I know.. but as I said "Nemuri No.7" is dead. That's the only "Nemu" we really see in action/saw in the series. I know we most likely getting a new one later but still sad that we lost one we followed from the begenning of the series.

Szayelaporro was not gassing him up. He was making fun of Mayuri’s sadness over losing Nemu and basically calling him a hypocrite. And Mayuri shut that down by going “yknow what? You’re right” and locking in, proving he’s not a *hyprocrite*, he was just buggin. He turned a roast into a reminder basically.

I am so happy to see this episode animated well. Nemu was a character I wished was done more with, and you would see her growth, especially in the post-credit scenes in the early anime. When she spends time with the female soul reapers, you realize, "Oh, she is learning by being around these people." Overall happy with this fight.

While Ururu and Jinta are artificial souls like Nemu, since they appear to age normally, that would indicate that Nemu was “born” before them and thus Mayuri at least still gets the credit for reaching said scientific achievement first before Urahara. There is also an argument to be made that Nemu is more advanced in terms of independence/individuality/autonomy than Ururu is, since as depicted in the Arrancar arc, Ururu has automatic programing (i.e. “Slaughter Mode”) that takes over her free will when sensing certain threats, which is something Nemu is apparently not bound by. So I think it’s fair to say that Mayuri is at least tied with (if not slightly ahead) of Urahara in this specific field of study/scientific achievement.

So I just want to point out something that's very funny to me. Mayuri is talking that good shit about surpassing Kisuke with the creation/perfection of Nemu. His life's work, which took over a century to create, with all the Soul Society's Science Division's resources available to him. Kisuke made Ururu and Jinta, who are both artifical souls like Nemu in about 10 year, first try, with shit he found primarily in the living world(basically in a cave with a box of scraps comparatively) and that was like a side peoject he did cause he could as far as I know.. While they aren't as impressive or strong since the weren't built for combat and Kisuke raised them like normal kids cause he's not an abusive, narcissistic, psycho and they evolve and develop not unlike Nemu while retaining their autonomy and individuality. So yeah, Mayuri is still 2 steps behind.

Nemu=Dream and is literally Mayuri’s artificial child in the same way that Junta and Ururu as the 2 kids always with Kisuke, except much more capable. She’s the lucky number 7 and to him, she was “perfect” just for being way beyond the last and rest of them instead of just another experiment, which is why he stopped attaching a number to her name, and ironically thanks to cancer as ‘rapid cell division’ was the only thing allowing Nemu to grow is what also essentially Mayuri gave to Pernida in killing him. Pure scientifically poetic madness. Her last attack Gikon Jūrinjū (Heavy Artificial Soul Cannon) and since a small panel was left out regarding Pernida’s death, further context is Mayuri left him in a perpetual state of exploding and regenerating infinitely until there’s nothing left. Compulsively destroying the Compulsory.
