2024-12-31 22:41:41 +0000 UTCAfter doing my own rewatch alongside the FourStarBento guys doing their rewatch of GT I can say for certain that while it has some memorable moments, interesting concepts and cool parts here and and there, it is a horribly paced and most of the time poorly written show with terrible power scaling feats, inconstant animation, horrid character growth and terrible villains other than that of Baby and perhaps some of the Shadow Dragons. SSJ4 is an amazing transformation and I do agree that with its ties back to the Oozaru form and their heritage it is an fantastic transformation and I can generally put it higher than alot of DBS's tranformations. But its also a literal ass pull, with a comedic giant size pair of pliers spawned in by those freaky ass racoon dog aliens from the weird Amusement park episode (I wish I can burn this episode from my mind it was so stupid). The fact that was the only way they thought of Goku getting his tail back is wild. Next, lets talk about big green himself. Piccolo was given such disrespect in the series, as to only be given TWO major scenes in the Baby Arc. He gets jobbed by Baby Gohan and then they KILL HIM OFF by having him stay behind on the planet to get rid of the Black Star Balls, as if there wouldn't or couldn't be ANY other option than suicide to getting rid of them, but sure "its emotional" or whatever. And I will admit, the early episodes of GT were not that bad at all. The journey to get the Black Star Balls was interesting and did alot of call backs to OG DB which was great! That is, until they started treating Pan like she was completely usless and having her beat Giru for no damn reason at every given point, giving this version of Trunks little to no character what so ever and pivoting to a completely different style of story when they realized that more people cared about the action than the adventure. And lets not forget Dolltaki, the creepiest loser of a villain to be add to the series, who was so disturbingly excited to strip Pan naked as a doll, fully aware that she used to be a living being, like wtf?! Dragon Ball Roshi can be creepy but this guy was just too much. Or lets talk about General Rilldo, the guy who was, by Goku's own words "Even stronger than Majin Buu!" Except some how was able to be defeated by the combined power of Pan, Trunks and Goku (Without them going SSJ. Which would have been great for Pan to do at some point, but no lets have her become a damsel in distress half the time. And all of these issues are before I even got to fucking Baby! You wanted examples other than GT not cannon? Well there you go. I could keep going through each Arc with Super Baby, Super 17 or the Shadow Dragons and talk about all their shortcomings, but I don't want to have to keep typing. I can still enjoy some of GT and I recognize that it has some incredible and memorable moments that I thoroughly enjoyed. But as a cohesive story? As a proper continuation of DBZ? It is not good. You like it? Thats cool, you do you. Do I think Daima is better than GT? Don't have an opinion yet cause the series inst done, so I'll hold off on my thoughts till its finished.

And Ssj4 definitely goes back to their roots, they grow fur just like an ape. Obviously they don't have the tail in canon cause Gt isn't canon, in GT you know why his tail grew back tho. Goku's version of ultra instinct is a transformation, Vegeta's ultra ego, is definitely a transformation, it's just not a form of super sayian. You literally don't have an argument besides it's not canon, and i already pointed out that it's not canon.

I mean I wouldn't know specifically how they may be killed off, but we'll see knowing how goofy they are... also considering that Babadi was also goofy, he too was killed off by Majin Buu, so IF Toriyama reused a plot-line here and there, he'll incorporate that somehow.... *ALSO* don't forget that Dr. Arinsu wants to use the Daima Dragon Balls to become the ruler of the Demon Realm, usurping the Clown's position for herself, but again, just my theory on how he may get taken out...

Super sayain blue is literally super sayin with god power and Ultra instinct isn’t the same as any other transformation. Nothing about Super sayin 4 goes back to the roots. It’s a transformation only possible with a tail which they don’t have in canon. And the golden ape form is also not canon or real. Talking about “roots”. Ultra instinct isn’t a transformation. The only real transformation is SSG, Blue is still super sayin with divine energy. “Don’t need” says you, not a great argument. You simply don’t feel the spirit of dragon ball and that’s Ok. You prefer to feel afraid like you did in GT

2024-12-31 03:01:22 +0000 UTCIt's an actual continuation of Z, it's not constantly setting us back in time, It actually has impactful moments and times when everything actually feels helpless, like when the planet blew up and Piccolo stayed behind, nothing in this new age of Dragon can touch that scene. They gave us one great form and it tied back into the sayian race, unlike DBS that gave us 3 transformations but all it really was, was giving us a transformation we already had but with a different color. on top of that we had 3 transformations from Z already, we didn't need 3 more. Super has way more at stake and yet it doesn't feel like it at, same with Daima, the demon world is a joke, and because this is prequel we know everything's going to be fine, even if they struggle a little, GT doesn't feel like that, you know they're going to win cause they're the heroes but that sense of danger is still there

GT has the best ideas, it has the best ending so far ( but the execution of the ideas were terrible. )
