Hello jolly cooperation crew, I’ve got a sort it out to the people who can’t see past the culture wars when discussing video games. I’m not talkin about the people constantly tweeting or creating videos looking for wokeness in every corner of the industry. I’m not talking about the Reset Era denizens and games media folks crusading against any game they deem “problematic”. I’m talking about your average commenters on the internet who think every opinion on a game must have been formed due to the culture war. In Summon Sign’s own comment section, I was accused of just looking for reasons to hate AC Shadows, just because I said I didn’t like the idea that the stealth character can’t use ranged weapons. Why can’t I express an opinion about a game without being accused of taking a side in the culture wars. I don’t think the usual suspects on Bluesky and Twitter or Reset Era are ruining the discussion on games, they are easy enough to ignore. The people who take the nonsense out of those echo chambers and think every opinion on a game has to conform to one side or the other are ruining the discussion.

I have never been a turn based rpg guy, with persona the exception, but this game has me staying up way too late and cutting my sleep just for one more battle, story beat etc. I can’t remember the last time a game hooked me like this. When was your last gaming obsession? Cheers and beers from Australia. James P.s. I’m in act 2 now, also wondering which act you guys are on?
