It woulda basically been like Dr. Strange in Multiverse of Madness, except much worse.

2025-10-03 22:14:51 +0000 UTCThis show was made not long after he original what if but was finished like a year ago, they didn’t get a lot of the actors from the original because of scheduling conflicts and such, that’s why BP wasn’t recast yet. They also thought a lot of characters were going to be much more popular by now. There’s a lot of continuity issues with this story wise but other than that the show was decent.

2025-10-03 04:44:49 +0000 UTCOkay, so here's my last argument for WHY this mini series indicates a TON of failed and/or scrapped plans that Marvel had: 1. I personally liked the first YEAR of Marvel shows. That includes Ms. Marvel and Hawkeye. Neither got a s2, WandaVision was always meant to set up the movie (which flopped), and only Loki got a s2 as far MOST Marvel shows are concerned as of today. I think the use of Ms.Marvel in Blade would make perfect sense behind all the rumors that hinted or said that "Blade would be a side character in his OWN movie, and they would make a female character the true lead role." 2. If those other shows had s2s (honestly, even if they didn't), they would have touched on storylines like Kate's mom much more in depth, and explained how Kamala got to the US. I said this last time, but it's still a valid point. I also expect if we had gotten the Blade movie as planned, we would have seen him become Blade Knight. 3. There are other rumors that suggest Mahershala Ali didn't like the scripts he was given because Marvel wanted to change his character entirely. Whether it be the white hood, or the fact that he wants to play BLADE and not some mixed up, new age version of him... Ali didn't like SEVERAL things about the direction Marvel wanted to take him... 4. The BIGGEST key to pointing out that Blade Knight was supposed to be a REAL thing is this... The Blade movie was initially SET-UP in MoonKnight... Kip Harrington had some random scenes that were supposed to tie in the show with the Blade movie. I can't remember his name, but he was a key player to the Blade movie and got very little shine in the MK series. Another factor here is that Marvel had already intended to tie MoonKnight into Blade. With Oscar Isaac being who he is and there never being word of a s2 for that show, I imagine a movie passing of the torch (so to speak) would have made a lot of sense as well. Bottom line is, I GUARANTEE you that Marvel wanted Mahershala to play Blade wearing a white hood, and he said "You gotta be fuxkin' kiddin' me..." So thus... No movie. Just this special series of "What could've been" instead of "What if...?"s. I truly believe we will never see a Blade movie again... at least not one with Ali.
