The only reason I caved was because it was free. 6 years later, I'm still playing it everyday. I've put more time and money into apex than I ever would have into a call of duty.

You can't compare marathon to helldivers because helldivers is co-op. It attracts a different audience. Or at the very least, it's just a game to take a break from your lifestyle game. Call of duty is a unicorn in that it has existed since before this ftp model was adopted. Alot of people that play cod typically go back to their ftp game after a few months. The barrier of entry on these new games has to be easier to "try" or people simply keep playing what they've been playing. I hope marathon works and I personally am excited to play it. It just seems like an initial costs brings them into the game with a handicap.

The PS5 Pro is an enthusiast device aimed at a very small percentage of the installed base, and As Moore's Law said, Sony have priced it high because they think they can. With the PS6, Sony 's aim will be to move as many users over from PS5 and gain new customers, thefore they should be much more inclined to price it along the razors/razor blades model.

Secondly anyone that believes Concord cost $400 mil to make is an idiot despite what Colin's source said. The studio started with 100 people and only grew to 150 in the last 2ish years even at $100k per person that's around $60mill over 5yrs (100 @ 5yrs, 50 @ 2yrs). Where did the other $340mill go? Sony could have given the entire staff sex change operations and then switched them back and still not spent $340mill. The $400 claim cannot be defended.

I didn't think it was a big deal, I could still do my job and take care of my family, and it helped me relax after a long day. But it did have some negative effects, like the "stoner coma" and mood swings if I didn't have any. I realized I was doing it out of habit rather than because I actually enjoyed it. Anyway, it took an experience while I was working away to break the cycle. True stoners can always find weed, no matter how hard it may seem. I found a dealer, but he was so inconsistent. He'd have weed for a few days, then be dry for the next week. This went on for months, and I'd constantly be agitated when I didn't have any. Finally, he got a new supply and I was able to break the cycle. Told him to go fuck himself in the nicest way I could and took control of a habit that had been there for years. I will admit every now and then. I'll have a little binge But gone are the days Of socially smoking, I find the stuff's so strong. I can bearly function. I have grand plans of getting a big, fat bag in and sitting down and playing The playstation for hours on end. What I find is I get that high. That i'm unable to even function. And what beforehand was a nice idea become something that'll regret once doing it . My advice Take a really long break. Break the cycle of having it know you can go back and enjoy doing it but because you want to and not out of habit.

If the average person spends 24 minutes pooping each day over the span of 43 years, they will have spent approximately 6,278 hours or about 262 days pooping in total. And just because Elden ring sold well doesn’t mean fromsofts other games will , there games usually max out around 5 to 10 mil , elden ring was a one off. Demon souls is a good point but that was years ago and how did that sell? 1.4 mil? That’s not exactly a smash hit… again I think you guys are massively overrating the popularity of bloodborne. While good it’s still a niche game tbh and it’s clear sony doesn’t view it highly or as a priority due to its lack of popularity compared to other IP

It was interesting to hear how weed has helped you in the past to escape negative feelings in your life. Quitting weed can help you discover a part of yourself that may have been lost for a long time. That can also be very scary and perhaps worse for you than it may have been for me. I think it would be worth a shot just to see what it feels like. Not everything has to be black and white. I’ve quit with the intention of never going back and ultimately I did go back to it. I will say, if you go into it with the mindset that you are quitting for good, it’s easier. Waiting to get back to it for your next high is just kinda lame and doesn’t work. And I understand you don’t smoke to get high so that wouldn’t apply to you anyway. Sorry for the short novel of a comment, just wanted to reply to what you had to say. Thanks for all you do. Been listening to you for over a decade of my life.

I don’t disagree that $ is king and there’s more money in horizon, but no Bloodborne remaster is strange considering how much it sold and how many people are asking for it. Bloodborne only sold 7.6 million copies while the original horizon sold 24 million copies. Horizon is getting more support because it’s more popular and more people bought it. That simple. This math isn’t difficult. The gaming community has a really bad habit of thinking things that are regarded highly or lowly in twitter/youtube gaming spaces have that same level of popularity and hype actually translate to real consumers all the time. They just don’t a lot of the time. For as much as yall glaze bloodborne ( myself included) it didn’t even sell 10 million copies. Some of y’all are delusional about its actual level of popularity.

If they had shown a more in depth cinematic trailer a year or 2 ago, then maybe they would have cancelled or retooled it with more runway (instead of, you know, spending an additional 9 figures on the final year of development)
