Hi All,
Contents: 4 new tutorials, 5 new blog posts and more opportunities for in-person classes.
We have been insanely busy over the past few weeks. Not only did we have a very successful weekend teaching in NW Chicago, but we have been hammering out lots of new material to help people really master the fundamentals. Here is all the new stuff!
New Tutorials
- Put Rope around my neck! - Seriously!? Rope is already a risky activity. Putting rope around the neck even more so. Yet, some people do do it. The beginner's rule about neck rope is "Don't", but as people advance, if they want to explore neck rope, a more nuanced set of rules is needed. Check out this tutorial to learn them.
- The 4 Fundamental Knots - Why do I call them fundamental? We break down a scene to show how it all comes down to the 4 Fundamental Knots + running rope and handling it well as you do.
- Smoothly tying the Lark's Head - It looks one thing, but I'm doing 11 things! This is a simple knot, but with a few simple tricks, you can tie it smoothly and with confidence.
- Smoothly Tying a Half Hitch - Again, it look like I am doing one thing, but I'm actually doing 15 things! A few simple tricks will help you tie this knot smoothly and with speed.

Tech update:
Improved transparency: We added a new chip to the Tutorial, CAS and BTS pages that make it easier to see if something is not available to you. If you are not logged in, you will see those chips in the upper right corner of a tutorial saying that it requires the Introductory or Full membership to access.
We hope you are all having a great early summer, and—as always—thank you for your support!
