Happy 100 punchers! The 3 of you deserve a hearty congratulations for making it to this milestone, but so does Metroid Prime 4! I heard on Sacred this week that Prime 4 charted 7th on Circona’s sales data for the month of December. On top of that, the data for Nintendo games doesn’t include digital sales, so it should be at least a little higher than it actually is. I’m very pleased to hear this, as I would really like more Metroid games in the future.. it’s really all the keeps me coming back to Nintendo! Do you guys think this means more Metroid games will come? Do you think they will focus more on first person Metroid going forward? I’d love to hear your thoughts, especially Gene’s as I will miss your appearance on the shows greatly. Get well soon, we’re all thinking about you!!

2026-01-27 00:10:03 +0000 UTCCongrats yall! 100 episodes of the show is HUGE. dagan and dustin did a great job hosting; however, brad fits nicely as LSM's nintendo pod host. Micah's takes got my eyebrows permanently positioned like dwayne the rock johnsons, and gene is a mixture of the two. A nintendo die hard who also has crazy takes and tangents that compliment the show's wacky nature. never stop yall. sending gud vibez genes way.

2026-01-26 23:15:01 +0000 UTCPU Crew, congrats on 100. Question this week: with the rumor that GTA physical copies might not release on launch day, is this something you could see Nintendo doing in the future? Not just for leaks but to gauge demand.

2026-01-26 20:41:34 +0000 UTCHey DEI Hair Brad, BIPOC Gamer Micah and PACA Journalist Gene; The Jiz Corden fueled rumor of Fable getting an ethical Switch 2 port has me excited for the game. Its living population is giving me Xenoblade Affinity Chart on meth vibes. What are your thoughts on the new Fable and would you play it on Switch 2? I'll fire up the Blackstone in honor of the 100th episode of this grilling podcast

2026-01-26 20:22:52 +0000 UTCRumored Direct next week!? Nate the Hate seems fairly reliable, but the timing would work well too. Pokémon Day is February 27th, which would give Nintendo proper to dump some game updates before the massive 30th anniversary storm hits for Pokémon. It also allows for the Switch 2 to have a massive month with a Direct full of new games followed by a Pokémon Gen X/10 announcement. But what to expect?! Anyways.. wishing Gene best of luck with his surgery and congrats to all of the crew on 100 episodes of a Punching Up! May you never graduate from Nintendo 👏

2026-01-26 19:35:17 +0000 UTCHappy 100 Episodes, Punching Up Crew! In honor of this festive occasion, I'd like to hear each of your favorite games for each of Nintendo's handheld systems. Don't think too hard about it, if you don't immediately have something ready to go, I'm cool with you saying the first thing that pops in your head: - Game Boy: - Game Boy Color: - Game Boy Advance / SP: - DS / DSi: - 3DS / New 3DS: - & Switch (this should count): Here's to much more Punching and many more episodes! - Alex Castellanos

2026-01-26 19:09:58 +0000 UTCWith the release of resident evil 9 soon upon us, do you think the game is going to be scary? I asked that as I've played most of the AAA horror games from the likes of Silent Hill, resident evil, Dead space, and more And what I've begun to realize is that these games really lack a sense of tension and horror that I often look for. While I occasionally get it like in resident evil 7 there's often a sense that even on the harder difficulties you're such a powerhouse that it feels more like you're a space marine fighting zombies rather than a simple man up against insurmountable odds.

2026-01-26 18:25:02 +0000 UTCHello Brad and Crew, Happy 100th episode! I was a few episodes behind due to the holidays and the Nintendo 2025 wrapped reminded me of a insightful (maybe depressing) way to see old playtime history on the newish "Nintendo Store" mobile app. Once you get signed in you can select your account on the bottom right hand corner and there is a history of play activity, This has a record of everything tied to your Nintendo account since the NintendoNetworkID was introduced it seems, as it has all my 3DS and WiiU game history on it. Switch onwards give insane detail like the date and hours played for every game. I like to look back on big releases that took over my life like BOTW. Seeing details like launch day of Switch I played 8hrs followed by 15 and a half hours the next day is pretty cool to reflect on, with over 400 hours total and 242 days played for BOTW. Seeing 3ds titles top my list when sorting by total time played reminds me of simpler times. It has a few filters and reminds me of the play activity tracker the 3ds had as well. Hope you all enjoy taking a look at your own accounts!

2026-01-26 18:13:11 +0000 UTCHappy 100 Punching Up Crew! I've enjoyed the show, although I have huge Nintendo blindspots. I had an original Game Boy, GB Color, and GB Advance, but nothing else until the Switch 1. I have a Steam Deck, but I would like to get into the DS catalog. Which model should I get? Where should I start? What should I avoid? Please Punchers, I need your help.

2026-01-26 17:28:25 +0000 UTCHi guys, 100 bricks fisted?? Wow! What is your favorite crazy memory from the show? Are there any insane takes from Micah that stand out? What about any wild Gene out of pocket stories? Or of course any memories of the good old days before Brad stole control of the show from Dustin? Dagan Moriar-who? Congratulations on 100 episodes and here's to 100 more! Gene my family and I are praying for you bro, we were happy to support your GoFundMe and wish you the best in recovery. Be sure to turn your screen saver of Peach riding her bike in Mario Kart before the nurses and doctors come in your room to check on you. Best, Drew D

2026-01-26 16:14:24 +0000 UTCHey punching up crew. I have a question to ask you guys. What if Nintendo brought the DS to the Switch membership lineup BUT WITH A HUGE CAVEAT! In order for you to play DS games on your Switch 2, you have to go online and buy a Special edition DS from Nintendo. This specific special DS model can't play actual physical DS games nor Gameboy games and it's $100 or no reason. And then when you open the DS app on your Switch 2 to play DS games, it gives you a code and you then have to connect your special DS model to your Switch 2 and enter the code on the DS and you have to do this every single time you open the app, then it warns you that the DS must at all times be near at least 10 feet to your Switch 2 and must be connected to the internet at all times or else it will disconnect the DS, the DS app must be open and your switch 2 must be turned on for the duration of you playing games on your DS, because closing the app or shutting off your switch 2 will disconnect your DS. Making you scratch your head in frustration as to why Nintendo can't just be a fucking normal company. and this is how we get DS games on the Switch 2! Would you love this if Nintendo actually did this, or would you scratch your head and be like "Nintendo Why!?"
