Greetings Defiant Dukes, Have either of you ever played the Resident Evil Outbreak games? Both games were based around multiple scenarios from other everyday survivors in Raccoon City during the events of Resident Evil 2. With the Co-op nature of these two spin offs, I really think Capcom has the opportunity for a great Co-op hit to package these two games together as a remake in the future. What are your thoughts on this possibility?

2026-02-10 02:58:53 +0000 UTCHey Dukes — this one’s mainly for Matty, coming in hot. Also, I’m writing in because you complained not enough people did last week. So hey, wish granted… just not in your favor this time ;) Matty I finished your Top 20 BEST PS4 Games of ALL TIME list, and Matty… How have you not played 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim?! Dude, it’s one of the best-written sci-fi's in all of gaming. The twists are insane, and the way the gameplay blends with the story is just chef’s kiss. I only have 14 platinums, and I don’t platinum games unless they truly deserve it — and 13 Sentinels absolutely does. It’s under 20 hours to beat and around 25 hours to 100%. Come on, Matty. After RE9, this needs to be corrected immediately. I’ll be expecting a Retro Rebound on it before the end of March. Anyway, love you both, Dukes. Hope you’re staying optimistic… and also hoping the AI market crashes just a little bit kind of day 🙏

2026-02-10 02:10:01 +0000 UTCHello Duke dudes, I recently got a Sega Saturn, awesome console btw, and I am wondering how Sega messed this up. In retro spec Dreamcast is the early XBOX. Microsoft has always been 3rd, that being said should I sell my XBOX Series X?

2026-02-10 00:59:35 +0000 UTCWhat’s up, Dukes? Honest question: should Microsoft even bother with new hardware going forward? With RAM and GPU prices doing their best impression of a rocket launch, it feels like Microsoft might be better off quitting the hardware arms race and just focusing on making the best games lineup in the industry. Yeah, the Xbox Series X absolutely flexed at launch. On paper it was the more powerful console and some enthusiasts noticed. But power didn’t exactly translate to domination. The PS5 still ran away with sales (by nearly a 3:1 margin) by many estimates. So maybe the move isn’t another expensive box. Maybe it’s leaning hard into Game Pass, studios, and exclusives and letting everyone else stress about silicon shortages. If you can’t win the console war, you might as well win the games war.

2026-02-09 22:53:58 +0000 UTCI'm not sure if this will fit anywhere this week but - 1)With Mattys recent book endeavor and the sour taste from GoT, Knock of a Seven Kingdoms is legit and the book is good too. 2) I've never played Final Fantasy before, tone/story wise, is it near to Metaphor? (Just started s/o to game pass) Or is it more childish? Like I jumped into Metaphor and thought I couldn't do the personas based on what I've heard on the podcasts

2026-02-09 22:16:02 +0000 UTCOh are we talking books now? I have been flying through the pages of The Expanse series. It is exceptional sci fi and the prose drips like honey. Think game of thrones but in the endless black of space. It focuses a lot on the mechanics and dark reality’s of interstellar travel and its effect on the mind and body. Can’t recommend it enough. It feels healthy and wealthy to flex that mind bone every so often fellow gamers

2026-02-09 21:42:11 +0000 UTCg'day dukes, Gotta weird query regarding Game Pass. Since Xbox lowkey cooked last year in terms of including games on Game Pass, do you expect them to keep the same energy this year? We know that 1st party titles will go day in date with the service; however, what other titles would you like to see come to Game Pass. We've already recieved a sleeper hit metroidvania in January with Mio: Memories in Orbit, and a stealth launch of Pirate Yakuza. Is there anything in particular that will have the same effect as expedition 33? Kind've an unusual question, and I know Matty isn't subscribed anymore; nevertheless, I'm curious to see what the dukes think about this. Thanks!

2026-02-09 21:27:09 +0000 UTCHello Dukes. Sorry for not writing in last week. I was busy at work. But I heard your cry’s of help, so I’m here this week. You probably saw the news of Riot Games letting go half of the team that was working on 2XKO. Around 80 people. Why question to all of you, how did this happen? It felt like Riot did the right calls to this game. Early beta testing, the right characters to the roster, and releasing at a time with no competition. But it seems like the game failed to attract an audience. It seems like every time Riot Games tries to make a game outside of League of Legends. It fails. I don’t have good feelings about that MMO now. Probably won’t be too long before we hear it is canceled.Have a good one, dukes.

2026-02-09 20:43:00 +0000 UTCHey Matty and Cog, I wanted to get your opinion on if you think that I will enjoy the new Fable. To give some context. When the Fable reveal trailer was shown at the Xbox showcase in 2023, I was really excited for it. The fidelity, humor, and simulated gameplay really spoke to me. The 2024 trailer only added to my anticipation and at that time I thought it had a good chance of coming to my console of choice, the PS5. I never played any of the previous Fable games and didn't realize that most people enjoyed them for morality, choice and consequence, and sim-lite elements until a little before the Developer Direct. After the Developer Direct, I became a lot less excited for it due to the lower graphical fidelity, bad frame pacing, and lackluster combat. I usually enjoy action-rpg with an interesting world, good combat, story and characters. I could take or leave choice and consequence and sim-lite elements. Generally speaking, I want to play a story but not make a story. I will probably still get Fable when it releases, because my partner is still really excited for it. However, knowing what you know about the previous Fable games and everything that you've seen about the new Fable, do you think that I should still be very excited for it? Thanks for reading my long post and have a DayOne! kinda day
