Poll Results, news and break notice

Hello everyone,

First of all, as warned a few weeks back, I'll now be on a break next week to attend an author meet-up with Selkie, RavensDagger, and a few other authors in Norway (this gathering has been a long time coming, and I hope we can at least attend one viking funeral by the end of it). Updates will thus resume on June 24th.

I also now confirm that Blood & Fur will conclude in July without a doubt. I am halfway through the next chapter already and hope to advance further during the break at my own pace, and I expect 3 or so chapters followed by a sizeable epilogue. It feels strange to see this two-years long journey (Blood & Fur is now officially my longest novel) near its end but I'm very satisfied with how it turned out.

The story poll for the story that will take its place here (https://www.patreon.com/posts/129824770 ) has now reached its conclusion, and after an early period of deadlock, The Paypocalypse is now the clear winner. I also ran a secret results ballot on Strawpoll to compare with public results (to see if knowing the tendencies influenced the outcome):

As you can see, while Paypocalypse is still in the lead, the difference is now significantly shorter when voters are offered the choice for an 'interested in neither story choices' option; which suggests many picked Paypocalypse by default rather than conviction. The lesson I'm taking from this is that I'll probably add a third option for story polls from now on, whether it's an 'interested in neither' or a third story option.

In any case, Paypocalypse being in the lead either way means it'll be my favored option for the new story (with Class Action probably being offered as a choice in a future poll after B&C concludes one day). I don't exclude offering an additional poll if a genius story idea comes to mind during the Norway trip, but I'll be outlining it soon.

However... while I am NDA-bound not to say more for now, there has been positive developments on The Perfect Run game side; and I will have to work part-time on it as a narrative designer starting from around late July/early August (on top of work on the webtoon). Development for the full game is now expected to last around two years so you'll see many updates about that on the Patreon in the coming months.

That means that Paypocalypse chapters will come out much slower than usual (that or I'll move Board & Conquest to two chapters a week on occasion and write Paypocalypse as the third) compared to earlier years as my ability to juggle between multiple novels will be limited. Early chapters will thus come sporadically in the first few months until I find a balance.

In any case, thank you all for participating in the polls, and I hope you'll enjoy both Blood & Fur's conclusion and the Paypocalypse that will follow ;)

Best regards,

Voidy.

I might be very late to the party, but the screenshot leads me to believe that you are french? Doesn't really matter, but I just didn't realize even though I've been a patron for a good bit. I'm surprised you are also under an NDA as the starter of the TPR game project, since instead of being supported by a Kickstart or w/e that this is mostly coming out of your own pocket. I did play a bit of the last demo release, so I'm looking forward to the full release. As for future stories, I'm pretty fine with whatever happens. I still need to catch up in B&F, so I'm happy with whatever wins.

Enjoy well earned break, and happy for your exciting news!
