My Thanks ... and a Free CAS Tutorial!

Today is a major holiday in the United States, that of Thanksgiving. This holiday is one of my personal favorites because it’s dedicated to something very pure and important. Going through life with an attitude of gratitude makes life better. The world is going through a challenging period right now; even so, there are a great number of things for which we can be thankful.

High on my personal list is the fact that, in rope, we have found a way to connect with each other that is so deeply personal. I am grateful that there are people like me out there. When I was young, the word 'shibari' was almost unknown outside a small number of very hidden communities. It was easy for people who loved bondage to think there was something wrong with them. Thankfully, that has changed. It is becoming more and more accepted and its practitioners along with it. We now see rope in mainstream media and music videos from time to time, used in an unironic and positive way. That is wonderful to see.

You. Thank you for being part of our community. Thank you for sharing your ideas, passions and visions. Thank you for your support as we at TheDuchy work to document some small portions of what our community has created and help others get started so much more quickly and safely than did those before them. Thank you for your part in the journey all of us are taking. That something to be proud of.
