The beef explained

Comments

Doesn't make it any less entertaining

Dyastro

i loved lupas "really bro? over soccer..." and he like faded away cause he lowkey remembered some of the shit people will do in the name of football LOL

Vayne

Nah bro sae was going a little overboard at the end you gotta be honest

Skurp

Yesss lmao you see it!

Lea Garrido

So you can only see one side of the argument, based solely on your feelings and...you want to convince me that I'm the one who doesn't "get it"? Interesting. Now you're acting just like Rin. Allowing your emotions to run away with you, stamping your feet and insisting you're the only one that's correct - as if only your feelings matter. So, yea, I guess you would identify with Rin more in this instance.

Ren Lichtfoot

Bucchigiri

XxSpryzenxX

Just because sae isn’t good enough he’s supposed to shit on his brother and say he has no value? That’s not tough love. That’s pure hate. Argue with a wall, if you show love like this in real life, then of course you’re siding with Sae

Jose

How old are you ?

Jose

Honki people 💀💀💀💀💀💀 Probably my favourite joke. I was worried y'all forgot about it. Began 2024 with wanting to be a Honki person and ending 2024 with wanting to be a Honki person 🗣️🗣️🗣

King of New York

If sae as a mid fielder is around a full blue lock team they would never lose ever his main job is to set up strikers for goals and we seen him perform that extremely well but the 20U striker just buns lol

FreshxEli Tv

Honestly his choice to be a midfielder is fire 🔥 he was always passing the ball to rin to score so it makes a lot of sense he’d go down the route that supports and mobilize strikers 😭

FreshxEli Tv

Shidou got that "pistol" in his pocket alright. Except it's not a gun.

Naw1n

Roshi has no idea how much rin wants to kill isagi

DimTurtle

now that is see the beef backstory Rin was tripping but the villain music was unnecessary dude was speaking facts once he saw rin crashout he's like yeah quit lol

Reckless Company

Check out their reaction to the anime Bucchigiri. It'll make sense then

Jordan Postle

a high school fighting genie/anime they watched a while back when the friend was obsess with a childhood promise about being "honky people" but the Main dude didn't care for it he just wanted a girlfriend but its funny cuz every time he saw his friend its all he talks about so it was wholesome but got annoying fast his friend had a constant crashout face when he kept getting rejected once you watch it you'll understand lol its called Bucchicgiri

Reckless Company

Okay, can someone tell me where this "honky people" thing they keep bringing up is from? I keep randomly hearing them say it in different reactions and feel like I need to watch whatever they're referencing lol

WindShinobi590

Sae just wants his bro to get good so they can duo the world. Rin is the only one tripping and not listening lol

Ren Lichtfoot

i don’t think Sae was going for that tbh. he literally said i’d be the greatest midfielder and you’ll be the greatest striker. it’s wack that Sae gave up, but at the same time he still believed in Rin. THEN when Rin kept going on about replacing Sae, i feel like Sae was (in a discouraging way) saying “you gotta stop trying to be me & be better than me, cause the strikers that i’ve seen are way better than me” lowkey, Sae might’ve been able to see that potential in Rin cause at the end of season 1, Rin did score against some of the top players in the world. idk tho Sae definitely wack for giving up, but he’s definitely telling Rin to stop comparing and be better

Chey

one sided my ah

DatKid_Kaneki

I really need the Honki people joke to live on forever 😂 that shit will always be funny

Dréa

Jose you are blatantly wrong, and kinda naive. Sae flat out admits that he isn’t good enough to become the best striker, but he ushers his brother to instead chase that dream. The whole point of the flashback was to show the massive egos that both of them had. Sae ended up getting a massive reality check and decided his best position was in the midfield. Rin was in the wrong and was honestly delusional, he didn’t understand a damn thing Sae was saying. He is selfish, and in a way that is type of footballer he ended up being. They are both still children so you can’t blame either brothers honestly. Once again it’s an anime, a theatrical dramatized representation of reality at the very least.

Jazko

The fact that it’s been confirmed by Kaneshiro that it’s a ONE sided beef is wild. Like what the fuck do you mean Sae doesn’t think they’re fighting??

Nico

Sae straight sucks, just bc ur dream got crushed YOU have to be the one to crush ur brother’s dream?? Fuck outta here, go back to Spain

Nico

I understand what you’re saying and it’s definitely poor communication on both their parts. Sae was trying to really have a conversation with Rin here and Rin wouldn’t listen and that’s where Rin was at fault. But like Sheera said, in Rins mind, Sae was giving up after he told him not to give up when he was leaving. That’s not the case but that’s how Rin sees it. And then it went completely left when Sae said all those disrespectful things to his brother. It may have been to motivate him, but it was still uncalled, especially seeing how it affected Rin. I get that Sae was content to play the villain, but is it really worth it at the expense of his relationship with his brother? I, too, am the eldest sibling and I would not say the stuff Sae said to Rin to my brother in order to give out some tough love. I hope they’re able to come back from this eventually but they both need to communicate properly with each other for that to happen.

Earphone Jack

That's crazy, Itachi just came home to Sasuke and was like "I quit Anbu, i'm doing something else now."

East_Coast_Overseer

I think, as usual its really just poor communication from both sides. If you watch the scene closely, Sae is trying to convey to Rin his experiences in the world and how he's just not good enough to be #1 striker in the world. He also is trying to explain to Rin that he will be #1 mid fielder and Rin can be #1 striker. But Rin has an emotional outburst before Sae can even say anything he actually means - several times. That's when Sae realizes Rin won't listen - no matter what he says. What I got from that episode was that Sae realized early on that Rin had more potential and talent than him as a striker. He saw it when they were kids. And that's why he approached Rin that night - to "amend" their dream and let him know just how big the world actually is. Unfortunately, things went sideways and Sae was content to play the villain if it helped his brother develop his skills.

Ren Lichtfoot

This isn't even the stupidest backstory we get lol. Like, Isagi shows up to Blue Lock from a loving family because his high school team lost a tournament, meanwhile everyone else has some ridiculous drama they're trying to get over.

Argo2Unitard

I'm older than you, I'm pretty sure by the way you're speaking. But, go off, I guess.

Ren Lichtfoot

thats a wild take tbh, you need seriously get some life experience kid because in no way telling a loved one, they have "no value" is "tough love". A REAL BROTHER, like many a loved one would say, "be Better than me". but no, SAE only sees Rin as below him. and finally, I would NEVER dash a loved one's dream just because of my own shortcoming, something that Sae immediately did once he went back home. idk man, maybe reevaluate your perspective

Jose

We are never going to be able to forget about the Honki people obsession 💀💀

R Blass

I'd be the father that stepped up

Karabo

ya so funny bro

jiwon330

The mayor lmao

CAM

I’ve been thinking this for a while now, but that old dude from the U-20s looks like a character from the boondocks lol.

Lea Garrido

Not Roshi and Lupa laughing at Rin’s pain. 😂😂😂 The way Lupa busted out laughing at Rin crashing out was hilarious.

Earphone Jack

Sae is an asshole. Rin does need to let go of that dream he made with his brother as a kid and play ball the way he wants to and for himself only, but Sae was a complete asshole about it. I get the tough love approach, as well as his change in perspective after he came back from Spain, but some of the things he said was unacceptable IMO. I feel so bad for Rin and he honestly has a right to be upset with his brother. But again, he does need to start playing for himself and not for his brother, whether it's for revenge or not.

Earphone Jack

if he said that in the anime I would have cried laughing

Manny

Normally, I'd have taken Rin's side in this "beef" but as a middle child and someone who often has to mediate between everyone else in my family - I see the tough love Sae was going for. He just recognized his brother's potential in that moment. He knew Rin could be better than him, he just had to motivate him.

Ren Lichtfoot

Dude, the whole backstory between Rin and Sae reminds me a lot of Sasuke and Itachi 😭 lol On the side note, Geto + Gojo Tag Team (iykyk). Let’s goooooooo!! 🤣🤣🤣

Kimchi16

Y'all so fucking funny I swear to god.

Ginger Dwarf

The most unserious backstory ever Lupa got me in tears😭😭😭😭

Fizzy

Nah this beef is insane aint no way you say some disrespectful shit like that to your little brother OVER SOCCER.That some shit that would get your ass beat

That Guy

NOOOOOOOO way sheera mentioned the honki people

Liraaa

That happens in anime a lot ngl. Leaving the cursing in adds more realism

Tenroku

In their flash back it’s mostly SAE passing to rin so i think sae developed the skills to puppeteer a striker like when he was telling rin how to play. so he goes to the real world and sees that’s where his talents and his focus has been allocated. he also doesn’t ever have the ego swirling eyes

jamesnightblade

imma be so hype when he shows up in the anime

RBGTalk

Btw when Sae says he got scouted by “Royale” he really means “Real” as in real life club Real Madrid. They changed the name to get around copyright

Alex Monascal

Yeah the language is heavily censored in the anime

Alex Monascal

I think Itoshi Sae is looking into Bluelock ONLY because he was interested in the potential of a striker who he can play the support role with. To play for Japan. Throughout the whole first half he was the one passing and looking to support the U20 striker but he sucked so Sae had to score a goal even though he was the Midfielder. Not sure if yall understood this conext of the anime

Guns

That flashback match with Sae and Rin was def the best scene this season

Tenroku

No lol. Sae knows he’s still better than Rin so why would he think Rin would be able to do it if he couldn’t?😂 I think Spain just change his perspective & he realized he could still be a goal threat while also playing alongside elite striker which could’ve been Rin

Ke

Bachira’s mom is kinda…

Guns

yea same the panel too when he said they skipped it

twinuzis

Somehow the best ep this season, need my GOAT shidou tho

DIOR

oh XD

RBGTalk

I'm mad that they censored Sae saying "Then fucking quit," so when the evil music suddenly came it didn't have the same energy lmao

RBGTalk

Ik im just exaggerating it to make it funny 😂

Kingmakaii

not really lol Sae is actually HIM but his playstyle didn't fit the striker role as well as other players on his level (who will show up in the future), and he decided he fits better as a midfielder.

RBGTalk

Bro went to Spain seen he was trash compared to all these other niggas and was like ight I’m be the best midfielder instead you can be the striker nigga ren so no bro said ight then you a bum nigga this one side ass beef 😂

Kingmakaii

10/10 episode they did a really great job even tho that one scene of shidou didn’t get animated 😔

XClouding

K-impact messed him up a little I’m on sae side with this being a older brother that played sports a ton a few people might get the reference from the beginning of the sentence 😂😂😂

XClouding

Sae crossing Rin up was like Itachi using Tsukuyomi on Sasuke, both messed them up for the rest of their lives

Devin B

Y'all should've watched the additional time for this episode, it was just the brothers being wholesome when they were younger

Devin B

The scene in the snow is so funny because they mostly had dinner with their parent afterwards 😂 like what’s the vibe at Christmas be ?

zacharie garondo

You wanna know the funniest thing about this whole debacle? Sae doesn't even view what happened all that negatively. If I recall correctly, mangaka said that to Sae, this was a minor sibling squabble and as a result is legit confused as why Rin is tweaking out so much.

Lucky_Icarus

I think that’s kinda the worst thing about the blue lock anime. The characters designs are great the ost is good to great everything is great about it except the actual animation which is sad

Tre

This was the best episode of the season so far in my opinion. Animation was good and I was really engaged in the whole backstory between the brothers

Nick Vaughn

Hoping for a your lie in April trio reaction someday 🙏🏻

TChang23

Rin & Sae really are just the watered down Sports version of Sasuke & Itachi 🤣.

ComeTseMe

So real

Alvaro Fernandes

Thank you for the laugh lol 😂🫶🏼y’all goated

Michael Kaiser

This was a good episode

Manchester United

Yehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Hasnain Khan

As soon as they got out of the football field, everything looked kind of nice again. For a minute 💀
