2025-05-17 06:02:51 +0000 UTCremember when they show hat mao mao is doing its a past thing it already happened. let say it took five day minimum to get to the village ten max. anything shown happened after those 5 to 10 days of just junrey meaning the trying to kill jinshi was only beause he looked like the prev pedoeemperor and suiren was tolld this and after her failed mission she went back to the hot spring village did a collab with the blond cousin to spread item so a certain lady in waiting could make abortion drugs and cause chaos for whatever plan required that many body doubles and schemes and it worked cause boht loulan and her dad if he is even her dad their plan worked and they dipped mao mao just was in the wrong place right time. if they had missed each other it would have taken everyone at least a month before they figured out loulan was gone and so was her dad. they took mao mao and it was just her missing to clock in and they knew something was fishy. mao mao may be a freak that likes to experiment on herself but she does her duties to 100% fulfillment. the other side is prob panicking because they took mao mao and just having lkan on your ass is bad but to have the son of the emperor. it is worse it is a death sentences all those servants while they may not know much were part of it so it mean they going to die

2025-05-15 20:22:24 +0000 UTCYeah, a lot of it led to Shisui for me from the very beginning -- and this seems weird and silly, but one of the biggest (pun unintended) things that stood out to me was them making a point of how Shisui's bust size was larger than it appeared to be under her clothes, because most of the hints they drop are never throwaway lines and we all know about the current emperor's preference for concubines (as far as body type). Plus, y'know, the fact that Loulan literally never spoke and they look passably similar.

2025-05-14 22:26:06 +0000 UTCI kinda get the vibe that loulan/shisui is gonna keep up the "plucky/sweet/airhead" personality and the show is gonna want us to empathize with her. but it doesnt make a lot of sense to me. Yeah, her family has been incredibly wronged by the late emperor and i understand them having beef with the royal family they want to get back at... but realistically Shisui just abandoned her 50+ ladies in waiting that came with her from her homeland to be executed. the fact she's still being as carefree and bubbly about everything is wild. Either she's a sociopath that the show hasn't let the other shoe drop for yet, or I'll be a little disappointed in the writing.

I had assumed that there was a deeper meaning in it, like suspicion was already on Loulan and Gaoshun was asking probing questions to figure out if she had an actual twin or something idk. Essentially though this has all been a plot for a rebellion by Shishou to take the throne for himself, and he's just using the resentment from the previous emperor pedo to his advantage. The price of grain and metals going up in the country just leads to that being the case, and he's one of the few people that can move that much material, on top of him disappearing and being color blind it's all coming together. That, or he's doing something else like declaring independence for his region. That would probably be way more successfel for him being that all he has to do is sit their in his own turf, terain advantage is no joke.
