We need your help | TheDuchy

Hi All,

Since January, many people have been facing tough times.  This is no less true here at TheDuchy.  As financial uncertainty ripples through the country and the world—spurred mostly by erratic shifts in U.S. federal policy—we’ve seen a notable drop in subscriptions for the first time in over eight years.  People are quite understandably being more cautious with their spending, but the month-over-month losses have reduced our revenues to a point that it is directly impacting what we’re able to offer.  Fewer resources mean less time we can dedicate to producing new, high-quality content or improving existing material.

What was once a full-time labor of love is no longer sustaining itself.  

We had hoped that this was mostly an awareness problem.  We have great content and we know people find it valuable, so we hoped that increasing our marketing efforts and getting out into the community in person more would make more people aware of what we offer and help turn around the declining numbers.  But that has not worked out as hoped.

Therefore, we are going to do three things:

1. We are going to revert to what worked so well for us for so many years: Focusing our time on producing content on a more consistent schedule, and doing fewer small, in-person teaching events.  Until a few months ago, our goal was to release a new primary tutorial every 3 weeks and one BTS or CAS in the weeks between.  We are going to go back to that.  (We just released a new CAS last Friday and are working on a major update on attaching suspension uplines to be released in a few days!)

2. We are going to ask for your help.  If TheDuchy has helped you or someone you know, I’m asking you to consider continuing your support—and perhaps even help us grow.  Share the site with a friend who might be interested.  Every new subscriber helps.

3.
