Hey Sacred Gents, Until Dawn is coming out next friday, and yet I haven’t seen any marketing at all. No YouTube or TikTok ads, no trailers before movies or posters up in the theater (and I see a movie in theaters about once a week), and no billboards. What’s up with this? Are they just going to try and ramp up the marketing the week before release, or are they sending this movie out to die? Either way, I can’t wait to watch and hear whatever coverage you all do!

Dear Ultra Bitches, Last week you discussed the cleanliness of water at waterparks, and I considered writing in. And then you mentioned chicken sacrifice and I thought this is must be a sign. My family owned a waterpark in the California Central Valley for 30 years that closed in the mid-aughts. My grandpa started it and then my dad took over ownership in the early 90s, so I grew up with my dad owning a waterpark. First, the water. You are correct that the water is disgusting. To give you some idea of how gross it is, one of my dad’s all time favorite TV episodes is the South Park episode “Pee”. They go to water park and the PH balance gets swung too far toward the P in that ratio, but it stands for pee. My dad likes the episode because, according to him, it is “extremely accurate”. But you don’t need to worry too much about the water because the amount of chemicals in it makes the chemical warfare in Vietnam look like child’s play. Just try not to drink it. Now the chicken sacrifice. One of the reasons my family had to close the park was due to the number of lawsuits they had to deal with. People would sue for everything, and often times it was just cheaper to settle. Fat people walking down hills that were gated off and breaking their ankles, people sneaking liquor into the park and getting too drunk and hurting themselves, the list goes on. One such case was a Wiccan woman who lost her soul going down one of the slides. A woman claimed while going down one of the (milder) slides that her soul was taken from her body. She threatened a lawsuit unless a certain condition was met. The condition was if she was allowed to go onto the slide, and at the part of the slide where her soul departed her, she could sacrifice a chicken. After some consideration, it was determined it would be much cheaper and easier if they just let her. One day after the park was closed and the water turned off for the day, she scooted down the slide with a live chicken and a knife, stopped halfway down the enclosed tube, and slit the chicken’s throat. She then proceeded to scoot down the rest of the slide, now with her soul accompanying her, thanked my dad and the few employees he brought with him, and went on her way bringing the dead chicken with her. They used their stockpile of chemicals to clean the slide and all was well. Turns out Wiccans are quite reasonable compared to fat people with broken ankles, who knew? I promise this story is 100% true. I apologize for the long write in, but I felt compelled to share. Be well,

Hello Colin, Chris, and Dustin, I'm not always "terminally online" so I haven't seen the Marathon hate for myself. But when I heard about it, it got me thinking... Has there ever been a game reveal/launch that really upset you? The word "upset" is strong but I definitely was unhappy with Skyward Sword's reveal. By that point I was very aware that motion controls were unreliable and certainly were not my preferred way to game.

Hey Guys, Colin I know you have a Playstation Portal, have you ever had any issues with it on a hardware basis? I just got one and there's alot of clicking that happens in the joysticks just when moving them around which isn't really a big issue, but the right analog stick will not move up or down. It feels like it could be a software issue too and some update could fix it but I don't have the technical knowledge to know for sure. Thanks for keeping me sane at work!

Hey CDC, I had never heard of or played a Metal Gear Solid game until I was in high school back when MGS4 was released on PS3. To this day, it is the only MGS game I have ever played. I spent hours reading material in the MGS4 Database application on the PS3 to get caught up on references I didn't know. I loved every minute of it, but the hours required to get through MGS5 have put me off from wanting to go back and revisit the other games. Just letting you all know that people like me do actually exist. Am I insane? Keep on slitting on! Alex

Hey guys Do you think this weird obsession with trashing games for not having fan service or for having minority characters will ever go away? I’m concerned that this group of people will only get larger and do a lot of harm to the games industry as a whole. Thanks for your time keep up the good work.

Hey Runners, Let’s talk about Marathon. Did you see the work of art that was the cinematic short Bungie released over the weekend? It was downright inspiring. What I want to know is: where is THAT game? Give me a single player, cyberpunk-y, sci-fi psycho-thriller focused on transhumanism and the questions of identity that come along with it. Is it just me or is there gold to be found there? If Bungie won’t do it themselves, Sony should step in and make it happen because as it is, it doesn’t seem like Marathon has a “hook” that will keep people coming back in the way that they need them to. It’s a shame that this outing might destroy an IP with so much storytelling potential. I’d love to hear your thoughts about this (especially you, Chris!). As always, thanks for everything.

Hello boys, Colin, from one Boston Terrier dad to another, you gotta listen to Dustin on the bidet. I was a former bidet denier. I am now reformed. Love all of LSM’s content. Kudos boys, on a job…..done.

Guys, are we about to watch Bungie die? Or are we gonna have another BioWare situation where the name is too big to shut down?
