We see in season 1 when Maomao finds that Suirei escaped she commented that she wants to meet her so Suirei can teach her how to make it, then burst out into her evil cackle. If Maomao starts acting weird then like 90% of the time you can just assume it's because she's weird.

2025-04-28 22:53:59 +0000 UTCAlso to comment about the resurrection medicine - Maomao isn't interested in medicine, herbs, drugs etc just so she can use them for a specific existing reason, she just wants the knowledge. So even if she doesn't have a reason for using the resurrection medicine if she learned to make it, she would still thirst that knowledge. It's a very smart way of luring her out, although majority of the reason was the threat towards Shisui.
