Agree with the Bruenigs here. Isn't it bad enough that everyone on the planet knows you were "Tubin' off" (pretty good, huh) not knowing your Zoom app is running? Let's stop ruining people's lives for their mistakes, or their opinions.....

Of course his sentence seemed notably short, but for a very young personโs first offense with plenty of collateral consequences to follow (registering as a sex offender is no joke), six months in jail is totally appropriate. I understand other people are treated worse, but the answer isnโt to drop draconian sentences on everyone to prove a point. The answer is to strive for a system that treats young black men with a Brock Turner level of thoughtfulness and consideration.
