2025-10-11 00:23:08 +0000 UTCI could be wrong, but I think Tsukasa was the first to awaken via revival fluid (unless you count those bird statues). Senku managed to stay conscious by focusing on counting, whereas Taiju stayed conscious by thinking about Yuzuhira and vowing to express his feelings to her, no matter how long he had to wait. Senku revived first because his statue made contact with a stream of the miracle cave's water, which contained bat guano (i.e. a source of nitric acid). When he found Taiju's statue, Senku moved it to the cave and left it under the dripping bat guano, confident that his best friend would eventually revive. After leaving a way for Taiju to find him, Senku focused on survival (food, shelter, tools, etc.) while also attempting his stone world petrification experiments. It wasn't until after the two reunited that Senku could dedicate more time to his research, at which point, after about a year(?), the revival fluid was successfully created. At least, that's how I remember the story, but it's been a while, so I may have mixed up a few things.

2025-10-10 19:20:45 +0000 UTCIt was explained last season but the reason they were able to wake up from the being petrified was because they stayed conscious the whole time. That's why Senku woke up around the same time as Xeno and friends (both without revival fluid). Taiju was the first person to be woken up by the revival fluid. Basically if you stayed conscious, the energy your brain used to run was being taken from the stone causing it to break away. Anyone who didn't stay conscious (most of humanity ) would stay as statues. (Someone please correct me if I am wrong here tho)
