During covid it was what kept the lads and myself going, we played every night religiously from 9pm until 12/1. We had a five stack consistently and even had a few events where we all brought our set ups into the one house and played ranked together. The game is special to me. Since then we’re been reduced to just my friend and myself playing still, I don’t play half as much as I used to but will stop hop on 1/2 times a week and play some games. Every game feels different, they consistently make changes to operators, weapons and even maps sometimes that the game never really gets stale. I’ve only stepped back because I wanted to focus on the backlog. It’s a great game and even now in year ten, I am still learning new things everyday. It takes awhile to get into and to grips with, but it’s not as challenging as it sounds Dustin.

The Capital Wasteland is all-around more iconic, but as I said, the metro system absolutely destroys any chance of not using fast travel. That's a big thing. I know fast travel is a no-brainer, but Bethesda began building their games around fast-travel with Fallout 3.

2025-02-26 01:10:59 +0000 UTCThese feel like Reddit arguments against fallout 3 both of which are overblown. Yes fallout new Vegas is a better written game, and has a much more complex main quest. Fallout 3 is still a fantastically written game, especially by Bethesda standards. I’d say it’s their best along with Morrowind in the modern age. Fallout 3 also has a much more fleshed out open world with more thoughtful world design, IMO. The gameplay loop of wandering aimlessly in the general direction of a quest, has never been better in a BGS style game. Side quests are both as abundant as they are iconic, and well written to boot. Tenpenny tower, you gotta shoot em in the head, wasteland survival guide, Agatha’s song, big trouble in big town, Reillys rangers (or however you spell it), oasis, stealing independence, replicated man, superhuman gambit etc etc etc all goated side quests. Fallout new Vegas has stronger overall dlc, with only honest hearts being dogshit, but point lookout is up there with shivering isles and far harbor Just an overhated game that the internet likes to pick on, when it’s at worst 90 percent as good as new vegas

Also - many people have reported glitches with specifically Spotify, so I’m not sure it’s fair to say the implementation was “flawless as intended” As to Colin, the data probably does say what you say it does, but you do not have a complete, varied sample size of data to draw through in my opinion. No one would have left feedback saying they enjoyed the old RSS system, because they were happy about it. Unless you explicitly asked them. They also wouldn’t feel inclined to give you contrary feedback to those wanting individual feeds, because people assumed the change wouldn’t be forced on them. I don’t call my Insurance Company to file a roof claim because my roof looks nice. Unless you source data from happy listeners and mad listeners in equal/proportional parts, you really cannot draw definitive findings from data.

I get your arguments, it’s being said in all the countries supporting Ukraine. But you are involved in Ukraine. Then help make a peace deal that can last, that will put pressure on Russia, not surrender to them. If you want to leave NATO then you need to give a heads up, so that the other countries can build up their military. Yes, Europe has been slacking, but I will remind you that only USA have invoked article 5, and the other NATO countries responded. Both Russia and China would want nothing more than the US to step down from the world stage. The world we lived in was built by USA, and ending that trust is going to cost a lot, both for you and for me. There’s a lot of negatives to the global order, but taking hammer and smashing it is not the solution. And beyond your political views you have a president that is aligning himself with your adversaries, having talking points created by Russian intelligence.

The reason I like a universal feed for all the shows is that having one place where I can see all the episodes as they come out allows me to check what the other shows are doing. My main show is Sacred Symbols and SS+ but if I’m scrolling and I see the Dukes have breaking news on their show I go and listen to that episode. Even if I’m not an Xbox owner, I can se what goes on around the industry without having to listen to every episode of every show Last Stand uploads. If all the shows are on different places I doubt I would reach out to them as often as I do now.

I understand that the democrats have a lot of bad positions, but after this week I hope to hear from Colin regarding the betrayal of US towards it’s allies and basically aligning with Russia. You are on the road to becoming the enemy you once stood up against, it’s baffling but true. You can criticize EU, NATO, defense spending as much as you like, but this is something else. Trump is way off, Elon is crazy. Watch that clip at CPAC and tell me he should have any kind of responsibility. Both spewing Russian propaganda, Russian propaganda from the mouth of a US president. I have no words. As a fellow historian I hope you see the severity of the situation. Chris’ weird deflection about kids being destructive inherently, so, no harm no foul…? Parents are responsible for their children, if they’re dickheads and cause excessive damage to someone’s property, the parents should be held liable for that and understand that. Irrespective of any malice or ill-intent, the outcome is the same. Colin shouldn’t be expected to bear the cost just because ‘kids will be kids’. That’s stupid as fuck, imo.

At the end of the day it is your creative endeavor so I’m cool with whatever you guys decide to do. The 4 minutes it takes to add the new feeds is certainly not going to drive me away from the service. One weird thing I encountered is the first RSS link spawns two different yet nearly identical feeds on IOS. Not sure what that is about. Thank you and take care ❤️ Edit: I lick this and I live! People like myself that liked the unified feed didn't push back against the mention of slit feeds because we assumed it would be an option not the only option. I'm glad the feedback hasn't gone unheard and appreciate that you got with Patreon asap to figure something out. For now I'll deal with the split feeds but I'll be happy when the unified feed is back.

It is nice to not scroll through months of different podcasts to find the one I’m looking for. My only complaint is I would like SS and SS+ combined.

I chose to use each individual RSS link for each of the shows because with the previous universal RSS link it would have the same LSM logo for each show however, I wanted each show to have its unique logo to appear on my feed. So although it does seem redundant as Colin is saying in this episode, if you want to listen to everything but, I think it’s much easier to parse through my feed when each has the correct logo.

They're similar structures in that they're murder mysteries where you go around talking to people piecing together what happened. There's no skill required other than the ability to read. It's the greatest work of art I've experience and I've read a lot of classic literature at this point. Give it a shot

I now have to go to each seperate shows feed to listen to that episode. Edit: Was listening to the latest SS and hadn't yet reached the point where this was explained. Definitely preferred the unified feed, but it is such a minor change I will just have to adapt. Keep up the good work.

We don’t know those dogs, and we don’t want something to happen. My wife called the guy out and he just walked away without saying anything. So we told the HOA. They’ve done it multiple times since but less frequently. We even told the non emergency line and saw the community service officer talk to them before about it.

2025-02-21 19:07:04 +0000 UTCI'm going to beat the drum on the Rss feed one last time because I think this perspective is important The unified feed created a backlog of content which was listed in order of release. I took a specific interest in sorting the content from oldest to newest and listening to the old content as it had come out 8 years ago. It was like hopping in a time machine and going back to when that content had been released. I also wove my listening into the games I would play. Anything that I had heard about on a LSM podcast would be eligable as the next game I would tackle. A meta game if you will. I know the 'tism might be strong with this approach, but when I personally woke up Thursday morning, my system was gone, seemingly never to return. It is impossible to view old content in release order with the new system and I really think that is a shame. EDIT: I use spotify

It’s so much better and fixes so much of what went wrong with the initial game. It’s a legit, excellent video game and the best rendition of a time travelling narrative and world since Chrono Trigger. I despised XIII and it took me years to relent and play XIII-2, so glad it did. Also yes, Dogs > Cats.
