2025-02-12 20:42:13 +0000 UTCI thought that two when it first aired I even looked on twitter to see if anyone else was thinking the same. It's more that Greg is the only one that he can trust. You really only see the real Tom around Greg he's the only one that Tom can be open with and confide in. Greg's just as greedy and ambitious as Tom, Greg is basically a work husband.

2025-02-12 13:05:43 +0000 UTCYeah I feel like that’s why Roman was mad at Kendall bc regardless of what was going on between them - He should have secured that investor by teaming with his father and THEN worked on getting back at him. But Kendall not looking out for his dad at the end there really did end that deal
PetersThimble
2025-02-12 12:04:35 +0000 UTCI feel you Lupa cause I can’t stand awkward silences as well, between characters like Logan and Kendall. I died laughing when he said “get out of my office” when Tom wouldn’t leave Greg

2025-02-12 08:56:13 +0000 UTCYeah but that goes to show he’s a really an idiot and just honestly a horrible person. He literally owns water rights 😐 and if we look objectively he only knows his father. Being considered for CEO is hilarious

2025-02-12 07:24:16 +0000 UTCW cause it seems Kendall can do no wrong in they eyes😭 it’s laughable that he really has them convinced with his more holier than tho persona when he’s just as or even more trash than his siblings
Mali Howard
2025-02-12 07:21:55 +0000 UTCW assessment. The fact that Roman is constant losing in some regards it doesn’t bother him that much and he’s able to shrug or laugh it off as a joke. Then we get Kendall who gets hit and immediately breaks down and can barely function.

2025-02-12 07:19:59 +0000 UTCThe whole thing was to sniff out the dysfunction in the Roy family. He lied about having a sick daughter, so theyd fly out to his place. He wanted to see if theyd fly together. Kendal got there before Logan, sus. He wanted to evaluate their working chemistry. The hike was to assert dominance/control over the conversation, but also to see Logans health. And obviously Logan was struggling, and the repeated offers were to see if Logan was wise enough to even accept help/back down when he needed it as opposed to killing himself. The final nail in the coffin was Kendal not giving a fuck when his dad nearly collapsed, trying to continue the conversation. That was the moment that gave Adrian Brody no faith in post-Logan leadership. That whole scene was framed by Brody’s character to apply pressure and observe the cracks in the Roy family.

2025-02-12 03:56:16 +0000 UTCBetween that tattoo story with Kendall and Roman and Logan's slurs, they're terrible lmao. Josh really was lost because he just bought that place. From a personal standpoint, it felt good to see Kendall punch back at Logan but from a business perspective, letting his dad show weakness and not making the executive decision to say "We're going to wait for a ride" no matter what Logan said messed Kendall up here. Josh wanted to see how bad it was between them.

2025-02-12 01:46:43 +0000 UTCFor those that love the Greg and Tom dynamic, the creator/writer of Succession has an older sitcom that he co-created and co-wrote called Peep Show that was recently uploaded to Hulu. It's hilarious. Also costars Olivia Colman

2025-02-12 00:23:08 +0000 UTCI love how this show bombards you with the crazy billion dollar discussions, helicopters and fleets of cars, angry phone calls and arguments over investors...and then it all comes to a complete halt and fades into the background when a universally relatable moment happens like with Logan on the walk. As much as he fights against it and hates talk about it, he's just as mortal as everyone else. And despite the animosity with Kendall and the amount of money on the line here, it all fades into this moment where he grabs his son and realizes he needs help, and Kendall is mutually worried. They ignored each other except for niceties in front of Adrian and insults when they were alone, but both of them completely dropped that when they realized Logan really wasn't doing good. I don't know exactly how to express what I love about these moments, but they are the best part of the show for me, besides the humor. It's like when Kendall and Shiv hugged in S2. They just get overwhelmed with the act they constantly have to keep up, and it drops, and they're finally vulnerable.

2025-02-11 23:44:34 +0000 UTCRewatching this series is such a treat. The dialogue is so natural, and the characters are written in ways that even the most random line fits, that they're able to foreshadow things without really having to go "hey this will be important later"

2025-02-11 22:51:53 +0000 UTC“Nothing is a line. Everything everywhere is always moving, forever.” One of Logan’s hardest lines, something all three kids struggle with (particularly when it comes to their standing with their dad) although Shiv is probably the worst in that regard. Roman can be surprisingly adaptable even as he makes mistakes, Kendall doesn’t take setback well but when he gets the energy he can try to bulldoze over obstacles (at the danger of tipping into mania). Shiv is often frustrated which is of course intertwined with her status as a a woman and outsider to the firm, as well as her personal insecurities. The character psychology in this show is always fascinating.

2025-02-11 21:51:32 +0000 UTCThe whole episode was about everyone being stubborn assholes to the detriment of themselves and others. Josh was genuinely lost but didn't want to look foolish in front of Logan and Kendall. Logan needed a cart but didn't want to look feeble and incapable to Josh and Kendall. Kendall could have due to the photo op with his father in order to sway Josh to take their side but didn't and now he's out on them as the future of the company and is firmly in Stewy and Sandy's camp.

2025-02-11 19:20:59 +0000 UTCThat's why he's the best character in my eyes, because he knows exactly when and when not to play Logan's game. He's the eldest son and I don't think that gets pointed out enough. Conner has seen and heard a lot in Logan's inner circle. Funny thing is, I don't think he was ever taken seriously as a contender for the throne. None of his younger siblings see him as much of a threat or respect him, even though he was probably a better father to them than logan ever was.
Jamaal Ellison
2025-02-11 19:19:48 +0000 UTCThat’s a good point on how Connor may be seen as the eccentric one who knows nothing but at the end of the day out of all the siblings, Connor knows Logan the best in terms of his mind games that he plays

2025-02-11 19:00:38 +0000 UTCTom was looking at prisons like he was trying to decide what college to go to. Speaking of prison i love seeing my favorite character Conner getting sauce even if it's a little. i've been a fan of his actor since Farris Bueller's day off which I feel is a spiritual prequel to succession.
