So she read his thoughts and basically twisted his perception to believe what they are doing is in the greater pursuit of the church basically. So that being said he is willing to follow it through and even saw the Evangelist as “god” per se to him now.

I don't imagine that it's easy, but Haumea has the perfect ability to convince people using their own thoughts and biases against them. Also it helps that Burns was always a devout follower of Sol.

Fights have different outcomes and the story is VERY different after the anime deviated. Well worth checking out if you are interested.

Brotherhood follows the manga so other than the first 10 eps they are completely dif shows with completely dif storylines

Im ngl the Soul Eater Moon at the beginning of the Episode gave me an idea as to how ts might play out. Idk how or why but I think that specific Moon has something to do with Shinra for the following reasons: The Evangelist is supposed to represent the Sun. The same nervous smile Shinra has is the same one shown on the Moon AND on the Evangelist at the beginning of the episode. Moonlight is sunlight that is reflected off the surface of the moon AKA only a fraction of the suns power. An ADOLLA BURST is a flame from the realm of Adolla, an ADOLLA LINK can happen with the Evangelist giving the AB wielder a 'grace'. If you think of an AB wielder as a conduit (a surface to reflect off of) for the power of Adolla to come thru (sunlight), in my mind it makes sense why ALL THREE of those characters smile in that same exact "demonic" way. I could be reading too deep into this, but either Shinra is the moon or the moon is a personification of Shinra's adolla burst or grace.
