Chapter 2: EX-Rank Ability: [Fishing] (Please favorite and recommend)

[Talent Slot], [Ability Slot], and [Information Slot].

These three are the true core of the golden cheat panel.

In short, Troy can acquire different "slots," which grant him corresponding attribute boosts, ultimately increasing his overall personal strength.

A clear upgrade path!

Troy's personal stats were terrible, almost all F-rank, and his overall combat power was estimated to be under 5.

And his personal slots looked very sparse.

But that’s not the whole story.

Over the past three days, Troy managed to survive in the "Sea Emperor Battle Zone," where danger lurks at every turn. The reason? His slots!

[Crosser from the Other Side] is Troy’s only talent slot, a special ability he gained upon crossing over to this world.

As the name suggests, it’s essentially a "traveler’s aura," and its effects are incredibly powerful!

[EX-Rank Slot: Crosser from the Other Side] (Red Talent)

[Effect: Luck attribute receives a permanent two-tier boost! Maximum luck cap: EX!]

[Slot Evaluation: Sorry, travelers are just that lucky!]

Even though Troy’s current situation doesn’t look great, it was much worse when he first arrived.

Compared to other travelers who ventured into the sea, Troy’s starting luck was particularly bad.

Some travelers arrived on secret islands, allowing them a safe environment to develop early on. Others were granted a naval identity in the East Sea, which let them level up steadily.

The luckiest travelers even started with a Holy Land Mary Geoise citizenship—

(And no, that’s not the slave kind.)

But poor little Troy...

He only remembers it being windy, the waves were huge, and the sea was unbearably salty—way saltier than his tears.

Damn it! Being tossed straight into the Grand Line right at the start?

A safe spot to stand on would’ve been nice! Why throw him into the sea?!

If not for the luck boost from [Crosser from the Other Side], Troy reckoned he’d have been dead on arrival.

Though his start was rough, Troy, with his skyrocketing luck, managed to make it to shore alive and piece together his former identity.

Troy Felte, age 16.

In the year 1491 of the Sea Calendar, born as a prince in a small kingdom in the first half of the Grand Line.

Due to unknown reasons, his family was attacked by pirates during a sea voyage. He witnessed the death of his family members under pirate fire. To avoid becoming a slave, his servants threw him into the sea, where he drifted for days before losing consciousness...

A traveler, orphaned prince—textbook protagonist material!

That’s what Troy thought too.

Until he landed straight in the middle of a battlefield between Kaido and another top-tier sea fighter...

With the lucky aura of [Crosser from the Other Side], Troy’s luck wasn’t supposed to be that bad.

If things had gone normally, he would have encountered a group of "good guys" shortly after landing—navy soldiers who arrived on the island at about the same time.

But Troy had made the fateful decision to use his one "beginner’s lottery" right before landing.

With luck still on his side, he hit the jackpot, pulling a ridiculously strong EX ability—

[EX-Rank Ability: Fishing] (Red Skill)

[Description: Using Sea Kings or other items as bait, you can fish from the Dimensional Sea for corresponding talent, ability, or information slots, or other items.

The things fished out are not limited to the current world; they may change based on the surrounding sea environment or island conditions.]

[Effect: Small sea creatures under 5 meters may yield F-rank or lower talent, ability, or information slots or items; sea creatures between 5 and 20 meters may yield E-rank; 20 to 50-meter creatures may yield D-rank; 50 to 500 meters may yield C-rank; 500 to 5,000 meters may yield B-rank; sea creatures over 5,000 meters or intelligent Sea Kings may yield A-rank; and Sea Kings can yield EX-rank talent, ability, information slots, or items.

Additionally, defeating opponents with different ranking evaluations can yield corresponding quality "Victory Bait," allowing you to fish for talents, abilities, or items of the same rank. The fishing outcome is related to the opponent’s abilities.

Lastly, any category of Devil Fruit can directly yield EX-level talent, abilities, or items, with fishing results related to the Devil Fruit’s power.]

[Evaluation: The sea is vast and endless, and fishing is the only way to survive.]

The description is long, but in short, the [Fishing] ability allows Troy to use "Sea Kings," "defeated enemies," and "Devil Fruits" as bait to fish for limitless Dimensional Sea slots and mysterious items!

For example, the [Beast Breathing] ability from the "Demon Slayer" world, which enhances physical abilities, was fished using this skill!

Though it’s F-rank, [Beast Breathing] contains the full "Total Concentration Breathing" and all eleven sword forms, and its power can be upgraded with training!

Back to the [Fishing] ability.

[Fishing] is incredibly strong, maybe even overpowered. Although it’s an EX-rank skill, with enough bait, it can yield countless EX-rank skills!

Probably because of this, Troy’s personal luck began to nosedive after landing. He missed his chance to meet up with the navy and ended up living under Kaido’s terrifying shadow.

Of course...

Troy doesn’t know this yet.

He still doesn’t realize who Kaido’s opponent in the sky is. He just thinks it’s some pirate the original story didn’t cover.

Before crossing over, having finished the Wano arc, Troy actually felt some sympathy for Kaido...

But when he finally met Kaido in person, that sympathy vanished!

Forced to endure three days of relentless battle shockwaves—that was still tolerable. What he really hated was the helplessness of not being able to control his fate!

Absolutely hated it!

If given the chance, Troy would definitely return this "favor" someday!

For now, though...

He’s more focused on using his "Victory Bait" to fish for something better.

In these three days, while dodging the battlefield’s shockwaves, Troy managed to kill some zombies.

Each F-rank zombie provided Troy with an F-rank "Victory Bait."

Currently, he has nine pieces of "Victory Bait" in stock!

Nine fishing attempts!

"Today’s luck seems—"

Recalling his series of misfortunes, Troy winced at the memory of his two destroyed shelters.

"Okay, maybe it’s been pretty bad."

"But!"

Holding an F-rank "Victory Bait," his eyes shone with determination.

"Isn’t there a saying, 'When things hit rock bottom, they can only get better'?"

His first [Fishing] attempt landed him the useful [Beast Breathing].

With confidence in his fishing luck, Troy has saved up these nine pieces of "Victory Bait" for this moment!

He loves going big!

And most importantly, [Fishing] is his only way out of his current situation!

"Let’s give it a shot..."

Troy whispered as he tossed the "Victory Bait."

Using his fingers as the rod and his thoughts as the line, invisible ripples spread through the air as the fishing rod extended into the Dimensional Sea.

Holding his breath, Troy watched the line and hook as it successfully snagged something from the Dimensional Sea.

With a flick of his wrist, the panel displayed today’s first "catch"—

[Item Type: Object]

[Low-Grade Object: Tanjiro Kamado’s Rice Ball]

[Source: "Demon Slayer"]

[Description: A large, soft, warm rice ball made by Tanjiro Kamado.]

[Effect: Satisfies hunger.]

[Evaluation: It’s just a normal rice ball—what did you expect?]

"…?"

Troy blinked, his once-bright eyes now blank.

A skill like [Beast Breathing]...

And now a basic [Rice Ball]...

Isn’t the gap between these two... a bit too big?

"No way... This can’t be right... Today’s luck is bad, but... maybe... maybe this is just... setting up for something big?"

Troy wiggled his fingers, opened the panel, and saw that he still had eight pieces of bait left after using one.

[Fishing] has a hidden mechanic where low-quality bait can be fused into higher-quality bait.

Troy’s eight F-rank "Victory Bait" could be combined into one E-rank "Victory Bait."

After a moment’s hesitation, Troy gulped down some wine, his eyes turning slightly red—like a gambler on the edge.

Real fishermen don’t cry.

"Let’s do this! High stakes, high rewards!"

With his mind made up, Troy fused the eight F-rank "Victory Bait" into one E-rank bait and cast it immediately.

Using his fingers as the rod, thoughts as the line—the fish took the bait!

"Lady Luck, be with me—"

[Item Type: Object]

[E-Rank Object: Nezuko Kamado’s Bamboo Muzzle]

[Source: "Demon Slayer"]

[Description: The bamboo muzzle worn by the demonized Nezuko Kamado, filled with her sweet saliva.]

Item Effects:

1. When worn on the mouth, this bamboo tube is part of a very low-quality cosplay costume.

2. The saliva inside the bamboo tube, tainted by the power of a demonized girl, has mild healing abilities. It provides additional healing effects for certain races, especially the Demon Race.

3. Quenches thirst.

Item Evaluation: "This taste... it’s the taste of a pervert!"
