding was able to briefly block out the feeling of fear. After all, when someone's super angry, they can definitely stay angry all day... ahem! They can definitely block out other emotions.

As for this spell... it sounded like some kind of necromancy, but why didn't it work?

Just as he was wondering, Roy suddenly heard gunshots coming from outside the house.

Could this necromancy be targeting Samantha and the kids instead of him?

Roy immediately wanted to run outside to see what was going on, but suddenly someone grabbed his leg.

Captain Spaulding had somehow broken free from the effect of Shadow of Fear, and he was the one holding Roy's leg.

"You damn pretty boy, I'm gonna make you regret this for the rest of your life!"

Roy's face went pale. He kicked Captain Spaulding in the chest with all his might, not holding back at all, and his kick caved in the guy's entire chest.

Captain Spaulding stopped breathing instantly.

No system notification? Was this guy still not dead?

Or was this fate box like the one at the Gospel Sanatorium, based on the whole family?

Just then, the other members of the Firefly family stood up, their eyes red as they frantically lunged at Roy, trying to stop him from leaving.

These guys probably had no idea how strong Roy really was. After all, to avoid freaking them out, Roy had been holding back before.

But now, Roy was worried about Samantha, so he didn't hold back anymore. His inhuman physical abilities were on full display.

It was basically one punch per person. The Firefly family members dropped dead as soon as he touched them. In a matter of seconds, he took out the roadblocks and managed to run out of the house.

He saw a bunch of mud-covered zombies slowly walking towards them from all directions, while Samantha stood in the rain, holding a revolver and constantly shooting at the approaching zombies.

Ashley hugged her younger brother and sat trembling in the car, while Elureesa was just clapping and cheering, looking like she was having a blast.

Maybe the revolver wasn't powerful enough, or maybe the mud on the zombies was acting as some kind of armor, but Samantha fired several shots and couldn't take down a single zombie. Things looked pretty bad.

"Roy, hurry up and find some gasoline! We need to get out of here!"

"No need to worry so much!"

Roy took out a Smith & Wesson Model 629 from his inventory and kept pulling the trigger.

.45 Magnum bullets really pack a punch. One shot blew off the mud-covered head of a zombie, but the zombie just wobbled a bit and kept coming.

"Wh-what the heck is going on?"

Samantha watched the scene in disbelief. Ashley and Mike were also terrified.

This situation was even harder to believe than the giant spiders from the eight-legged monster incident. At least the giant spiders had some sci-fi element to them, which Samantha and the others could kind of wrap their heads around.

But this situation was completely beyond scientific explanation. Samantha had absolutely no idea what to do.

"It's okay, Samantha. You take the kids back inside first. Leave the rest to me!"

Roy figured that these zombies summoned by necromancy were probably tough to kill with regular attacks, so he pulled out his cursed twin daggers.

Roy had used the cursed twin daggers to stab the Greed King Mammon in the back during the Devil's Late Night Show incident, which had seriously damaged both daggers and also brought bad luck to Sadako and Kayako, who were sealed inside them.

So, Roy had kept the cursed twin daggers sealed in his time-invariant inventory and hadn't used them for a while.

Now was a perfect time to take them out and absorb some of that necromantic power.

Looking at the two cursed daggers, the blades had a lot of nicks and cracks, and some parts were even turning black. They didn't have that fancy, ornate look they used to.

"Sadako, Kayako, it's buffet time!"

With that, Roy casually threw the two daggers. The cursed twin daggers automatically locked onto their targets, tracked them down, and accurately pierced the zombies.

After a few seconds, the magical power on the zombies was completely drained by the daggers, and they lost control and fell to the ground.

Roy automatically retrieved the two cursed twin daggers and then threw them again.

After doing this dozens of times, all the surrounding zombies had fallen. The blades of the cursed twin daggers in his hand had returned to their original state.

They were still a little blackened, but at least they looked a lot better than before.

The Parker family watched Roy's performance with their mouths hanging open.

"Ro... Roy, was that witchcraft?"

Ashley, trying to be brave, poked Roy's arm.

"You could call it a type of witchcraft. Were you scared, Ashley?"

Roy winked at Ashley.

Rebellious teenage girls like Ashley usually dig heavy metal, death, gothic stuff, and even dabble in the whole cult worship aesthetic.

But in reality, it's usually just a case of biting off more than they can chew. Rebellious teenagers just think this kind of non-mainstream stuff is cool and makes them look unique.

If Ashley actually saw a real demon, it would probably scare her stiff.

But rebellious girls like to act tough and would never admit they were scared.

"Scared? What's there to be scared of!"

He wondered if such a tough little mouth would be soft to kiss.

Shaking his head with a smile, Roy called everyone back into the house.

"I've taken care of the Firefly family. The house should be safe now, just don't go into the dining room."

But he still hadn't gotten a fate box. He wondered what the deal was.

Or maybe he was wrong, and this family wasn't some characters from a movie?

Roy casually described the terrifying events, which the Parker family found horrifying.

Samantha frowned slightly as she looked at Roy.

"Roy, did you just kill them all?"

Roy nodded.

"This family was a cult that specialized in murdering travelers. The steaks we had for dinner were made from their victims, and those zombies were probably the victims' bodies too. These people didn't deserve any mercy!"

Samantha's worried expression softened, indicating her understanding of Roy's actions. She wasn't unreasonable, just that as a sheriff, her sense of justice was pretty strong.

"Oh, I see!"

Roy looked at Samantha and the others. They were all a bit damp, especially Samantha, who was practically soaked to the bone.

"You guys should hurry up and take a shower and change your clothes. I'll go look for some gasoline. Remember not to wander off or get separated."

Ashley looked at Roy, a little confused.

"Didn't you say that the creepy killer family was all taken care of? Why can't we split up?"

Roy's lips twitched. He couldn't exactly tell Ashley that because he hadn't gotten a fate box, he had a feeling things weren't completely over yet, could he?

Waving his hand, Roy just made up an excuse.

"Haven't you ever seen a horror movie? Splitting up in this kind of situation is definitely not a good idea. Besides, who knows if there are any other dangers inside the house."

Samantha patted Ashley on the shoulder.

"Listen to Roy. He's the expert in this kind of thing. He definitely wouldn't just say things for no reason. I'll take Mike to shower first, and you can shower with Elureesa later."

After going through all this, Samantha's trust in Roy was growing more and more.

Seeing that Samantha and the kids had sorted out the shower situation, Roy headed to the dining room by himself.

Huh, where were the Firefly family's bodies?

Still from House of 1000 Corpses (Baby dancing)

Chapter 180: Gotta Keep the Family Together

Generally speaking, these old American houses usually have a basement, and if there's any gasoline around, it's probably down there.

And the entrance to the basement is typically near the kitchen. That's the case with the Sawyer family's place too – the hidden basement door is in the kitchen.

That's why Roy ended up in the dining room just outside the kitchen. But he didn't expect the entire Farflay family to be gone.

Roy was pretty damn sure he'd killed all the Farflays.

I mean, one by one, they either had their necks snapped or their chests caved in. If they could survive that, wouldn't you have to call them some kind of legendary unkillable boss?

Then again, maybe not. The Farflays were cultists who worshipped the King of Fury, after all. Who knows what kind of evil magic they might have had to save their hides?

Roy quickly headed back to the living room to make sure the Farflays weren't trying to sneak up on anyone.

Elrasha and Ashley were sitting on the living room couch, being good as gold.

"Roy, why are you back so soon? Didn't you find the gas?" Ashley asked, looking surprised.

"Something's up! The whole Farflay family has vanished."

"What?"

Just then, a huge clap of thunder rattled the house, making Ashley jump.

It was late March, so thunder wasn't exactly a shock, but this one made all the lights in the house suddenly go out.

Ashley yelped and practically leaped into Roy's arms.

"Aaaah!"

In old country houses, power outages from lightning and unstable voltage are pretty common.

But like Roy said before, everything was just a little too convenient.

The Farflay family disappears, then suddenly there's thunder, and after the thunder, the lights go out.

It was like one thing leading to another, straight out of a standard horror movie script, giving Roy a weird feeling in his gut.

He should probably calm Ashley down first.

"It's okay, Ashley, just a tripped breaker."

"Roy, I'm so scared!"

Ashley was squirming in his arms, and Roy had a feeling she wasn't really that terrified and might just be trying to get a feel.

Was she planning on taking advantage of Samantha being gone to get a little action?

"Roy, what happened? Why did the lights suddenly go out?"

Too bad for Ashley, Samantha came out of the bathroom with her son pretty quickly. Of course, with the house pitch black, she couldn't see what her daughter was up to.

Roy quickly put Ashley down, even though the whole "mother-daughter dynamic" thing was kind of a turn-on.

Ashley covered her mouth, giggling. She definitely felt Roy's reaction, which meant he still had feelings for her.

"Looks like the breaker tripped, but I'm not totally sure!"

"Mommy, I feel a little cold."

The youngest, Mike, was really sensitive to changes in the environment. Once he said that, everyone else noticed that the house seemed to have gotten noticeably colder.

Even though rain usually brings the temperature down, this felt like a pretty drastic drop.

If they could feel it that strongly, the room temperature had probably dropped at least four or five degrees.

"I'll light the fireplace!"

Old houses do have their perks. At least with the power out, they still had a fireplace in the living room they could use.

But Roy ran into trouble when he tried to light it. He struck several matches, and none of them caught fire. Things were starting to feel really off.

Gradually, Roy also started to feel the chill. The Parker family was practically freezing and had huddled together for warmth.

Even Elrasha, a succubus, was getting cold and came over to Roy for a hug.

"Daddy, cold!"

"Roy, isn't the fireplace lit yet?"

"Almost there!"

He struck another match, and in frustration, Roy threw the matchbox away. Then he pulled out his revolver and shot the head of a match. Finally, it lit.

The fireplace was finally going, and the people in the living room finally felt a little bit of warmth.

But Elrasha clung to Roy and wouldn't let go, making Ashley super jealous.

"Let's just rough it out here in the living room tonight and look for gas again tomorrow," Roy suggested.

He was worried that if he left, the others might get attacked, so he decided to stay put.

Samantha also felt like something was wrong in the house, but with the heavy rain outside and no gas for the car, they were stuck inside.

"Okay, that sounds safer," she agreed.

But something clearly didn't want Roy and his group to have a peaceful night, because then...

"Waaaaah..."

Ashley, who had closed her eyes to rest, suddenly heard the faint sound of a baby crying. It was so clear, it sounded like the baby was right next to her.

It scared Ashley so badly she let out a shriek.

"Ah! Did you guys hear a baby crying?"

"A baby crying?"

Everyone listened intently. They could definitely hear something that sounded like a baby crying, and it seemed to be coming from the kitchen.

Mike got so scared he immediately grabbed onto his mother. Ashley wanted to hug Roy, but Elrasha already had him in a tight embrace.

Samantha looked at Roy with suspicion and uncertainty. In the flickering light of the fireplace, you could tell she was really scared too.

"Roy, did the Farflay family have a baby?"

"I don't know! If they did, why would the baby be in the kitchen?"

Logically, even if there was a baby, it should be in a bedroom upstairs, right? Unless... was it being kept as emergency food?

That thought was way too messed up. Roy quickly shook his head to clear it.

Kind-hearted Samantha felt bad listening to the baby's desperate cries.

"Roy, should we go take a look?"

Roy glanced at everyone's expressions and nodded.

"Yeah, let's all go check it out. You guys won't be able to sleep with that crying going on."

With that, Roy put Elrasha down and pulled a few flashlights out of his inventory, handing them to Samantha and Ashley.

Samantha looked at the flashlights, surprised.

"Where did you get those flashlights?"

"Found them when I went into the dining room earlier. Just kept them on me."

In the countryside, the voltage was often unstable, and power outages were common, so people definitely kept flashlights and candles handy.

As soon as the five of them left the living room, the fire in the fireplace quickly died down, and the room was plunged back into darkness.

The baby's crying seemed to come and go, sometimes close, sometimes far away, making everyone's skin crawl.

When Roy entered the dining room, he realized the baby's crying wasn't coming from there, but from the basement.

The door leading to the basement was open, and the baby's cries echoed endlessly from inside, like it had its own reverb.

Samantha looked at the dark, gaping doorway with hesitation.

"Roy, do we really have to go down there?"

Roy smirked. That baby had some serious lungs. It had been crying for almost fifteen minutes straight, and the sound hadn't changed at all.

That was definitely not normal.

"Let's go down and see what kind of tricks the Farflay family is playing!"

The basement was really deep. It took Roy and the others a full minute of careful walking to reach the bottom.

The first thing they saw was a room that looked like a storage area. Iron hooks hung down from the ceiling, like they were for hanging meat, but instead of livestock, there were human bodies hanging there.

"Aaaah!"

Ashley and Mike immediately squeezed their eyes shut. The sight was a little too much for them to handle.

Samantha also frowned deeply. Roy had told her how evil the Farflay family was, but she hadn't really seen it until now.

You could even see kids among the hanging corpses!

The thought of her own children almost ending up on those hooks filled Samantha with rage. She wished she could find the Farflays and put a few bullets in them.

"Roy, this Farflay family is just awful!"

"Hold on, Samantha. I bet the Farflay family is hiding somewhere in this basement. We can settle the score with them later."

Roy continued deeper into the basement. There was a spacious stone room with an inverted pentagram drawn on the floor in bright red blood.

This had to be the Farflay family's ritual chamber.

At that moment, the Farflay family was all gathered there. Six people stood motionless around the inverted pentagram, looking like they were dead.

In the middle of the six people, right in the center of the pentagram, was a large, clear glass jar. And inside the jar was a baby.

It looked like one of those biological specimens preserved in formaldehyde.

The baby crying they had been hearing was coming from this large glass jar.

"Roy, what in the world is going on?"

The bizarre scene made the Parker family's skin crawl. Ashley couldn't help but tug on Roy's arm.

Roy smirked. He had a pretty good idea of what was happening.

"If I'm not mistaken, that baby in the jar is the last member of the Farflay family."

No wonder he hadn't gotten a destiny treasure chest yet. He hadn't finished the job!

Gotta keep the family together!

Samantha looked at the baby in the glass jar in shock.

"Isn't that baby dead?"

"Maybe it's in some kind of state between life and death."

Just as he finished speaking, cracks started to appear on the glass jar, and a foul-smelling liquid seeped out.

Then the cracks grew bigger and bigger until the entire jar shattered, and the baby crawled out.

The baby's wrinkled skin quickly turned bright red as it came into contact with the air, and at the same time, two tiny, delicate horns sprouted from its head.

Roy thought: Why are your horns so pointy?

The baby thought: Well, let me ask you...

Then, a pair of bat wings unfurled from the baby's back.

"Ah-ha! I, the great Lord Cask, have finally arrived in the human world! Humans, you will kneel before the magnificent Lord Cask!"

Judging by the current situation, it seemed like Sophie had given birth to a stillborn baby, but Captain Spalding had tried to use demonic magic to bring the child back to life.

However, resurrection was always the most advanced form of magic, so Captain Spalding had never succeeded.

Until now. With Roy having almost completely wiped out the Farflay family, Captain Spalding had risked his last bit of power to summon a demon to possess the stillborn baby, hoping to get revenge on Roy.

But it looked like only a minor demon had possessed the baby. How much fighting power could a little demon like that have?

Roy walked forward and grabbed the little demon's head. It tried to dodge, but it couldn't fly because of the liquid all over it.

"So, you're the one they call Cask?" Roy asked.

The little demon struggled fiercely, but its tiny arms and legs couldn't reach Roy.

"F*** you! You stupid human, let go of Lord Cask right now, or you'll be sorry!"

The little demon's foul mouth made Roy instinctively slap it.

"F*** you! How dare you hit me!"

Another slap.

"F*** you! I'm going to make you feel real pain!"

A third slap.

"You..."

This time, Roy didn't even let the little demon open its mouth before delivering a fourth slap.

"Stop hitting me..."

A fifth slap.

"F***..."

A sixth slap.

After slapping the little demon Cask more than a dozen times, the little guy's eyes finally started to clear up.

"Why aren't you even a little bit scared of me?"

"What do you think?" Roy replied.

With his back to the others, Roy's pupils turned a dark gold color, letting Cask know that he had run into someone of his own kind.

As the saying goes, the most naked hatred is between those in the same trade. Cask quickly put on a fawning expression.

"Sir, I am a servant of the King of Fury. Could you possibly spare me?"

Roy gave an evil grin.

"Of course—not!"

Just as Cask's face lit up with hope, Roy instantly crushed its head.

Cask died instantly, without any pain.

[Ding! Obtained the Farflay family's destiny treasure chest! Open it?]

Finally got the destiny treasure chest. Roy wiped his hands clean.

"All done! This house should be safe now! I'm going to go check the circuit breaker and then take a shower."

Because he had crushed Cask's head, Roy had gotten a lot of demon blood on himself, which was sticky and pretty gross.

Hearing this, Elrasha's eyes lit up.

"I wanna shower too!"

Roy looked at Elrasha's expression and knew the little succubus was craving some more "fresh baby milkshake."

Come to think of it, Elrasha hadn't eaten for a day. She definitely needed something.

However, Samantha seemed to have misunderstood, thinking Elrasha really just wanted a bath.

"Roy, should I help Elrasha take a bath?"

"Samantha, Elrasha only lets me help her shower. She throws a fit if anyone else tries," Roy explained.

Samantha looked at Roy and Elrasha with a puzzled expression, not understanding why Elrasha had so many strange quirks.

Soon, Roy found the circuit breaker and restored the power.

With Cask dead, the power was back on, and the whole house felt like it had come back to life. Ashley and Mike felt much more comfortable.

However, for safety reasons, Roy and the others decided to make a makeshift bed on the living room floor to avoid any unexpected incidents.

So, the Parker family went to the bedrooms to move mattresses and blankets, while Roy went to the bathroom with Elrasha to take a shower.

"Hungry, food!" Elrasha mumbled.

However, Roy didn't notice that someone was peeking through the crack in the bathroom door from the outside.

Chapter 181: Daddy, I Like It

Because she had been drinking fresh baby smoothies for a long time, Eluriel had made significant progress in her skills and abilities.

At least, Eluriel couldn't do acrobatics like this before, but now she could.

Moreover, Eluriel's endurance was incredibly strong; she didn't feel any pain at all.

Perhaps this was a unique talent of succubi; at least, none of the other women around Roy could do it.

Even Penny and Lilith, who had the most refined techniques, couldn't manage this.

Well, what could you do? Roy's strength had already surpassed the limits of what a human could handle.

That's why Penny's voice would become particularly hoarse for a long time after each session, but Eluriel was completely unaffected.

Over here, Eluriel was diligently eating, a scene that shocked the person who was secretly watching.

Could a human really do something like that?

The eavesdropper couldn't help but doubt their life; their worldview was constantly being reshaped in this situation.

But for some reason, the eavesdropper also felt a bit envious of Eluriel, wishing they could take her place.

"Ashley, Ashley, where did you go?"

Samantha's voice came from outside the bathroom. Ashley quickly left the bathroom door to meet up with Samantha.

"Mom, I'm here!"

Roy didn't have the energy to care about what was happening outside; he was just too busy.

Soon, Eluriel finally got to eat what she had been dreaming of.

Roy wanted to end the "gastric examination," but Eluriel hadn't had enough and wouldn't let him leave.

Helpless, Roy could only get into the bathtub and feed her while taking a bath.

An hour later, Eluriel was finally completely satisfied.

Roy breathed a sigh of relief; another minute and his skin would have been completely wrinkled.

When he returned to the living room, Roy noticed Ashley's strange gaze, which made him feel a bit odd.

"Ashley, why are you looking at me like that?"

"N-nothing!"

"Everyone should get some sleep early. I'll help keep watch tonight."

The night's fright had left the Parker family exhausted, and they quickly fell asleep. Roy, on the other hand, checked the treasure chest of destiny he had just obtained.

Speaking of which, the treasure chest from the spider-woman hadn't been opened yet. Should he open both chests now?

But there wasn't a little kitty around to wash his hands, was there?

Could he use Eluriel?

Roy already knew Eluriel's body inside and out. The little succubus was a hairless cat; it didn't seem like she could wash hands.

Still, might as well try. He always felt like he wouldn't have good luck opening chests without washing his hands.

Roy reached out to Eluriel and stroked the hairless cat a few times. Unexpectedly, Eluriel opened her eyes and looked at him with a surprised expression.

This made Roy a little embarrassed, and he immediately wanted to pull his hand back.

However, Eluriel held Roy's hand and said a few words in a barely audible voice.

"Daddy, like!"

Roy was stunned for a moment, so he didn't pull his hand back and just started opening the chests like that.

\[Opening the Spider-Woman's Treasure Chest of Destiny...]

\[Gained 1 point of Strength!]

\[Gained 2 points of Constitution!]

The first chest didn't yield anything good, so Roy had no choice but to keep petting the hairless cat to try and change his luck.

\[Opening the Falafel Family's Treasure Chest of Destiny...]

\[Gained 2 points of Strength!]

\[Gained 2 points of Constitution!]

\[Gained the special ability Frenzy!]

Finally, something good! It proved that even a hairless cat could "wash hands" for luck.

\[Frenzy: Enhances explosive power through extreme rage and can also ignore some mental control abilities. However, be careful, as you can easily injure allies in this state!]

This seemed to be the same kind of ability Captain Spalding had to resist the Shadow of Fear, but Captain Spalding's ability was limited, so even under extreme rage, he just got angry for a moment.

But in Roy's hands, this ability should be able to unleash greater effects.

With the chests opened, Roy satisfiedly withdrew his hand. By this time, Eluriel had already fallen asleep. Roy looked out the window at the wind and rain, feeling bored.

The next morning, Roy took a short nap.

When Roy woke up, Samantha had already fixed the yellow Chevrolet Camaro and filled it up with gas.

"Didn't expect you to have this kind of skill."

Samantha smiled.

"Raising kids alone means you have to learn some things. Roy, let's just head out!"

Everyone didn't want to eat the Falafel family's food and just wanted to leave this damn house as soon as possible.

The rest of the journey went very smoothly. Roy and the others didn't encounter any more strange incidents and successfully arrived in Gravity Falls at dusk.

Gravity Falls was as peaceful as ever. Roy even ran into an old acquaintance at the entrance of the town.

"Hey, Sheriff Hughes, what's going on now?"

Hughes looked at the people in the Chevrolet Camaro with some surprise and then answered Roy.

"Nothing, I'm just bored so I'm keeping watch here for a bit. And these folks are?"

"Let me introduce you. This is Samantha Parker, she's also a sheriff. And these are Ashley Parker and Mike Parker, Samantha's kids. This is Eluriel, a distant relative of mine. They're moving to our town for some reasons."

Hearing this, Hughes' eyes lit up, and he extended his hand towards Samantha.

"Hello, Ms. Parker! The town's police department is short-handed. Would you be interested in joining the Gravity Falls Police Department?"

Ever since the Ghostface Killer incident last year, Gravity Falls had been unable to fill its police force.

With the tourist season about to begin, the town would need more police to maintain order. It would be great if an experienced sheriff could join.

"I'll consider it."

Samantha smiled. It would be great for her to return to her old profession, after all, she didn't have any other specialized skills.

"Sheriff Hughes, let's chat again later. I still need to take them to find a motel."

"Alright, then I won't bother you any further."

Roy drove to the motel he had stayed at several times before. The motel owner looked at Roy with great shock as he brought several more beautiful women.

The first time he only brought one, the second time he brought two, and this time it was even more incredible, he brought three directly.

Was he increasing the number of beauties each time?

However, the motel owner quickly noticed Mike's presence and realized he had misunderstood.

"Boss, two rooms, please."

"No problem."

After getting the rooms, Roy helped carry the luggage and was about to leave first.

Samantha stopped Roy.

"Roy, let's talk."

"What do you want to talk about?"

"Let's talk outside."

Samantha led Roy outside the motel.

"Roy, Eluriel isn't your distant relative, is she?"

Roy raised an eyebrow. Since Samantha had already figured it out, there was no need to continue lying.

"How did you figure that out?"

"If she were really your relative, there's no reason you wouldn't take her home."

Okay, so that's how it leaked. Samantha had good insight; it seemed it wasn't just because she was in the military that she became a sheriff.

"Yes, Eluriel is indeed not my relative. Her identity is quite special. I can't take her home, so I can only ask you to take care of her temporarily."

Roy planned to have Heather and Penny take care of Eluriel after they returned.

"Is there something special about her body?"

Samantha frowned and pressed for more information.

"Do you really need to know?"

Samantha nodded solemnly. As a mother, she couldn't leave a stranger with unknown origins around her children.

"Alright, then I'll tell you, but you need to be prepared."

"I'm ready."

"Actually, Eluriel is a succubus."

Samantha's mouth fell open in disbelief.

"Is it the kind of succubus I know about?"

Having already seen a real little devil, Samantha didn't doubt Roy's words at all.

"Yes, it's the kind of succubus you know."

"But Roy, why are you traveling with a succubus?"

"Eluriel is different from other succubi. Her soul is pure, and she hasn't harmed anyone. You can rest assured about that."

Hearing Roy say this, Samantha finally felt a little more relieved.

"Then what does Eluriel eat?"

"Uh, she eats something quite special. I'll deliver it to you regularly, so you don't have to worry."

Samantha looked at Roy suspiciously, feeling like he was still hiding something from her.

Just as she was about to continue questioning him, someone called Roy's name in the distance.

"Roy!"

The two of them turned their heads at the same time and saw a tall and beautiful woman waving at Roy.

"Teacher Elizabeth?"

"Roy, come over here, I need to talk to you."

"Sorry, Samantha, my high school teacher needs to talk to me. Anyway, please take care of Eluriel for me temporarily. Call me if anything happens, and I'll take her away in a while."

As he spoke, Roy walked towards Elizabeth.

"Teacher Elizabeth, what do you need me for?"

Elizabeth rolled her beautiful eyes.

"You suddenly ran off for almost a month. Can't a teacher worry about you? Come on, drive me home!"

Elizabeth got directly into Roy's Chevrolet Camaro, acting like it was her own car. Roy helplessly started the car and drove her home.

At this moment, the radio in the Chevrolet Camaro started playing automatically again, playing a very flirtatious little tune, which made Elizabeth look at him with interest.

"Interesting! Roy, I can always find something fun around you."

Roy chuckled and didn't respond.

More than ten minutes later, the Chevrolet Camaro arrived at Elizabeth's estate in the suburbs.

At this moment, Elizabeth's expression suddenly changed. She grabbed Roy by the collar and pulled him closer to the estate.

"Teacher Elizabeth, don't do that!"

"Hmph! Stop pretending! No one's watching!"

Roy was pulled into the estate by Elizabeth just like that, and then she waved her hand, and the gate closed automatically.

Then, Elizabeth looked at Roy with a scrutinizing gaze, sniffing him all over, looking just like a wife checking up on her husband who came home late.

"Teacher Elizabeth, what are you doing?"

Hearing this, Elizabeth looked at Roy with a particularly strange expression.

"Not bad! You asked for a week's leave, but you didn't come back for almost a month, and you were fooling around outside, weren't you?"

Roy felt a little embarrassed. Elizabeth's words sounded more and more like a wife checking up on her husband.

"Well, it's because UCLA insisted that I had to play in a cup match in Los Angeles, so I had to extend my vacation."

Elizabeth grabbed Roy by the collar again and casually cast a barrier.

"Then explain to me, why do you have such a strong scent of Asmodeus on you?"

Looking at Elizabeth's expression, it seemed like she had a grudge against Asmodeus.

But it seemed normal to have a grudge. How could the seven demon kings of hell always be harmonious? Conflicts between them were common.

"Teacher Elizabeth, you've misunderstood! Actually, the scent of the King of Lust came from this!"

Roy explained the matter of Eluriel. Elizabeth's expression became even stranger. By the time Roy finished speaking, Elizabeth started laughing out loud.

"Well done, little Roy! Where is Asmodeus's daughter? I want to see what she looks like!"

Roy felt like Elizabeth had some ulterior motive and didn't really want to bring Eluriel to meet her.

Elizabeth narrowed her eyes and sized up Roy.

"Oh, little Roy, are you going through your rebellious phase too? Teacher is really disappointed! Oh well, it's just Asmodeus's daughter. Do you want to tell me about where the other scents on you came from?"

Elizabeth was probably referring to the aura of Mammon, the King of Greed. After all, Roy had been in close contact with Mammon during the Devil's Late-Night Show incident, so it was inevitable that he would pick up some of his aura.

"Well, it's a bit complicated..."

Roy briefly recounted what had happened. Elizabeth's expression immediately changed, and then she suddenly ripped open Roy's clothes, making Roy think Elizabeth was about to do something improper.

"You have Mammon's mark on you!"

Roy was shocked.

"Mammon's mark? What does that mean?"

Elizabeth released Roy and clapped her hands.

"Demons can mark their enemies so they can find them directly the next time they encounter them. However, the demon king's mark is quite special. This mark will allow Mammon's followers or subordinates to find you. To please Mammon, they will frantically attack you once they find you."

So, something like that existed?

"Teacher Elizabeth, can this mark be erased?"

"Of course, I can do it."

Elizabeth suddenly turned and walked inside.

"Then, beautiful Teacher Elizabeth, can you help me erase the mark of the King of Greed?"

"Hehe, that depends on your performance, little Roy!"

Elizabeth turned around and playfully used her finger to lift Roy's chin. The meaning was self-evident.

Roy felt a little helpless. It seemed like he was going to have another tough battle tonight.

Gritting his teeth and stomping his foot, Roy decided to go all out.

"Teacher Elizabeth, I will definitely satisfy you!"

A smile appeared on Elizabeth's face.

"Then come with me, little Roy!"

Elizabeth led Roy to the basement of the estate. There was actually a huge, empty room down there.

In the middle of the room was a bottomless pool of water, no one knew where the underground water came from.

"Little Roy, now take off your clothes and jump into the water."
