Just a little thing I have noticed related to something Colin keeps saying, the "X people have preordered this game" isn't actually accurate. In my experience it only shows people who have interacted with the game on the PSN in some way, so this is really only people who played the beta- which makes WAY more sense.

2024-09-11 05:43:45 +0000 UTCThe reason games don’t work for streaming as well as movies and music is. In the case with movies. We can watch them in 2 hrs and it’s over. So we don’t miss them when they go off the service. And with music. Music never goes off the service. If games can be streaming in a way that they NEVER leave the service. Then maybe they could work. But if they are only on there temporarily, like movies, they won’t work. Because they can take 100 hrs to complete. And they get taken off the service before you can beat them. I’ve had this happen to me and it sucks. Just happened with lost judgement on PSPlus. I still have the PS streaming service. But it would never replace buying and owning my game..

You’d have to reboot them time and time again or stunt their character growth, and their development as characters are what made them beloved to begin with.

I do wonder if the sheer number of lopsided lib hosts/guests without any real pushback at all (Colin doesn't count, he barely pushes back) will eventually create a cascading effect where the right-wing patrons slowly just start saying "nah, I'm done" and LSM becomes the exact same left-wing echo chamber every other online community devolves into. The political Constellations are not worth watching. If I wanted uninformed political commentary by dumb people without any balance at all I could just turn on most major news networks in America. It's eye-rolling having political episodes in an election year where there is not a single person invited who actually supports one of the two major candidates and can articulate those positions. Plenty of these people exist, but we all know they are never going to be invited on for obvious reasons.

They killed off Joel, they retired Nathan Drake, they’re trying to replace Kratos w/ Atreus, Miles Morales w/ Peter Parker. I seriously doubt this is going to work out well for these franchises. Let people have the characters they love! Do you not like money???
