I'm suspecting that the person who answered the phone is one of the monsters. It seems the longer the people have been there/started showing up in this place, the monsters have evolved. From them screeching at the beginning, to now being able to talk out loud to the people and with the drawings going on, they've somehow developed their own society or whatever you'd call it. They probably have some hierarchy or something. If they've been talking to Sara telepathically the same way the little boy in white did, then I bet they are in tune with the area and can basically sense and see everything going on (like Father Katri and him burying the bag and Tabitha digging the hole, of course also if she was caving in the roof of their dorm I'm sure that would make it easy to track what she was doing lol). Also, I was wondering with the whole two cars showing up on the same day being a rarity that the monsters took note of, and how this time Jade and Jim, two engineers, happened to show up, was it accidental or intentional? Is this a case of the monsters are bringing these people here on purpose or is it just that once someone gets caught in the web, then that's when they can control them? The last time this happened when Victor was a kid, everyone died. What if this is some special hunting event? If the monsters seem to enjoy walking down their prey at night, that makes it seem like its a game/entertainment for them. Would bringing two people with skills capable of "freeing" not be something that would worry them, or is it just something that makes their game more challenging? Like they were bored or something.

I finished the whole series dumb dumb and I know what you're talking about regarding Julie's character arc in S3. And it wasn't just her who was refusing to talk about it, the other two GROWN ASS characters who experienced what she experienced did not answer questions about what happened when they were pressed for info either. And they explained why MULTIPLE TIMES. For 1, they didn't even know how to put into words what happened. They experienced something beyond their human comprehension. And 2, it was insanely traumatizing for them. Yea people don't like to relive the traumatic shit they experienced especially when it rocks them to their core like they showed it doing to Julie and the other characters MULTIPLE TIMES yet again. As for her brother, he literally admits later on that as he starts to learn more about the place from Victor that he is terrified and just using the stories and Cromenockle shit to cope cuz otherwise he wouldn't know what else to do. The only reason he seems more "mature" is cuz he isn't a teenager and he has Jim or Tabitha hovering over him every minute of every day to tell him what to do and keep him safe. As for your other dumbass points, yea teenagers have shitty priorities. Julie went to go live in colony house cuz she said she felt "normal" there. Was it a smart choice? No. But is it truly so fuckin shocking that a teenager would prioritize having fun with people who treat her nicely and smoking weed over having to face the fact that yes her little brother almost died, she may potentially be trapped in a lovecraftian hellscape forever, and that she faces death literally every day? She literally has a whole mental breakdown in S1 when Victor saves her from the Colony House attack. Cuz she realizes just how awful things really are. She wanted to cope by pretending everything was fine by living at colony house where she could easily do that. A coping skill she learned from Jim and Tabitha by the way. A point the show YET AGAIN makes clear MULTIPLE TIMES. It's obvious you didn't actually listen to any of the damn dialogue present in the show. I wouldn't be surprised if you just rolled your eyes and turned your brain off during the multiple scenes when it was nothing but conversations happening between characters. The dialog is there for a reason you jackal. Maybe actually pay attention to it.

The mystery is a huge part of the show. If the characters knew what was happening it would be easier for them to leave. You get more answers as it goes along. Season 3 in particular has alot of answers. Greatly narrows what is happening in the show etc.

It kinda is. But the thing you gotta remember is this series is weaving everything together. S3 reveals so much and as the series progresses into S2, you'll see much more stuff starting to come together. S1 is basically just a big setup for the characters to fit into their roles and begin figuring things out.

Don't be concerned. Season 3 is not as slow as they said and it honestly picks up momentum hella fast. Maybe not as fast as S1 and S2 but it does so many huge things and reveals so many answers from the first two seasons that the beginning of S3 is more just to let you sit and process what just happened from S2 and what's foreshadowed to happen. And it also presents so many more questions and sets up some massive playoffs that will def be covered in S4. So don't worry, S3 is gas and will not disappoint when Roshi and the crew get around to it.

The mystery is a huge part of the show. If the characters knew what was happening it would be easier for them to leave. You get more answers as it goes along. Season 3 in particular has alot of answers. Greatly narrows what is happening in the show etc.

the no answers is a turn off for me but hey, i get it. some folks love a mysterious man but not me. TRANSPARENCY IS HONESTY! TELL THE TRUTH!
