Anime has always been like this and you don’t see them complaining because this is normal, and this type of animation is what us real anime fans grew up on. We weren’t spoon fed these continuous spectacles for simple shows and we were lucky to get it in a movie. The animation is perfectly fine, you are just putting unrealistic expectations on this anime, just because the panels are detailed and great. That’s now what dictates if an anime should be given the Mappa slave workers treatment or not. If you’re only watching it for the animation, then you never liked the series to begin with
