1) Leaf & Seed: A Superhero Western
2020, Nevada. The United States have collapsed, torn apart by superpowered warlords, young republics, and cyborg empires. Tom Rangers is a young normie struggling to survive, in a small mining town enslaved by a Psycho Genius. His prayer for a better life is answered by the arrival of the superheroine Leaf, a Genius bounty hunter with an armor of wood and a flower ship. As they say, every knight needs a squire...
This interlude would be a self-contained side-story set in the United States roughly at the same time as Ryan's story, exploring another continent.
2) No Planet for Old Men
2005. A man in Vatican is asking himself questions. What are these secret reports of demons, magical potions, and "Alchemist"? Who is this strange woman that seems to be in multiple places at the same time? And what does this strange "wonderbox" contain? Little does he know, that Judgment Day has come for Earth.
This interlude would show the apocalypse through the eyes of a future Genome, as he watches the world slowly (and then quickly) collapse around him.
