Developed by Supermassive and designed in the vein of a Quantic Dream title, the choice-based adventure found a more sizable audience upon release than PlayStation itself expected. But nearly a decade has since past, and with Sony now obsessed with cross-media synergy across its IP, an Until Dawn film is on the near-horizon. (Indeed, filming just wrapped.) This naturally leads us to a ground-up remake of Until Dawn for PS5, developed by a spin-off team called Ballistic Moon, itself founded by some ex-Supermassive devs. While the original ran on Killzone's Decima engine, the remake runs on Unreal Engine 5, and there are further changes afoot, too. How does this new-old project hold-up after all these years? Is it still fun to play? Do we recommend it to fans of the original and newcomers alike? But I think joker 2 is an exact analogue of the last of us part 2, in that it's an unnecessary sequel to a beloved thing, that is actually very very good, but was panned by fans because they disagree with story beats. And I don't blame the creators for wanting to put out in the world what they actually intended to do for their first movie, because as Colin said it was liked by many people for the wrong reasons. You can like anything for whatever reason you want of course, but I don't blame the creator for wanting to make their story heard in the way it was intended. And dune is also an example of this, fans of the dune films are going to get very angry too if the next film in the series is adapted faithfully.

2024-10-16 15:20:02 +0000 UTCYou’re so right Colin, I wanted to replay this game for spooky season and I hadn’t played it since release but I have it from PlayStation plus collection when PS5 released… but after hearing your feedback I just downloaded the PS4 version again and it’s still great looking and plays well. Really don’t understand the point of these half assed remakes for remake sake that suck.
