Patreon Update: Poll Result, New Free PDF, Winter break, Perfect Run Game...

Greetings, dear patrons,

Now that the poll is closed, and since quite a few things happened in-between (between CE's conclusion, advancement on The Perfect Run game etc...) I thought I might as well run a full update. I've got some quite good news.

1) Poll Results: B&C in, Paypocalypse on hold for another day

First of all, the poll results. With 163 votes cast, Board & Conquest pulls up ahead of Paypocalypse with 82 votes against 81; so a difference of a single vote.

I admit I would it feels a bit strange to have such a narrow margin and I would rested more easily with a landslide for one side or another, but it is what it is. Until the day I can clone myself and increase my writing speed twofold, I can only focus on one of these stories at once (on top of Blood & Fur and Dungeon Wreckers, which will restart next week) and I'll thus start outlining Board & Conquest.   

However, considering it seemed a lot of you enjoyed Paypocalypse a lot, enough that this poll was so incredibly contested, I'll propose it again on a future story poll once any of the current projects are completed in 2025. Who knows, maybe it'll be picked then!

Otherwise, with Commerce Emperor and Gunsoul concluded, I've transformed the Commerce Hero and Gunsoul tiers into Dungeon Wrecker and B&C Champion ones that will serve the same purpose of granting access to all advanced chapters of DW and B&C respectively. While DW's publication will resume next week, I'll start building the backlog for B&C as soon as possible.

2) New free PDF and last call for B&F II's free ebook

With CE concluded, I've thus compiled both the third & final ebook of the series and the third volume of Blood & Fur (covering the second half of the Tlalocan arc) into free pdfs available to Dracolich patrons. Otherwise, as warned in a previous update, Blood & Fur's second volume will soon hit Amazon Kindle, and due to the exclusivity rule, I'll have to remove both the second volume's chapters and free ebook from Patreon on December 1st. If you haven't downloaded the latter yet, now is the time.

3) Winter Vacations Dates: 24th of December to 2nd of January

As long-term patrons will know, winter is the busiest time of the year for me, as the Christmas to New Year's Eve period are full of family and friendly gatherings. Since I don't think I'll be able to continue producing content quickly during that period, I'll be taking a break from December 24th to January 2nd. I hope to still be able to write a bit and build up a backlog during that time, but you may not expect updates on those dates.

4) The Perfect Run Game News

It's been a while since I posted news on that front, but it's because we've been busy with development. Our crew is currently in discussion with a publisher to fund and publish the game, but well, it's going to be months of negotiation and I won't announce anything until the ink is dry.

Besides that, we've been taking into account the last demo's feedback and especially retooled the combat/movements to make them more fluid and impulsive, and worked on creating new characters for the final game. Here are some concept arts.

Can't wait to show you pictures of those two once animated! We're also working on animating Ghoul to start design the game's actual intro, so stay tuned for more!

Finally, we're also working on a brand new area for the bunker; a robot testing/research area that will both offer a new way to descend further into the bunker (which will let the player bypass Frank; a key choice that will help unlock the Meta-Gang route in the final game) and nab a few weapons, journals, and uncover a certain secret...

 I hope to be able to introduce an update of the demo in early 2025 with all those changes, and I'll keep you informed when I can provide more.
