This simple but attractive chest harness is composed of a series of horizontal wraps that are later connected by vertical components running down the outside of the chest.

In this tutorial, I am experimenting with a suggestion made by our members on Discord. I’d like your feedback:

Background

When I mark a tutorial as “Easy” I do so because the content is not too difficult, but when I mark one as Easy, I also try to make no assumptions about what the reader may or may not know, so I go through the tie in heavy step-by-step detail, explaining the what and why of every step.

Quite understandably, having to go through all this detail can be annoying to experienced people who can look at the end product of a series of steps and understand exactly how all that was done.

My question to you:

Provide your comments below or on the tutorial itself. Thanks!

Comments

Concur with the above comments, having both is super useful at different times and in different circumstances.

I agree, having both options is awesome. Even if you have some practice, sometimes your mind goes blank and you don’t remember exactly how that particular knot goes. Especially when you have someone in front of you that you’re trying to tie.

oh! That's a great point. When coming back for a quick reminder, I can see the highlights being much easier

I like it! I could certainly see in some cases using both. I have definitely found the detail in your guides helpful in the past, even as I've become somewhat more experienced. I think the option of a short vs. long version would be very helpful also in terms of trying out new things. I like to go through a tutorial carefully the first time well before trying it so I feel somewhat confident of the steps. The short version would be handy when actually doing it the first time without having to scroll around as much (particularly when using a phone).
