2025-02-20 00:43:32 +0000 UTCin the novel it states that liliana's parents were happy she was gone because they could have another baby. they weren't too broken up about it, because that's the bard's way of living; they don't really form attachments, and it's why liliana's heart is torn between staying in priestella with kiritaka and being the wandering bard she'd always wanted to be for her lineage. also to explain, the reason her voice is heard is because of her telepathy divine protection, and also because of the nature of wrath's authority to spread emotions like a wildfire. if one person sees, hears, or feels something, it'll spread quickly to others near. her power is literally mob mentality.

In the light novels liliana is if not the most disliked character but the anime does her well. Oh also it's in a side story but subaru has already met liliana at the village before.

Now, we've actually heard of Flugel twice before. In S1, the giant tree that Subaru dropped on the White Whale was known as Flugel's tree. And in S2 before using the Sloth Witch factor on himself, Petelgeuse apologizes to Flugel for doing so and asks him to forgive him. I believe Garfiel has mentioned Reid once or twice during S2 as well. Moving on to the actual fight we see Sirius begin to unwind as things progress. She claims that she wants others to embrace love and not wrath. That Wrath is inferior to love. But when Liliana calls her out, she immediately lashes out in anger. And she constantly talks about how Wrath is the treasure Petelgeuse left her. She's basically a big hypocrite. And one might think it was easy for Priscilla to defeat Sirius but in actuality it was the opposite. Priscilla would've taken several serious blows had her jewelry not protected her. Priscilla had to hold back until Liliana freed the civilians but Sirius had to fight two people who naturally hard countered her. It might've looked simple but it was a hard fight for both of them.

Also, Arrogant as hell Flame Princess is growing on me. She got hands fr. Did not expect her to be able to fight Wrath this competently let alone win. She lowkey low-diffed her. Her ability sounds busted. Can she designate any item as valuable to her? Or does it actually have to be valuable? Is there a limit to how many items she can do this to? Damn. We didn’t get no real Progress with Subaru though. Can’t wait to see Greed get his slice of humble pie.
