Today's post features four very different ladies, Ellen Joe, Kisara Nanjo, Etna, and Ark Royal having a night out at the bar! Can't say having a drinking game is the a very responsible way to spend the night, but from the way they're talking, it seems like they're expecting something more to happen.

Total Drawing Time: Apprx 38 HRs 55 MINs

Not a day goes by that I don't question the time it takes for me to complete a drawing. Typically, I'm the most harsh on myself when it comes to sketching, since it's a sign that I'm still very much lacking when it comes to artististic skill and talent. After that, however, there's not too much I can do about the drawing time, particularly the line cleanup and laying of flat colors. Shading is a bit of a toss-up, since that's a case of me juggling between what's necessary and not, especially when it comes to pictures like this where the zoom is so far.

All this is to say I feel super guilty when it comes to the drawing time of my works when it comes to regular commissions. Part of it is because, unlike most of my works, the characters in this are all normal, so it makes me ponder if another artist(s) could've achieved the same result, but much more quickly. Fortunately, the remaining pages won't have the extra panels and I can copy/pasta the background. Whether that manages to cut out a bulk of the drawing time is anyone's guess but I'll try my best!

As for the characters in question, my favorite is Ellen Joe. She's a fan favorite for a reason and ever since her skin came out, I've had it on her for so long that I tend to forget that her thing is being a maid. Kisara, I've drawn a few times and as for Etna, Takehito Harada's artstyle is very unique, so I'll unfortunately never be able to mimic it without going out of my way to do so specifically. As for Ark Royal, I can only hope I did her Cafe Skin justice.

Anyway, I hope you've enjoyed this picture and the commentary! Big thanks to the commissioner, who went with my suggestion to include the close-up panels, which in turn extended the drawing time, but it was totally worth it!
