Although, if that is the case, I can imagine Simon offering his seed or blood, something to help bypass the curse. It would definitely earn him a loyal ally if that was the case.

2026-02-16 15:41:35 +0000 UTCI feel like the "other issue" related to Balzam is that he cursed the Queen to not have a daughter/not have a daughter with anyone but him (maybe even his bloodline). I could see him do that considering his personality and it would be a decent strategic move considering it would destabilize a country he aim to conquer. It would also add another reason for her not to talk about it with Simon, not that she really needs one considering he's still a prince of Endymion.

Or is there a plan here the agents wouldn't agree to? Also, I never put together the Master/Mother thing. I knew his mother's beaux was from lore. But the connection to the Paladin is wonderful. Oh! and makes a ton of sense in regards to Simon's access to becoming the paladin.

Honestly, I can see this Reign putting her and Verdis in the list of people Simon wish to protect/help. Because at the end of the day, Simon is a softie to the people who are kind/helpful to him. Also, I do hope Simon and Alphonse get to bond more in later reigns. While Alphonse is heavily biased, he can still be convinced and I can see Simon taking a liking to him when Alphonse stop having a stick in his ass.
