The cast is pretty stacked - Uma Thurman and Peter Dinklage (AKA Tyrion Lannister) are both in the show, and it's going to be set in New York City. Showtime hasn't actually made a decision yet about the future of this show (Original Sin), and Patrick Gibson (Dexter) said he'd definitely be up for it if it happens. There's a pretty big time gap before the events of the first season of the original show take place - this show is set in 1991, and the first season of Dexter was set in 2006. They could definitely give us more of Brian's backstory over the 15 years between this and the original series, and those who have seen the original show know where that story goes.
