That’s the thing, if I’m too far away then I’d rather open up the door for myself. I don’t want to speed up or run to limit the inconvenience, and as a result, if I deem a person is “too far from reason” for me to hold the door for them, I don’t. Because I figure they might also just prefer to get the door themselves in that situation. Unless of course they have their hands full.

For the therapy he talks about getting he sure is a Debbie downer all the time and that’s all he contributes to the show. So he lost a few friends and got shit talked about him, who hasn’t? So you eat shit for a week and then the mob forgets all about you and moves on. If you were his friend, you’d tell him to get over it and quit the pity party and be thankful for the life he has. It ain’t like he or a love one had cancer and could have died. You hardly ever bring it up and it definitely isn’t your go to subject for everything.

Because he complains, that seems to be all the guy does. So what are these unrelated issues that happened? Seemed he wanted a successful YouTube / Patreon for one which he has succeeded in doing and Matty has not. It surprising to hear that they hosted the same podcast for years, all they seemed to do was argue. I believe not swearing was a big sticking point for one of them. Would it be sweet to make video games and talk about them and get paid? Of course but I can’t complain I’m a happy father of 3 and grandpa of 2. I made master machinist about 5 years ago and make decent money now. Do I have trials and heartache, of course, but I’m not going to be defined and be victimized by them and it’s definitely not something I’d share with strangers, because they have their own problems just like everyone has and sure the hell don’t want to hear mine. But I pay just like you and if I wanted to hear whining and complaining I can get that at work. This is suppose to be a escape from everyday life

While I generally agree that a lot of people need to toughen up a little and quit with the ‘poor me’ mentality; I’m also aware that I’ve never had the internet dogpile on me, including friends and work mates (the pieces of shit like Cowboy and Jaffe). We were just like… Okay. Let her hold her own door and then discussed how weird it was amongst each other. And it’s not like she was 20 or 30 ft away, she was right behind us and just said, "I don’t need you to hold the door for me” in a not so friendly tone. It’s pretty harsh when their own feelings get weaponized against them in some sick tragedy Olympics going on in a random person’s head. It speaks to why people are closed off these days. I like 4-person shows because I feel like the dynamic improves when more people can contribute to the discussion. There’s a greater chance of someone having a funny or interesting tangential story to share. With four people, if one person doesn’t have much to say on a particular topic, it’s fine because there are still plenty of voices to keep the conversation going. In contrast, with just three people, there’s more pressure to sustain the discussion. I’m also a huge fan of all the LSM personalities, and when a really good topic comes up, it’s great to hear from more of those wonderful voices. On the previous episode of Constellation #100, during the first topic, Masculinity, Gene himself mentioned that he wished it had been a 4 person episode (timestamp: 15:20), if you want to hear it for yourself. And Chris mentioned the same thing towards the end of the episode. For all these reasons, I truly believe having four people makes for a better podcast.
