*Chapter 321: Gathering of the Nine Tails*

The blue sword light transformed into a mighty azure dragon, rushing headlong at the enormous Tailed Beast Bomb.

In an instant, the dragon coiled tightly around the bomb, as if intent on crushing it outright.

However, the strength of the Ten-Tails' Tailed Beast Bomb was beyond imagination. Although the azure dragon's power was immense, it failed to neutralize the attack entirely.

Anyone with the extraordinary visual prowess of Kimimaro's reincarnation eyes would clearly see this.

But he still acted.

Because his goal wasn’t to block the Tailed Beast Bomb but to shatter it!

A glint of icy determination flashed in Kimimaro's eyes, and the dragon let out a piercing roar!

In a split second, the roar reverberated across the heavens and the earth.

It sounded like a cry of despair under unbearable strain.

“This is bad! Kimimaro’s technique can’t stop that Tailed Beast Bomb!”

Jiraiya exclaimed in shock.

Minato and Tobirama immediately heightened their vigilance.

If Kimimaro couldn’t contain it, they were prepared to act, utilizing the Flying Thunder God Technique to divert the bomb elsewhere.

“Kimimaro…” Tsunade’s worry was written all over her face.

“Die, Kimimaro!” Nagato bellowed in fury, amplifying the power of the Tailed Beast Bomb even further.

At that moment, Kimimaro suddenly exerted his full strength.

“Break apart!”

In an instant, the massive Tailed Beast Bomb shattered under the dragon's constriction.

It split into seven smaller bombs, which shot off in different directions.

“This is terrible! If those Tailed Beast Bombs hit populated areas, the damage will be catastrophic!”

Minato cried out, alarmed, and Tobirama's brows knitted tightly.

The next moment, the two moved swiftly.

The terrifying speed of the Flying Thunder God Technique kicked into action, and they each pursued one of the bombs, determined to relocate them before they could land.

However, there were seven bombs in total, and just the two of them couldn’t handle all of them.

The remaining five bombs hurtled toward the Five Great Shinobi Villages.

This seeming accident was, in fact, entirely under Kimimaro’s control.

Of course, his manipulation was so subtle that even someone as powerful as Six Paths Nagato couldn’t detect it.

This attack was part of Kimimaro’s carefully laid plan.

The five bombs were aimed specifically at the bases of the Five Great Shinobi Villages, where Kimimaro had already ordered members of the Hollow Night Palace to set up powerful defensive barriers.

The barriers’ purpose was to intercept this very attack.

Naturally, every ninja village already had its own defensive barriers, but their strength was insufficient to withstand Tailed Beast Bombs of this magnitude.

Kimimaro's barriers, imbued with his own power, would be more than capable of stopping the bombs.

However, the barriers couldn’t appear too early. They had to wait until the bombs shattered the villages' original defenses before activating, creating a scene of perilous salvation.

This way, the villagers would truly understand who had saved them.

This was Kimimaro’s act of extending goodwill.

Though it seemed contrived, not everyone could see through his scheme.

Kimimaro sought nothing more than goodwill—a seed he intended to sow for future plans.

“What is that?!”

As the Tailed Beast Bombs streaked down like meteors, the defenders of the villages were shocked, and the civilians fell into panic.

“Tailed Beast Bombs? Why are they here?!”

Though still young, Konohamaru, being the Third Hokage’s grandson, immediately recognized the destructive orbs.

Seeing the bombs, his heart filled with dread.

At their current strength, the bombs could easily reduce Konoha to rubble.

“Defense! Activate all defenses!”

The village defenders scrambled to action, erecting the barrier that enveloped Konoha.

The collision came swiftly.

Crack!

In mere moments, Konoha’s barrier shattered under the impact, unable to hold for even a second.

“It’s over… everything is over…”

Despair filled their faces, but then, unexpectedly, a new barrier emerged.

Clang!

The resilient new barrier stopped the bombs in their tracks.

People could even feel the bombs just inches away, blocked by an invisible force.

“What is this?”

Shock rippled through the crowd, quickly replaced by relief.

“It’s a barrier! Such a powerful barrier—it even stopped the Tailed Beast Bomb!”

“It must be those people who claimed to be from the Hollow Night Palace. They activated the barrier—they saved us!”

“Hollow Night Palace? Were they really here to protect us?”

The disbelief and joy in the Konoha defenders' voices were unmistakable.

Similar scenes played out in the other four villages.

In no time, goodwill toward the Hollow Night Palace surged in all Five Great Shinobi Villages.

When the allied ninja forces returned, they would carry this goodwill back with them.

Whatever Kimimaro planned next, he had already set the stage by earning their favor.

Boom!

The five Tailed Beast Bombs exploded simultaneously.

Yet all the destruction was contained within the barriers, leaving the villages unscathed.

Meanwhile, Minato and Tobirama managed to relocate the two other bombs to the ocean, where they detonated harmlessly.

On the battlefield, most were still unaware the five bombs had been dealt with.

Seeing the bombs fly toward their respective villages, the allied forces grew increasingly anxious.

“This is bad. That bomb is heading for Konoha!”

“And that one toward the Mist Village!”

Tension gripped the allied forces.

“Damn it! That leader of the Akatsuki must be trying to destroy the Five Great Shinobi Villages with the Tailed Beast Bombs!”

“That despicable man—he must be stopped!”

The forces boiled with anger.

“Could it be… are the villages truly doomed?”

Naruto was momentarily overwhelmed, but under the perception granted by the Nine-Tails' chakra, he quickly realized the village was unharmed.

“No, everyone’s chakra is intact. The Tailed Beast Bomb was stopped by some kind of power before it hit the village!” he exclaimed excitedly.

“What kind of power could stop a Tailed Beast Bomb?” Tsunade asked in shock. Moments ago, she had been filled with despair—no one understood the limitations of Konoha's barrier system better than she did. It was impossible for such a barrier to withstand the Tailed Beast Bomb's force.

“That power... it feels like Kimimaro’s,” Naruto said after focusing his senses.

“Kimimaro’s power? Could it be...” Tsunade’s eyes widened as realization struck.

“Could Kimimaro have enlisted help from Hueco Mundo? No wonder we haven’t seen them around. He’s so thorough,” Tsunade thought to herself.

Meanwhile, Kimimaro was still locked in combat with Nagato, completely unaware of the others' thoughts.

After the clash of the Tailed Beast Bomb and Kimimaro's Azure Dragon Strike, the battle shifted to close quarters. Kimimaro’s unparalleled taijutsu skills left even Nagato, imbued with the power of the Six Paths, struggling to keep up. Nagato, who had spent years confined to a chair, lacked the physical prowess to match Kimimaro and was being relentlessly suppressed.

With a devastating punch, Kimimaro struck Nagato’s face, sending him flying several meters.

“It seems I still have the upper hand in taijutsu,” Kimimaro said with a smirk.

Nagato spat blood and glared at Kimimaro coldly. “It seems I underestimated you. To think your strength would reach such a level. Even as the Ten-Tails’ jinchūriki, I cannot defeat you in this state.”

“Oh? Are you conceding?” Kimimaro asked mockingly.

“No,” Nagato replied with a steely gaze. “The reason I cannot defeat you is that my state is incomplete. The Nine-Tails’ power has not fully merged into my body. My Ten-Tails form is not yet perfected. Once I absorb the Nine-Tails’ chakra, you will stand no chance!”

“And how do you plan to do that?” Kimimaro asked, unconcerned.

“With this!” Nagato extended his right hand. “Universal Pull!”

A powerful gravitational force emanated from his palm, targeting Naruto. Caught off guard, Naruto found himself being dragged toward Nagato.

“Damn it!” Naruto shouted as he struggled against the pull. But Nagato was prepared and would not let him escape. In an instant, he closed the distance and reached out toward Naruto.

Kimimaro frowned and immediately moved to intercept, his speed surpassing Nagato’s. However, sensing Kimimaro’s approach, Nagato increased his own speed using the repulsion of Almighty Push, propelling himself forward and arriving in front of Naruto.

A black chain shot out from Nagato’s right hand, wrapping around Naruto’s neck. “Come forth!” Nagato roared, pulling the Nine-Tails’ chakra out of Naruto’s body.

“Naruto!” Jiraiya shouted in alarm, but it was too late. Nagato’s precision and speed left no time for intervention.

“It’s done!” Nagato exulted as the Nine-Tails' chakra surged into his body.

But at that moment, Kimimaro’s right hand silently struck Nagato’s abdomen. “What?!” Nagato exclaimed in shock as he felt his own Tailed Beast chakra being siphoned away by Kimimaro.

“Don’t get ahead of yourself,” Kimimaro said coldly.

Nagato erupted with chakra, aiming a powerful kick at Kimimaro, who raised his left arm to block and was sent flying several meters. Despite this, Kimimaro managed to catch the weakened Naruto and retreat to safety.

“Naruto! Wake up!” Jiraiya called out, his voice filled with urgency. But Naruto remained unresponsive.

“The chakra’s extraction has left Naruto critically weakened,” Tsunade said, her face pale.

“There’s only one way to save him,” Kimimaro said. “Minato-senpai must transfer the Nine-Tails’ chakra from himself to Naruto. Only then can he survive.”

“You’re right!” Jiraiya exclaimed. As Minato returned from redirecting the Tailed Beast Bomb, he immediately assessed the situation and prepared to save his son.

Meanwhile, Nagato absorbed the Nine-Tails’ chakra into the Gedo Statue, initiating the complete formation of the Ten-Tails. A powerful black aura surrounded Nagato as spatial distortions rippled around him, making it impossible for anyone to approach.

Kimimaro glanced at the Tailed Beast chakra he had seized earlier, a piece of Shukaku’s chakra. “It seems I’ll need to fuse these chakras soon,” he muttered.

At that moment, a killing intent pierced the air. “Die, Kimimaro!” A black-flamed arrow shot toward him—it was Sasuke, having pursued him for days.

Kimimaro turned calmly, catching the arrow with two fingers. “Is that all?” he said, snapping the Amaterasu-coated arrow in half, the flames failing to harm him.

“Even now, you persist in your vengeance. Impressive dedication,” Kimimaro mocked.

“Your life ends here!” Sasuke roared, attacking with all his might.

Kimimaro, uninterested in prolonging the fight, threw his black bone blade with precision, impaling Sasuke and pinning him against a rock wall.

“How…?” Sasuke gasped, staring at the blade in disbelief as his vision dimmed.

“Reality is harsh,” Kimimaro said, turning his attention back to the battlefield.

The war for the Ten-Tails had only begun.

Chapter 322: The Ten Blades Appear

Sasuke and Naruto were both on the verge of death, yet Kimimaro showed no interest in their plight.

This was all part of the natural course of events.

No matter the circumstances, the reincarnations of the Sage of Six Paths’ sons would inevitably unlock their latent power.

With the Sage of Six Paths pulling the strings, as long as he willed it, these two would not perish—not yet.

At least not before Kaguya's emergence.

Kimimaro, however, had no desire to kill either of them.

At this moment, he had claimed Shukaku's chakra. With the chakras of all nine tailed beasts gathered within him, he had achieved what he desired.

Though the power wasn’t quite on par with the nine beasts contained within Nagato, it was enough for Kimimaro.

The collective power of the nine tailed beasts meant the Ten Tails could now take form.

Once the Ten Tails had a foundation, its power could develop further on its own.

Kimimaro, too, needed time for his transformation.

But as he observed Nagato’s increasingly overwhelming aura, he realized his time was running short.

Fortunately, he had prepared for this.

“Ten Blades, manifest!”

With a low command, ten Flying Thunder God teleportation seals appeared around Kimimaro.

In the next moment, ten figures emerged from the teleportation arrays.

*The Espada of Las Noches!*

---

*Tenth Espada: Sasori of the Red Sand*

“So, it’s finally our turn? How delightful—I’ve been ready for ages.”

With a cold sneer, Sasori summoned three massive puppets: a purple Unit-01, a red-and-white Super Photon Guardian, and the majestic Dragon God.

The oppressive aura from these puppets was no less intimidating than that of a fully realized Susano’o.

Having augmented his abilities with countless powers and turned himself into a cyborg, Sasori’s strength now surpassed that of most Kage-level shinobi. He had even approached the threshold of the Six Paths level.

The title of Tenth Espada suited him perfectly, though it owed much to Kimimaro's assistance.

Kankuro, witnessing Sasori and his puppets, couldn't help but look on with envy.

“So, those are Sasori-senpai's new creations? Amazing. Truly deserving of his reputation.”

In the realm of puppet mastery, Sasori stood unchallenged at the peak.

Kankuro, the strongest puppet master of his generation, felt the gap between him and Sasori was insurmountable.

The Sand Village’s puppet master lineage might be in jeopardy.

---

*Ninth Espada: Kakuzu*

Kakuzu surveyed the battlefield with a nostalgic glint in his eyes.

“The Shinobi World War... It truly stirs old memories.”

His gaze eventually landed on Hashirama.

The man who had once terrified him to his core was here as well?

After a brief moment of shock, Kakuzu turned his gaze away.

Hashirama, however, noticed him and studied him intently.

“This person... looks familiar. Where have I seen him before?”

Though the thought lingered, Hashirama couldn't quite place him.

---

*Eighth Espada: Deidara*

“Ha-ha-ha! Kimimaro! You’ve finally let us join the fun! Watch me show Nagato the true art of explosions!”

Deidara’s laughter was wild and unrestrained, his eagerness palpable.

His loud voice caught the attention of Onoki.

“Deidara! You brat! How dare you show your face here again!”

Deidara paused briefly at his former master’s voice before clicking his tongue.

“Tch, old man, you’re here too? What a buzzkill. You’re too old to be meddling in war—go home already.”

“You insolent—!”

The two continued their bickering, as was their custom.

---

*Seventh Espada: Pikachu*

“Pika, pika!”

Pikachu, clad in white, gripped the dual blades of Lightning Fang tightly. Yellow arcs of electricity danced across its body, exuding an aura of terrifying power that belied its cute appearance.

This lightning beast naturally drew the attention of the Raikage.

“What kind of summoning beast is that? Such mastery of lightning style...”

The Raikage couldn’t help but feel envious of Pikachu’s master. A ninja with such a creature as an ally would surely be formidable.

---

*Sixth Espada: Kisame Hoshigaki*

Kisame grinned, revealing his shark-like teeth as he held the Samehada, which radiated an ominous energy. It was as if it sensed a feast awaiting it.

---

*Fifth Espada: Jugo*

“At last, I can fight alongside Kimimaro.”

Jugo clenched his fists, his excitement evident.

Since Kimimaro had freed him from the mountain cave, he had dreamed of being of use to him.

But Kimimaro’s overwhelming strength had always left Jugo feeling inadequate.

Now, however, he had the chance to stand alongside him on the battlefield, and he was ecstatic.

---

*Fourth Espada: Kabuto Yakushi*

Kabuto adjusted his glasses, their lenses reflecting a blinding light that concealed his expression. Only a faint smile played on his lips.

“It’s almost time to draw the net closed.”

---

*Third Espada: Hidan*

“Lord Jashin, today I shall offer you the finest sacrifice!”

Hidan’s gaze shifted to Nagato, his chosen prey.

No one could be a better offering than him.

---

*Second Espada: Suigetsu Hozuki*

“How troublesome. I can’t believe the boss actually pulled this off. But after receiving so much, I guess I can’t slack off.”

At Suigetsu’s side were five iconic ninja swords: the Executioner’s Blade, the Long Sword, the Blunt Sword, the Explosive Sword, and the Twin Swords.

During the Shinobi World War, Suigetsu had reclaimed these legendary weapons, once wielded by the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist.

Though he didn’t yet have all seven blades, his mastery of the five in his possession was flawless, as if they were extensions of himself.

With these weapons, Suigetsu’s combat power had soared to a new level.

---

*First Espada: Karin*

Her sensory abilities fully activated, Karin immediately grasped the sheer magnitude of Nagato’s chakra.

“This chakra... How could it be so overwhelming? At this rate, Kimimaro-sama might...”

For a moment, Karin felt a surge of anxiety for Kimimaro.

---

“All of you, hold the line for three minutes!”

Kimimaro’s voice rang out before he vanished entirely using the Flying Thunder God Technique.

This was part of the plan, so none of the Espada were surprised.

Onoki and the Raikage, however, were puzzled.

“Where did Kimimaro go? Could he be fleeing the battle?”

Onoki questioned, suspicion in his tone.

---

"Doesn't seem like it. He probably had everything planned ahead. This guy is truly hard to figure out," said the Fourth Raikage.

"Against Nagato in this state, can those people really hold their ground?" Onoki asked with concern as he looked toward the Espada.

The Fourth Raikage didn’t have an answer either.

Meanwhile, Tsunade was treating Naruto, and Minato was transferring the Nine-Tails' chakra into Naruto's body. The rescue was ongoing.

On the other side, Kabuto, accompanied by Karin, was treating Sasuke.

"Why are we saving him?" Karin asked suspiciously.

"Lord Orochimaru's orders. Sasuke cannot die yet," Kabuto replied.

Hearing this, Karin dared not voice any objections. Although she preferred Kimimaro, Orochimaru’s authority was not something she could take lightly.

Both sides continued their treatment simultaneously.

Elsewhere, Sasori and his allies faced off against Nagato.

"Let's not stand idle. Let’s join the fray," Hashirama said to Madara, Tobirama, and the Third Hokage.

"Agreed!" they replied in unison.

Nagato was now surrounded, but with his newfound power, he showed no concern. His gaze turned toward the Divine Tree.

At this moment, the Divine Tree had reached full growth. A vibrant flower bloomed at its peak.

"Almost there. Just a little more," Nagato muttered, his Rinnegan filled with anticipation.

"Nagato, Kimimaro is missing," Konan informed him.

"Heh, let him be. I’ve already harnessed the power of all nine Tailed Beasts. Now, no one can stop me—not Kimimaro, not anyone. They’re nothing but clowns to me," Nagato declared confidently.

He had every reason to feel so. The power within him continued to grow, seemingly limitless with the strength of the Ten-Tails.

"Wood Style: Wood Human Technique!" Hashirama summoned a massive wooden figure with a single arm.

Not to be outdone, Madara unleashed his Perfect Susano’o.

"Water Style: Hard Whirlpool Slash!" Tobirama conjured a spiraling water dragon.

"Water Style: Great Shark Bullet Technique!" Kisame, clearly thrilled to see Tobirama in action, joined in. In the realm of Water Style, Tobirama was among the very best, surpassing most Mizukage in history. Kisame couldn’t resist testing his skills against him.

Tobirama gave Kisame an approving glance. "A Mist Village ninja, huh? Impressive."

The combined water techniques surged toward Nagato. Extending his right hand, Nagato formed a six-path staff and erected a circular defensive barrier.

Boom! The attacks collided with the barrier but failed to penetrate it.

"What formidable defense," Tobirama murmured, frowning.

"Hmph, let’s see how tough it really is!" Madara swung Susano’o's massive sword, only for it to shatter upon impact. The recoil destabilized even Susano’o itself.

"This guy..." Madara muttered, narrowing his eyes.

Hashirama’s Wood Human launched a powerful punch, but the black barrier created by Truth-Seeking Orbs absorbed the attack without issue.

"Your techniques are useless against me. Give up," Nagato declared coldly, a section of the barrier dispersing to reveal his face.

"It seems conventional jutsu won’t harm him," Tobirama concluded.

"How would we know unless we try?" Sasori sneered, sending three colossal puppets to surround Nagato.

The First Puppet charged recklessly with a dagger, relentlessly striking the black barrier.

Meanwhile, the Super Energy Warrior unleashed a radiant blade, slashing at the barrier with a blinding strike. The golden energy illuminated the battlefield.

The Golden Lion transformed into its ultimate form, channeling its strength into the Lion’s Radiant Dragon Fist. Red energy erupted, crashing into the black barrier.

The combined power of these three attacks seemed overwhelming, forcing Nagato's Truth-Seeking Orb barrier to its limits.

"What kind of power is this? How can it challenge the Truth-Seeking Orbs?" Nagato was shaken.

Then came the cracking sound—the unbreakable barrier shattered, revealing a shocked Nagato.

The Espada seized the opportunity.

"Pika Pika!" Pikachu launched a Starburst Stream Slash, while Suigetsu wielded his five legendary swords in tandem.

Nagato found himself on the defensive, his six-path staff barely keeping up. Pikachu’s speed and relentless golden lightning strikes forced Nagato to split his focus.

"Wind Style: Pressure Damage!"

"Fire Style: Flaming Destruction!" Kakuzu enhanced his fire jutsu with wind, creating an inferno engulfing Nagato.

"Art is an explosion!" Deidara’s clay bombs added to the chaos, creating a massive explosion that shook the battlefield.

The Espada's combined might overwhelmed Nagato.

"Is this the power of Las Noches? They’re dominating the terrifying leader of Akatsuki!"

"They’re stronger than the Kage!"

"I hope so. Otherwise, our last hope lies with Las Noches," the Allied Shinobi Forces whispered among themselves.

Amidst the chaos, Nagato’s voice erupted from the smoke.

"Shinra Tensei!"

A massive repulsive force cleared the area. Flames, explosions, and even the attackers were hurled away, leaving Nagato standing alone.

"Are you done playing?" Nagato sneered. "This ends now!"

Nine Truth-Seeking Orbs shot toward his enemies.

Danger loomed.

---

*Chapter 323: Transformation*

Nine Truth-Seeking Orbs shot toward nine separate targets.

As techniques wielded only by those at the Six Paths level, the Truth-Seeking Orbs carried an incomparably fearsome power.

Though they appeared no larger than a Rasengan, their destructive capability surpassed even that of a colossal Tailed Beast Bomb.

Now, with nine orbs launched simultaneously, the nine targets immediately felt a profound sense of crisis.

These individuals were all battle-hardened veterans, their instincts for danger sharper than most.

“Not good!”

This was the unanimous thought in their minds.

Though each of them recognized the threat, some had means to counter the Truth-Seeking Orbs, while others did not.

At this moment, Sasori of the Red Sand was the first to act.

“Super Transformation! White Tiger Dragon God Mode!”

The power of the Frostfang Magatama erupted, transforming the golden Lion Dragon God into the white White Tiger Dragon God.

“White Tiger Ice Fang Fist!”

With a single punch, he unleashed a force that seemed capable of freezing everything in its path.

A flash of white light engulfed the orb aimed at Sasori, freezing it solid.

This freezing energy didn’t stop there; it extended toward the orbs targeting Kakuzu and Deidara.

As Kakuzu and Deidara deliberated on how to handle their respective orbs, the white light intercepted and neutralized them.

“Big bro Sasori! Amazing work!” Deidara exclaimed, immediately realizing Sasori had saved him.

Kakuzu merely glanced at Sasori, remaining silent, though his gaze carried a subtle shift.

He knew well that Sasori’s newfound strength was entirely thanks to Kimimaro. Otherwise, Sasori’s abilities would have been comparable to his own at best.

“Looks like I should approach Kimimaro for some of his power. The treasures he holds are truly remarkable,” Kakuzu mused, feeling a spark of greed.

However, this was not the time for such thoughts.

Sasori’s White Tiger Frostfang had neutralized three of the Truth-Seeking Orbs, but even he could do no more.

The remaining six were left to the others to handle.

Hashirama faced the incoming Truth-Seeking Orb with only a slight furrow of his brow. Extending his right hand, he muttered, “Sage Art! Wood Release: Wood Dragon Technique!”

A wooden dragon surged forth, snapping its jaws around the approaching orb.

Crunch!

To Hashirama’s surprise, the Truth-Seeking Orb was subdued far more easily than anticipated.

“Huh? That was easier than I thought,” Hashirama remarked, puzzled, before turning his gaze toward Tobirama.

For Tobirama, the orb never had a chance to land. Utilizing his Flying Thunder God Technique, he teleported away, leaving the orb to crash into the ground.

Boom!

The resulting explosion shook the earth, showcasing the sheer destructive power of a Truth-Seeking Orb for the first time.

Seeing Tobirama manage the situation with ease, Hashirama redirected his wooden dragon to intercept the orb headed for the Third Hokage.

Unlike Tobirama, the Third Hokage struggled to deal with the Truth-Seeking Orb. Though he unleashed the combined power of the Five Great Elements, the orb remained unscathed.

“Damn it!” the Third Hokage muttered as the wooden dragon arrived just in time, sacrificing itself to neutralize the orb.

Boom!

Both the orb and the wooden dragon were obliterated in the clash.

“Saved…” the Third Hokage sighed in relief.

On the other side of the battlefield, Madara faced his own orb but lacked the advantage of Sage Mode.

Unlike the original timeline where Madara obtained Sage Mode by absorbing Hashirama’s chakra, he currently lacked such power.

Even the full-body Susanoo was insufficient against the Truth-Seeking Orb.

When his Susanoo blade clashed with the orb, the weapon shattered, and the orb pierced through.

Crack!

“Damn it!” Madara cursed, forced to retreat as his Susanoo crumbled.

The power of the orb was unparalleled, even surpassing the Yin-Yang Release techniques he had previously mastered. This was the might of the Ten Tails, capable of reshaping the shinobi world.

His plans to become the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki were slipping away.

“Will Nagato proceed with the Infinite Tsukuyomi?” Madara wondered bitterly.

As events spiraled beyond his control, Madara realized his only hope lay in the others defeating Six Paths Nagato, extracting the Nine Tailed Beasts, and reviving him with Nagato’s Rinne Rebirth technique. Yet, each step seemed an insurmountable challenge.

“Where is Black Zetsu? Why hasn’t he shown up yet?” Madara suddenly recalled his hidden pawn, but Black Zetsu’s presence was nowhere to be found.

Meanwhile, Suigetsu, Kisame, and Pikachu faced their own struggles against three incoming orbs.

“My goodness, this is no joke!” Suigetsu exclaimed, activating his Void Curse Mark. A white skeletal mask appeared on his face as he swung his blade.

Thud!

The impact hurled Suigetsu hundreds of meters away, leaving him coughing blood.

“Boss, I gave it my all, but I can’t hold out anymore,” Suigetsu gasped, severely injured.

Nearby, Pikachu also fell back, wounded. Remarkably, his face bore traces of Sage Mode.

“Looks like we’re in the same boat, huh?” Suigetsu remarked with a wry smile, finding solace in Pikachu’s comparable plight.

Kisame, however, fared far worse. Lacking Sage Mode, speed, or allies to shield him, he faced the orb head-on.

Not even his Great Shark Bullet Technique could counter the orb’s overwhelming power.

Boom!

The explosion obliterated Kisame, leaving no trace behind.

Witnessing the carnage, Hashirama murmured, “If hit by one of those… not even bones remain.”

Nagato stretched out his hands, summoning the orbs back with Almighty Pull. The previously neutralized orbs shattered their restraints, returning to his side.

Beside Nagato, four more Truth-Seeking Orbs materialized.

“Has Sage Techniques become so commonplace?”

Nagato stared at the Truth-Seeking Orbs neutralized by the power of Sage Arts, his expression one of mild exasperation.

Previously, upon witnessing Sage Mode, he thought it was a rare and formidable technique that only a few could master. Yet here and now, the number of individuals capable of wielding such power exceeded the count of his fingers.

Moreover, most of these individuals were somehow connected to Kimimaro.

Was he mass-producing them?

“What exactly is Kimimaro up to?” Nagato wondered silently.

Although the abilities of these opponents seemed significant, none of them posed a threat to Nagato.

What truly concerned him was the missing white-haired boy.

“Just in case, I’d better gather the remaining power of the Nine-Tails first.”

Nagato’s gaze shifted to where Tsunade and Jiraiya were tending to Naruto, with Jiraiya standing guard nearby.

Jiraiya, who had been vigilant all along, immediately noticed the look in Nagato’s eyes.

Their gazes locked, and Jiraiya understood Nagato’s intent.

Instantly, he assumed a defensive stance, his meaning clear:

“Nagato, if you want Naruto, you’ll have to go through me.”

Nagato, now on the brink of achieving his goals, had no concern for Jiraiya’s survival.

“I’m sorry, Jiraiya-sensei.”

With a light step, Nagato propelled himself toward Jiraiya at incredible speed.

“Not good! His target is Naruto!” Tobirama growled.

Hashirama and the others immediately surged forward, but their speed was no match for Nagato’s.

The only one capable of intercepting him was Tobirama, who had marked the area with Flying Thunder God seals under Minato’s guidance.

In a flash of blue light, Tobirama appeared, blade in hand, slashing toward Nagato.

“Flying Thunder God Slash!”

The speed of the attack was unparalleled, capable of instantly defeating most Kage-level opponents.

But Nagato was no ordinary Kage; he was akin to a god.

Clang!

Nagato caught Tobirama’s strike bare-handed, his cold eyes locking onto the Second Hokage.

“You’re a nuisance.”

With a casual wave of his hand, a Shinra Tensei was unleashed, shattering half of Tobirama’s body and rendering him defenseless.

Tobirama’s eyes widened in disbelief at Nagato’s overwhelming power.

The next instant, Nagato stood before Jiraiya.

“Jiraiya-sensei, will you still stand in my way?”

“As long as I’m alive, I will!” Jiraiya replied firmly.

“Don’t you want to witness the peace I’ve created?”

Nagato countered.

“The cost of your so-called peace is too high; it’s not worth it.”

“Jiraiya-sensei, you’re as naive as ever. Do you truly believe mutual understanding among people will ever arrive? Peace isn’t achieved through empty words. Without strength, how do you intend to obtain it?

If peace could be achieved without power, what purpose do shinobi serve? If you truly believe strength is meaningless, then I will erase all shinobi from existence, starting with you!”

Nagato raised his hand, a Truth-Seeking Orb forming in his palm like a Rasengan, and hurled it at Jiraiya with terrifying speed and force.

“Farewell, Jiraiya-sensei!”

But before the Truth-Seeking Orb could reach its target, it was stopped.

A golden figure had appeared, catching the orb with one hand.

In his grasp, the Truth-Seeking Orb was rendered inert.

“What do you think you’re doing to Jiraiya-sensei, Nagato?”

“Uzumaki Naruto!”

Nagato’s expression shifted slightly as he observed Naruto standing before him.

Having been stripped of the Nine-Tails, Naruto should have been dead. Yet here he was, alive and brimming with an astonishing surge of power—enough to catch his Truth-Seeking Orb bare-handed.

“Naruto!”

Jiraiya’s face lit up with joy.

“Jiraiya-sensei, leave the rest to me. I feel like I can change everything now,” Naruto said, his voice calm yet resolute.

Something about Naruto had undeniably changed, a fact Jiraiya, even in Sage Mode, could sense.

Though unsure of the details, Jiraiya understood that the battle was now beyond his interference.

“Be careful, Naruto.”

With those words, Jiraiya withdrew.

“There’s something strange about you,” Nagato murmured, his eyes scrutinizing Naruto.

“I feel it too,” Naruto replied softly. “Right now, I don’t think you can defeat me.”

“Arrogant words. Let’s see what you’re capable of!”

The battle was on the verge of eruption.

Meanwhile, in a secluded cave, Kimimaro had entered a profound state of transformation.

The tiger seal on his body was fusing the chakra of the nine tailed beasts.

Kimimaro sat cross-legged, a black sphere forming behind him.

One after another, six spheres soon emerged, and the process showed no signs of stopping.

As the transformation continued, Kimimaro suddenly found himself in a mysterious realm.

“Where is this place?”

Looking around, he saw nothing but emptiness, except for an elderly figure seated in the void.

“Young one, you’ve arrived.”

Kimimaro immediately recognized the figure.

“The Sage of Six Paths?”

*Chapter 324: No Gain Without Effort*

“Heh, young man, you have quite the discerning eye,” said the Sage of Six Paths, letting out a soft chuckle as he gazed at Kimimaro.

“I didn’t expect you to show up here,” Kimimaro remarked, his expression one of surprise.

“I indeed should not be here. To the world, I am already dead. And in truth, I am. What you see now is merely a fragment of chakra I left behind in this world,” the Sage explained calmly.

Kimimaro’s Tenseigan glimmered as if trying to pierce through the Sage’s essence.

In mere moments, he understood.

The figure before him was indeed nothing more than a wisp of chakra, insufficient even to launch a proper attack.

Techniques preserving one's consciousness or image through chakra were not unheard of in the ninja world. Minato had similarly left portions of his and Kushina’s chakra within Naruto. Naturally, the Sage of Six Paths was far more adept at such techniques.

It seemed the Sage had reserved most of his chakra for Naruto and Sasuke, leaving only this faint image for Kimimaro.

“Tenseigan? Such nostalgic eyes,” the Sage mused as he observed Kimimaro’s glowing eyes, his expression tinged with reminiscence.

“Are you reminded of Hamura, perhaps?” Kimimaro asked with a faint smile.

“So, you do know of Hamura. It seems you’re aware of far more than I anticipated. I am curious—how did you come to learn such things?”

“Just a bit of luck, stumbling across some intriguing information,” Kimimaro replied evasively, avoiding a direct answer.

The Sage, understanding his reluctance, chose not to press further. Even if he wished to, he lacked the means in his current state.

Moreover, with Kaguya’s return imminent, creating unnecessary conflict was far from ideal.

“Heh, fortunate indeed. Since you’ve obtained Hamura’s power, you must also know about Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, correct?” the Sage asked.

Kimimaro nodded slightly and replied, “Not only do I know, but when I awakened my Tenseigan on the moon, Kaguya’s mental energy drew me into her sealed dimension.”

“So it’s as I thought. Have you made some kind of pact with her?”

The Sage’s brow furrowed slightly, a trace of unease flickering across his face.

“Something like that. But judging by your expression, it seems you’re not too keen on her breaking free. Isn’t she your mother?” Kimimaro asked, feigning curiosity.

“It seems you’re unaware of the enmity between my mother and us. What exactly did she tell you?”

Kimimaro recounted Kaguya’s version of events in detail, exposing her falsehoods.

Hearing this, the Sage was momentarily stunned. Then, he sighed bitterly and said, “It appears that in the endless years of her imprisonment, my mother has even learned to lie.”

“So, the truth is not as she described,” Kimimaro interjected.

The Sage shook his head. “If my mother truly cared about saving humanity, neither Hamura nor I would have committed such a grievous act against her. At the time, we had no choice.”

The Sage then recounted the events of the past, which matched much of what Kimimaro already knew.

“Infinite Tsukuyomi is a technique that spells the end of the world. Once activated, everyone in the ninja world will become nourishment for the Divine Tree. My mother’s soul would then resurrect in the body of one consumed by the tree.

As my life drew to an end, I foresaw this day. Thus, I left behind a portion of my chakra in preparation for the current crisis. I also placed my hopes in the reincarnations of my two sons.

However, I never expected such an extraordinary individual to arise among Hamura’s descendants.

And so, I have come here, splitting off part of my chakra to enter your mental realm, to see what kind of person you are.

Despite the minimal fragments of the Nine Tails’ chakra in your possession, you’ve managed to consolidate them into a Ten Tails prototype, achieving a level of power equivalent to mine during my peak.

To be frank, if I were in your position, I might not have achieved the same.

With your immense strength as a foundation, you surpassed me the moment you became a Ten Tails Jinchūriki. Therefore, even you alone have the potential to seal my mother again.

Thus, I’ve come to tell you the truth, hoping you will make the right choice. If my mother returns to the ninja world, a new calamity will undoubtedly follow,” the Sage warned gravely.

“Your family is quite the mess,” Kimimaro remarked, deliberately avoiding the Sage’s plea and instead delivering a blunt critique.

The Sage was momentarily taken aback. Of all the responses he had anticipated, this was not one of them.

“Predecessor, I do have a question for you,” Kimimaro said, breaking the brief silence.

“Speak freely,” the Sage replied.

“You’ve sealed Kaguya for all these years. Have you ever considered releasing her?”

The Sage shook his head.

“My mother lacks the concept of good and evil in her heart. Humanity, to her, is but ants. If she were released, the world would again be plunged into suffering.

Hamura and I were mortal beings with limited lifespans. What we could do was limited.

This method is indeed unfair to my mother, but for the sake of countless lives, we had no choice but to betray her,” the Sage admitted, his tone tinged with sadness.

Had there been an alternative, they would not have chosen to seal Kaguya.

Hamura, overwhelmed with guilt, chose to remain on the moon to keep her company.

Unfortunately, this did not change Kaguya’s heart.

Over the years, hatred had consumed her entirely.

Her immediate attack on Naruto and Sasuke upon resurrection was proof of this.

Kimimaro fell silent, uncertain of how to respond.

“Young man, I only wish to warn you: though my mother may offer you benefits, she will not hesitate to betray you when it suits her. Consider your choices carefully. Even if you choose not to help, I hope you will remain a bystander and not interfere.

I believe that Naruto and Sasuke, having acquired the Six Paths' power, are capable of dealing with her.”

Kimimaro didn’t doubt this. Naruto and Sasuke were destined saviors, after all.

“While Naruto is fine, Sasuke sees me as an enemy. If he gains significant power, he’ll likely use it against me,” Kimimaro said with a smirk.

The Sage, aware of the animosity between Kimimaro and Sasuke, nodded.

“Sasuke alone might have been a match for you before you became the Ten Tails’ Jinchūriki, but now, he cannot rival you. I doubt you fear him,” the Sage stated.

“That’s debatable. After all, you granted him power to confront Kaguya, which suggests he’s on her level, no?” Kimimaro countered.

The Sage caught Kimimaro’s implication.

“Young man, tell me—what do you want?”

It was clear to the Sage that Kimimaro was after some form of benefit.

“Since you’ve asked so plainly, I won’t be shy. I’ve only recently gained the Six Paths' power and don’t know how to wield it fully. Could you teach me everything?” Kimimaro asked with a sly grin.

“You’ve got quite the appetite. But mastering the Six Paths’ techniques is only a matter of time for you. Since you wish it, I shall grant it.”

With that, the Sage of Six Paths sent his staff flying toward Kimimaro, transforming it into a streak of black light that flowed into his consciousness.

In the next moment, Kimimaro felt an overwhelming flood of information pouring into his mind.

---

This includes all the Sage of Six Paths' techniques, even the Six Paths: Planetary Devastation.

As the founder of the ninja world, the sheer number of techniques the Sage of Six Paths mastered is truly astonishing.

No wonder he’s regarded as the powerful pioneer who created the ninja system.

In his later years, the Sage of Six Paths completely surpassed Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.

Kimimaro quickly absorbed this information, but mastering it fully would still take some time.

"The Six Paths Techniques are indeed miraculous. Since you're so generous, senior, I’ll lend a hand with the Kaguya situation. After all, if she gains control of this world, it would be a problem for me too."

Hearing Kimimaro agree, the Sage of Six Paths finally felt relieved.

"Then I leave it to you."

"No problem."

Even after passing away, the Sage of Six Paths is still worrying about the future of the ninja world. It's truly no easy task.

Meanwhile, as Kimimaro completed his final transformation, Naruto was already locked in a fierce battle with Six Paths Nagato.

Empowered by the Six Paths' strength, Naruto's abilities surged dramatically, achieving a qualitative leap.

Previously, he had no chance of resisting Six Paths Nagato with raw force, but now they were evenly matched.

"How did he get this strong? What did he do?"

Nagato grew more alarmed as the fight went on, unable to comprehend Naruto's sudden transformation.

Though he wasn’t yet defeated by Naruto, the overwhelming advantage he once held had vanished.

Around Naruto, Truth-Seeking Balls began to form—power of the same caliber as Nagato's own.

To test the strength of Naruto's Truth-Seeking Balls, Nagato launched one of his own at them, resulting in an even collision.

"Unbelievable. How did Naruto become this strong all of a sudden? Could it be because the half of Kurama inside Minato got powered up?"

Jiraiya was stunned.

"No, it’s not Kurama."

Standing beside Jiraiya, Minato replied softly.

"Then what is it?"

Jiraiya asked, curious.

"I can’t say for sure. When Lady Tsunade and I revived Naruto, the chakra within him underwent an enormous change—both in quantity and quality, it soared. It felt like the moment Nagato acquired the chakra of the Nine Tailed Beasts combined."

Minato explained.

"Really? That’s strange. It looks like Naruto’s the only one who knows what’s going on."

Jiraiya remarked in surprise.

"There’s another kid over there who’s also grown immensely strong."

Tobirama had somehow appeared beside them.

His gaze, however, was fixed on Sasuke.

Sasuke had just woken up, and his aura had transformed drastically.

The biggest change was in his left eye—a Rinnegan with six tomoe.

The immense ocular power it radiated even surpassed Nagato’s Rinnegan.

"Sasuke? Him too…?"

Jiraiya was even more astonished.

"Perhaps there are forces in this world we still don’t understand."

Tobirama murmured.

Sasuke, now fully awake, radiated renewed confidence.

He looked at Kabuto and Karin, who had been treating him, and asked, "Where’s Kimimaro?"

"Lord Kimimaro left on urgent business but should be back soon," Kabuto replied with a smile.

"Hmph, I hope he didn’t run off, scared of Nagato's power."

Sasuke sneered.

"Don’t you dare insult Lord Kimimaro like that! He’s not the type to run away. He just has other plans, and I’m sure he’ll be back soon!"

Furious at Sasuke’s mockery of Kimimaro, Karin snapped back.

Sasuke’s gaze swept over Karin, sending chills down her spine.

Still, she didn’t back down and glared back at him, defiant.

"Hmph."

Sasuke scoffed and didn’t bother arguing further. Instead, he turned his focus to Nagato and Naruto.

"Kimimaro better show up soon, or I’ll have to waste my time looking for him. For now, I’ll let him live a little longer."

With a light step, Sasuke leapt towards the battlefield.

"That guy’s such a traitorous snake. Back in the Sound Village, Lord Kimimaro helped him countless times, and now he wants to kill him? It’s outrageous!

Lord Kimimaro is way too soft. He should’ve killed Sasuke long ago!"

Karin fumed.

Kabuto chuckled and said, "Lord Kimimaro must have his reasons. If he wanted Sasuke dead, he wouldn’t be alive right now."

"Then what could Lord Kimimaro be planning? Sasuke doesn’t seem all that valuable to me," Karin asked, confused.

"Lord Kimimaro and Lord Orochimaru’s intentions are still beyond me. But we’ll find out soon enough."

Kabuto adjusted his glasses, the lenses catching a glint of light.

Karin let it drop and said no more.

Sasuke joined the battle, standing next to Naruto.

"Sasuke, you’re here," Naruto greeted him with a big grin.

"Naruto, looks like we’re in the same boat. Let’s team up to deal with this guy first. After that, we’ll settle things between us."

Sasuke replied in a low voice.

"Sounds good! With you here, we’ll have a much better chance of taking him down."

Naruto said cheerfully.

Sasuke gave a slight nod, and the two of them turned their attention to Nagato.

Naruto activated Six Paths Sage Mode, his body radiating golden chakra, with nine Truth-Seeking Balls circling around him.

Meanwhile, Sasuke unleashed his immense ocular power, locking his eyes on Nagato.

"Their presence… What happened to these two? How did they both suddenly become so powerful?"

Nagato couldn’t shake the ominous feeling growing within him.

He had worked tirelessly to gain his strength, but these two had somehow caught up to him without doing anything at all.

It didn’t make sense.

(End of chapter.)

*Chapter 325: The End of Black Zetsu*

Naruto and Sasuke's sudden surge in power left Nagato under immense pressure.

The two youths, whom he had always dismissed as insignificant, now unleashed an overwhelming force.

Had he known this earlier, he would have killed Sasuke the moment he joined the Akatsuki.

Compared to the missing Kimimaro, these two were now his true adversaries.

Nagato glanced sideways at the Divine Tree, which was growing rapidly.

"Just a little more," he murmured.

From the immense aura radiating from the two, Nagato realized he might not stand a chance against them in his current state.

But if he could devour the Divine Tree and achieve the form described in the Stone Tablet, his power would soar to an unprecedented level.

Then, he would have the strength to crush these suddenly overpowered youths.

Determined, Nagato decided to stall for time.

Naruto, wielding a black staff formed by Truth-Seeking Balls, pointed it at Nagato.

"Nagato, you and I are both disciples of Master Jiraiya. Today, I will cleanse his legacy!"

Naruto's eyes snapped open, revealing his cross-patterned pupils.

"Hmph! Mere mortals dare challenge me? Fools who don’t know their limits. Even if you've gained this strange power, borrowed strength never lasts. Let’s see how long you can keep this up," Nagato sneered.

"This line should be directed at you, Nagato. Are those eyes truly yours?"

It wasn’t Naruto who spoke but Sasuke.

His mocking tone cut deep as he exposed the truth behind Nagato's Rinnegan.

"These eyes have been with me for decades. Do you think they're not mine? Enough talk. Today, I’ll show you their true power!"

Now empowered by the Ten-Tails, Nagato’s Rinnegan had awakened new abilities, including the powerful Limbo technique.

With this, he aimed to stall his enemies and find an opportunity to devour the Divine Tree.

While this intense battle unfolded, Kimimaro had just concluded his meeting with the Sage of Six Paths.

At the same time, the Ten-Tails' power had successfully fused within him.

In his mental space, a small Ten-Tails sat obediently, encaged by bone-like bars.

As Kimimaro approached, the Ten-Tails opened its curious eyes, looking up at him.

This miniature Ten-Tails had been born from the Tiger Cursed Seal, combining the powers of the nine-tailed beasts.

Its essence was the Tiger Seal, now transformed into the Ten-Tails with all its might.

"So, this is the Ten-Tails within me? It looks too much like the original. Let’s give it a new appearance."

As its creator, Kimimaro naturally had the authority to reshape it.

With a mere thought, the small Ten-Tails began to transform.

Moments later, it morphed into a fox-like creature with silky fur and ten smooth tails.

"Much better," Kimimaro remarked.

Now, the little Ten-Tails looked like a white fox, strikingly similar to the Pokémon Ninetales, but with ten tails instead of nine.

"From now on, I'll call you Little Ten."

As if understanding him, the fox nodded slightly.

With a wave of his hand, Kimimaro expanded the bone cage surrounding Little Ten. The structure transformed into four towering bone pillars placed at the cardinal points of his mental space.

"This will be your domain for now. Once things settle down, I’ll give you better arrangements."

Delighted by its newfound freedom, Little Ten let out a fox-like cry of joy.

Having concluded their first meeting, Kimimaro exited his mental space.

Unlike other jinchūriki who struggled to coexist with their tailed beasts, Kimimaro's situation was unique. As both the creator and a formidable force, he shared a bond with Little Ten akin to that of a master and a pet.

He had no concerns about betrayal.

This was the advantage of nurturing over mere adoption.

Back in reality, Kimimaro noticed how drastically his body had changed.

"So this is the power of the Ten-Tails. It's truly extraordinary. Such vitality!"

Clenching his fists, he felt his strength multiply several times over. The immense vitality coursing through him had completely eradicated the remnants of his Kekkei Genkai disease.

Kimimaro took a deep breath, feeling utterly refreshed and free of any discomfort.

"This power... it’s intoxicating."

The surge of life energy signified that Kimimaro had transcended his mortal shell.

As long as no one killed him, he could achieve immortality, akin to Kaguya Ōtsutsuki.

"I never imagined the Ten-Tails' power, derived from the Tiger Seal, would be this potent. It surpasses all my expectations."

Extending his senses, Kimimaro instantly detected the ongoing battle in the distance.

"It seems Naruto and Sasuke have powered up and are fighting Nagato. Nagato is holding his own against their combined assault... Wait, is that Limbo? So Nagato has awakened this ocular technique as well.

No surprise. His Rinnegan originally belonged to Madara. Previously, he lacked the chakra to utilize such techniques. But as the Ten-Tails’ jinchūriki, he now has sufficient power.

Given the current situation, it’s unlikely Madara will ever succeed. The era of Six Paths Madara won’t come to pass."

Kimimaro quickly assessed the scenario.

He also sensed the presence of the Espada, but Kisame’s chakra was notably absent.

"Has Kisame fallen?"

Kimimaro frowned slightly, surprised by Kisame’s fate.

Among the Espada, only one had perished, and it happened to be him.

"What a waste of a Kotoamatsukami charge."

Shaking his head, Kimimaro felt that for a ninja like Kisame, death in battle was perhaps the best ending.

"I wonder how my current power compares to Kaguya's?"

This thought sparked curiosity within Kimimaro.

The answer to this question would soon reveal itself.

"Wait..."

Kimimaro suddenly sensed Black Zetsu’s chakra.

The creature was lurking on the battlefield, waiting for the opportune moment.

"This guy must be thrilled right now. He’s just one step away from success. If he fails now, it’ll drive him mad, won’t it?"

Kimimaro chuckled, finding Black Zetsu’s situation somewhat pitiful.

Created by Kaguya to ensure her return, Black Zetsu had spent over a millennium with just one mission.

Unfortunately, due to the rushed nature of its creation, it lacked the aptitude for cultivation—perhaps even the ability to cultivate.

Otherwise, after living for over a thousand years, even a pig could reach Six Paths-level strength.

At that point, Black Zetsu could have single-handedly dominated the ninja world, gathered the nine-tailed beasts, and resurrected Kaguya effortlessly.

Instead, it had to proceed cautiously, every step a precarious gamble.

Over the centuries, Madara wasn’t the first pawn Black Zetsu had manipulated, but he was the only one on the brink of success.

Yet even Madara only neared success at the end of his life, forcing him to entrust the plan to Obito.

Black Zetsu must have been deeply anxious during that time, but it endured, going back into hiding for another decade and a half until now, finally nearing victory.

Kimimaro shook his head, finding Black Zetsu's perseverance admirable.

With a thought, Kimimaro activated the Flying Thunder God Technique and appeared on the battlefield.

Specifically, he materialized right beside Black Zetsu.

Startled by Kimimaro's sudden appearance, Black Zetsu was briefly alarmed before breaking into a grin of delight.

"Kimimaro-sama! You’ve finally returned! Look, Nagato has already gathered the nine-tailed beasts’ power and become the true Ten-Tails jinchūriki. All that’s left is for him to absorb the Divine Tree, and we can initiate the Infinite Tsukuyomi to bring back Mother!"

Black Zetsu’s excitement was palpable.

"Yes, we’re so close. Your long efforts are about to pay off," Kimimaro replied with a smile.

"Everything has been worth it. And it’s all thanks to your assistance, Kimimaro-sama. However, there is one issue..."

Black Zetsu's expression suddenly turned cautious.

“What’s the issue?”

Kimimaro asked knowingly.

“Naruto and Sasuke, for some reason, have suddenly gained the power of the Six Paths. I suspect that rebellious son, the Sage of Six Paths, left behind a contingency plan—most likely aimed at Mother.”

“Back then, he and Hamura used the Six Paths Chibaku Tensei to seal Mother away. I suspect he wants to try the same trick again. We cannot let him succeed,” Black Zetsu growled.

“The Six Paths Chibaku Tensei?”

“Yes, it’s an extremely powerful sealing jutsu, even Mother couldn’t withstand it. However, the jutsu requires the simultaneous convergence of the Six Paths’ Yin and Yang powers. If we kill either Naruto or Sasuke, the Sage’s plan will fall apart.”

“But now, both of them are incredibly powerful. I’m afraid even you might not be able to handle them. So, our priority for now should be to resurrect Mother. Once she is revived, with her power, she’ll easily deal with those two. Even if they wield the power left behind by Hagoromo, they’re no match for Mother,” Black Zetsu analyzed coldly.

“You’ve really thought this through.”

Kimimaro chuckled.

“After scheming for a thousand years, this is nothing. Lord Kimimaro, once Mother is resurrected, what do you plan to do?” Black Zetsu asked excitedly.

“What do I plan to do? Perhaps… take her power for myself.”

“What?!”

Black Zetsu froze in disbelief, staring at Kimimaro.

The next moment, a golden claw pierced through Black Zetsu’s chest.

*Scattering Soul Iron Claw!*

“You!”

Black Zetsu felt his life force draining as he stared at Kimimaro, who was smiling innocently even as he crushed Black Zetsu’s heart.

“Why are you doing this?” Black Zetsu demanded, bewildered.

Wasn’t Kimimaro already aligned with Kaguya?

How could he suddenly turn on him?

“Sorry, but I’ve been sick of you for a while. The only reason I tolerated you until now was that you were still useful. But now, you’ve outlived your usefulness. So, I’m sending you off personally.”

“What’s in it for you? Why betray Mother?” Black Zetsu snarled.

“Everything Kaguya told me was a lie—I realized that long ago. I also know that if she is resurrected, the shinobi world will be destroyed.

I don’t want to play the hero who saves the world, but I also don’t want to go down with it. There are people in this world that I care about. For their sake, I’ll make a little effort. Besides, now that I’ve gained the power of immortality, I’m not done having my fun. This world can’t end just yet,” Kimimaro said, smirking.

“You deceived Mother!”

Black Zetsu was in utter disbelief at how much Kimimaro knew. He realized he had made a grave mistake trusting him.

He had no choice but to trust Kimimaro after he used Kaguya’s unique ocular jutsu—but in the end, it was all a ruse.

“Mother, you… you must return,” Black Zetsu thought regretfully.

Even with his resilient life force, having his heart pierced was too much for Black Zetsu. As he struggled, Nagato, who had been battling Naruto and Sasuke, finally found an opportunity to reach the God Tree.

*Devour!*

Nagato embraced the God Tree, unleashing an overwhelming devouring force. The massive tree was directly absorbed into his Rinnegan!

The resulting shockwave blew Naruto and Sasuke away.

“What’s going on? What’s he doing?” Naruto exclaimed.

“His power is increasing,” Sasuke muttered, his Rinnegan narrowing in alarm.

“It can still grow? Does this mean the Rabbit Goddess Grandpa Sage warned us about is coming?” Naruto asked.

“Quite possibly.”

“Then we’re in big trouble. Looks like we’re too late,” Naruto said anxiously.

Witnessing this, Black Zetsu laughed maniacally.

“Hahaha! Nagato has devoured the God Tree. Mother’s resurrection is now unstoppable! Kimimaro, you just wait—Mother will avenge me!”

“I never intended to stop Kaguya’s resurrection. So, you don’t need to worry about that. Whatever you wanted to do, I’ll handle it for you,” Kimimaro said with a faint smile.

Black Zetsu was dumbfounded, unable to comprehend Kimimaro’s actions.

“What are you really after?” he asked.

“Once you become invincible, you start wanting to do reckless things. I feel like a villain right now, don’t I?” Kimimaro said, pulling back his claw.

As the claw retracted, the last of Black Zetsu’s life force dissipated.

Black Zetsu fell, filled with confusion and regret.

Before losing consciousness, he thought, *This white-haired boy is a madman.*

“Mother… you must be careful,” he thought as he faded away, marking the end of the shinobi world’s millennium-long manipulator.
