But it's done rather lazily. Everything that he tries to question are things that we, the audience,saw with our own eyes. All the deaths, all the motives were clearly laid out. I don't mind disagreeable characters, but I do have an issue with when a show disregards an audience's competency.

He crashed out without asking anyone, anything (not even his "partner"). And he ignored anything anyone had to say until he got an answer that satisfied him. Even his "partner". The reality is, that he was always going to crash out because he can't accept someone else's experiences as valid unless he experiences it personally. There's just one HUGE problem with that. Life is full of too many experiences/pitfalls to experience them all personally and still remain "intact" by the time you die. Not talking down on you or anyone who may be experiencing this, btw. It's something all humans contend with. I hope that an example of someone "behaving badly" will be the spark you need to be/do better when your "crisis moment" comes. Good luck -we never know what's inside of us until we're facing death. What you practice in life will be the first thing to serve you - or fail you.

It feels like Walking Dead style writing to create a new secondary conflict every so often. Jim shouldn't be able to reconcile with the impossible geography and resources this place has. How tf is the government or whoever generating electricity from wires that lead to nothing, or making an infinite loop of road that suddenly traps people from all over the country in the same location?
