ALSO I've finally started working on the official version of his backstory !!
I never really explained it soo, basically

There are these special crystals called Zekium that can alter the way time flows
What happened in crystals is that it absorbs the energy in a chronological order, and transmits the information of its state to the surrounding environment
It was proven to be the key to an accurate time machine that does not distort nor modify the timeline, but instead the time machine works by making changes in the present, not alterations in any particular timeframe from the past

The story kinda plays off retrocausality
Because all time crystals are destroyed in the future, it also affected the past
One researcher (Veik) discovered a method to gain insight into the future, so he does everything to prevent the inevitable future of time crystals
That's why he sends Zekki to the future to restore time crystals, somehow (haven't figured out yet)

But Zekki ends up trapped in a casual loop paradox, anything he does to prevent it, ends up at the initial point again
If he tries to get rid of time crystals in the future, that would mean that, because there are no time crystals in the future anymore, Veik would receive the vision again, and send Zekki back again to restore time crystals in the future, thus, Zekki never got rid of the time crystals, and the loop continues

Time crystals can't change the fate of an entity, ex: go back in time and meet your younger self
But because time crystals have become unstable in the future, the effects might vary
When Zekki trusted his time crystals to Zukii as a way to evade his fate, the paradox took place and manifested creating a time rift
and then Zukii became like a personification of the paradox(? a time paradox demon thing, it will torment its victim until they finally succumb to their fate and break the paradox
But zekki is a rebel boi and hates life and time, and just doesn't want to do it XD
