Lupa you are right. Some objects in Shintoism are said to be gods or Kami. Though some humans that were said to be gods typically have divine origin. Entities that rule the land or are the land themselves (mountains etc.) can also be Kami. That’s used often Japanese horror. The impurities are different from god/ and could be Yokai (ghosts/monsters) like in Dandadan but I could be wrong. It could also be an original idea.
