The “Cherries” as they were often nicknamed, were very versatile and robust units. Beside their obvious use, they also doubled as ship security and repair units. This wide spectrum of responsibilities was introduced to keep these AIs occupied and “happy”. The reality was though, that they were so much into the sex acts with their human colleagues, they were often abandoning their duties to engage in erotic activities anywhere and anytime. Lots of awkward situations ensued onboard these vessels.
