Hey everyone,
Here's the script for my latest video!
This one took a while to make - honestly what took most deliberation was what to cut out. It could have been an hour if I left all the other points I had in there.
A big point that's missing here is human error & bias and industry influence. However, that's a little messier to talk about and I don't think is very productive. Painting a picture that most science is biased by hubris and industry funding doesn't encourage people to consider what is really true and properly evidenced. i.e. Just because a study on pasta is funded by Barilla doesn't mean it is automatically wrong or not useful in some way. (However, a study funded by Ketoizg00d LLC finding pasta to improve weight loss would be much more interesting than one funded by Barilla)
(Then again, I may talk about this later on.)
Looking forward to any questions or comments.
Also, I really appreciate the support on here. The video itself twice as long as my usual videos but took maybe 4 times the time and effort. The stable support provided on Patreon makes it possible to work on things like this that have unreliable ROI but that I think are worth talking about / could be of use to people. Thank you.
