I think with Beru now part of his soldiers, we'll have the opportunity to see more of the humor with his shadows, as he is much more relaxed around them than a majority of the other cast. Also, I think you see quite a few subtle nods to Jinwoo's emotions in this episode alone. His recognition of Byung-gu's character even post death and respect for Yoonho's wishes and concern say a lot, even in how brief the moment was. Also, the memorial worked as a good example of just how the death of others still weighs on him now because he has the ability to do something about it and thus this raid really served as a growing example of his desire to further protect, not just those close to him but in general. It's impossible not to notice how cool he is, but the other facets of what make him a good character are definitely there.

I think it's fair to say she got strong enough to be a net positive in the endgame fights. Sasuke and Naruto were literally boosted by alien god powers, it would be ridiculous for her to be on their level, but she's as strong as you can reasonably expect a healer to be. Being able to regenerate herself goes a long way in not needing to be protected during fights. As long as she can hang around in the fight and provide some support without consistently needing to be bailed out by the other two, then I'd still call that "standing beside them".

Cha wants to be stronger so that she's not a hindrance to jinwoo, or someone he has to save. To be worthy of standing next to him means maxing out your potential and being worthy of being on the same stage as him. The anime cut out some content so I’m just gonna explain a few things. Cha is not the only one with that side effect of having a sensitive nose, the Japanese hunter with ice magic also has the same thing. In fact his is worse than Cha’s which is why he wears a mask. If you can remember in one of the past episodes when Beru pulls up the Japanese hunter takes off his mask and throws up( this is bc of how strong berus aura/stench was). Also per sheeras question of whether the ants would listen to beru since he was turned into a shadow. Something cut from this episode was when Jinwoo extracted the ant queen. When he did this the other ants he brought back returned to their primal instincts of protecting the queen over their new master jinwoo realizing he terminated her extraction so that the ants would only follow his orders.

It was originally planned to do 2 split cours but they had to push the second cour ( now season 2 ) back because of production issues. its not like they magically produced 12 episodes in just 1 year after season 1 ended. 2. The director is currently busy with another project for now so now the question is do they wait for him to come back or do they just change directors? also no worries SL 3 production was leaked to be greenlit, its just gonna take while, my guess is early 2027 at the earliest

Yea, Byung-Gu's soul/shadow kept his original wishes of staying out of hunter work (not staying a shadow in Jin Woo's army) and initially rejected Jin Woo's arise. Jin Woo had to convince him using the excuse of only being resurrected to save Hunter Cha's life (which an alive Byung-Gu would never hesitate to do, which is why the arise works the second time in the manhwa). The show omits all of this by just having Jin Woo say 'I heard a voice from Hunter Min telling me to use my power'.

I like that they make him struggle too, otherwise the fights would be boring. The issue is that in the manhwa, the fight against Baran was low-diff. But the made it seem in the anime that he won because of luck. Same with Beru, they made it seem like jin woo because he got a skill upgrade at the very last moment. Neither fights in the manhwa was even close. The anime could have portrayed him struggling without needing these BS last second clutch shit.
