I admit English is not my first language, and for that matter I must always use a dictionary when expressing myself online, so I may be in way over my head here, but I see the Merriam-Webster website defines the term retcon by "the act, practice, or result of changing an existing fictional narrative by introducing new information in a later work that recontextualizes previously established events, characters, etc." So in that sense, since it recontextualized the entire cosmogony of the Dragon Ball lore, shouldn't the discovery that the Universes our characters explored for decades now have been created by an ancient Demon king classify as a "retcon"? Because I think it should. This discovery clearly redefines the nature of existence in the entire Dragon Ball World as a product of Demonic powers. I actually never had Dragon Ball Super nor Grand Zeno in mind while writing my comment. But if we were to take Dragon Ball Super as a canonical spin-off, then I would also be curious as to whereas the "Demons" created the "Angels", because that would sound ironic.

Personally I grew up reading OG Dragon Ball and Dr Slump, and I always thought DBZ/the saiyans saga ruined the entire story because it introduced absurd power levels and transformations and fights strategies got replaced by "character with strongest power level wins", the original OG team became unabalanced due to the saiyans being OP, and cool characters like Yam'cha, Tenshinhan, or Krillin became useless and relegated to the background. Even the fights choregraphies became less and less influenced by Chinese martial arts cinema. But Daima isn't exactly like OG DB. OG DB was a humoristic parody of Journey to the West where every character was either retarded or perverted, or both at the same time. That's why it was so much fun to read. In comparison, Daima's tone is way less satirical than OG, and I'd say even cuter and more wholesome at times.

Not really a retcon, Grand Zeno wasn’t ever really stated to be the creator of the universes just the supreme ruler since he had the power to destroy. Most likely he’s stronger the Rymus but he can’t create stuff himself. That’s probably why he planned on the super dragon balls to bring back the universes he destroyed during ToP. I’m just curious in how the angels came into play with all of this

This cosmogonical retcon is actually insane and kinda reminds me of the Hindu myth of creation (Also the ancient Supreme Demon King kinda looks like a fat version of Yellow Loong from Black Myth Wukong lol). It literally presents the Demons realm as the real original World and every other universe as a mere by-product. Also, if humans and saiyans came after Majins, then they must give an explanation as to where did they come from, and why. That would be cataclysmic if Toriyama went full Ancient Astronauts route and told that the humans species was created by some Majin scientist. Could grow to religious highs even.

OG DB is a great prefer that story over most of what we got in Z. Daima issue I have is the placement of the story. I enjoyed GT for having that OG DB feel, this has it but it just feels like it was given to many episodes. 13-16 would of been a good number of episodes for this.

So I kind of had a feeling that because of the lightheartedness similarity of the OG Dragon Ball, I had a feeling that Kuu would also be a goofy ass kind of character the moment he struck those poses during battle...! Let's see how they'll take his character through this show... Also that clown and kai somehow didn't see Kuu battling Tamagami via their screens, but were more focused on the group that got the first Demon Realm Dragon Ball....? What a joke...

Yeah I am guessing that Rymus is either an ancestor of Grand Zeno, or Grand Zeno is like the Destroyer counterpart to Rymus’ Creation deity status (like Beerus and other Destroyers are to the Supreme Kai’s/Glinds).

The power scaling still isn't quite clear. It's likely that this Majin Kuu either will wind up evolving somehow, or they'll make another Majin that becomes the villain. Maybe Kuu will be an ally? I also have to wonder what Majin Buu was like right from the jump. Was he a bit clumsy until he got used to his own abilities? Either way, they're keeping me interested with this deeper dive into Majins Rymus being introduced as the creator makes sense too. I never thought about Zeno being the destroyer at that level, and therefore a creator counterpart should exist. More pieces being filled in as we go.
