She saw her sister depressed in a cell in ep 8 and instead of trying to comfort her the first thing she said was basically “ why don’t you come fight a war with me”. She didn’t even try to address her sisters griefs and when her sister escaped the cell she immediately flipped on her and told Caitlyn she should’ve known better than to believe in her sister. jinx was literally suicidal and vi did not see the signs or even bother to comfort her after her loss.

When Caitlyn was checking the design of Hexgate, they zoomed in on the cooling system, and if you go back to the explosion, you can see a glimpse of purple light shooting to the right. thats probably Jinx escaping to the cooling tunnel as the explosion happens. Also, in the very first episode of season one, powder was looking at an airship and said that one day she wants to be on it, and at the end here it shows an airship sailing away, very likely that Jinx is on it and just decided to leave Zaun / Piltover, or to "break the cycle"

Showing that she's finally ready to move forward. There is also the theme in ep 7 that alternate reality Jinx needs to move forward past Vi's death and not stay in the bar all her life, even Ekko using a line like she's meant to do much more, similar to the Jinx he knows. Idk it feels like this was all heavily suggesting a return of this Jinx

At the end of the day there isn't any confirmation for either or and it just feels lackluster with the explanation of how she might be alive and it feels inconsistent with what we were shown in the two characters involved past interactions. If she's alive then she's alive if she's dead then she's dead but the reason that it's hard for me to wrap my head around her being alive is because in that situation it doesn't make sense. Warwick has no reason to suddenly loosen his grip on Jinx,the show established that in the good universes only one sister survives and there's no way Jinx can survive that drop and get away before the explosion happens. There's no way that the execution of that scene doesn't feel lackluster to you in some way?

If you are still unconvinced watch Arcane Afterglow: Act 3, where the showrunners and the main cast basically confirm that Jinx is alive. They said wether Jinx was alive would be "left up to interpretation". Later in the same talk they talked about deaths of important characters and never even mention Jinx in that context.

Even with what you're saying with the "shimmer" line it happens before the explosion so she shouldn't be getting injured by it. It just doesn't make sense to me.

There are ways to justify why she could have escaped the grasp tho imo. Also with the flash of jinx's shimmer, the reason it's evidence is mainly cause of how specific it is. That is the only purple light line in that entire explosion. And the vents and monkey bomb after that plus the air ship and the narrative parallels that possesses.

Obviously everything and everyone played their role in what happened, but every decision Vi made further exacerbated the already precarious situation in piltover. Piltovers treatment of Zaun and Vi's treatment of Jinx were direct catalysts in the results of the events in the show. There is no Jinx without Vi. Also, in that world that you mentioned where everything was better, guess who was dead..

You would have to argue that she's able to overpower him to be able to get away in time and with what the show established she isn't able to do that. I understand all of that with Silco,Jinx,Ekko,Vi and Cait but that doesn't change the fact that in the actual moment of it happening it doesn't make sense for her to be able to get away when she couldn't do it in multiple instances before that.

She interpreted of "breaking the cycle and WALKING AWAY" as taking herself out with a grenade until Ekko changed her mind. She never had the intention of staying with Vi because she sees herself as a wall between Vi's and Cait's happiness. One of her lines is also "We will always be together even if WORLDS APART". I mean there is a mountain of supporting evidence/hints she is alive or left as an open end if the writers want to use her in the future. While your argument is simply "she cant escape Warwick's grasp"

The pink line is just VFX from the spark of the pink and blue explosion. The only plausible hint that you said is Cait holding the monkey piece and the airship. It just actually doesn't make sense that she's able to escape Warwick's grasp when she couldn't do it in episode 4 or 9.

Finally the Airship, Powder had always wanted to ride in one of those. Also, I feel ending it with jinx's schizo effects and TH3 END was also a little tease that she's alive. Overall though. I feel 8-9 should have been expanded to 8-12 for more dialogue, build up, interactions. Like, Sevika got no lines other than a yell...Some things like that felt odd. Otherwise It's still a 9.5/10 to me

Or rather I felt unfulfilling. I also have bias for "filler" or fluff so long as it helps character development, so I wouldn't have minded more content lmao. But that said, of course stuff being moved to Mel's storyline could work and solve some of these issues for me, so we'll see! Overall, 8/10 series for me. I don't completely hate it like twitter seems to (I don't recommend peeking into them) but I do think some things could've been better.

Even though Ambessa was the leader, after her death, where was the addressing of Zaun? The ending only tells us that Sevika joined the council, but what of it? The whole overarching point of season 1 was about the struggles of Zaun and its people. If they're trying to say the problem is back in square one then that of itself is underwhelming considering the whole focus of those two distinct plotlines in season 1. The only assumption we could make is Sevika helping but that's a reach considering she has 0 political skills. Yeah they helped at the end for not making the unknown party to rule the kingdom. But so what? What about afterwards?

In each of these timelines, the story starts with him giving Jayce a rune. But in all the times he tried, the only time it was successful was when he gave him the "acceleration" rune. This is fascinating to me because the acceleration rune is what allowed ekko to create his time device. Then at the end, it is also what allowed them to reverse the glorious evolution after ekko pulled his time thing and threw it at Victor.

Netflix did movie long episodes for Stranger Things.. why couldn't they do the same for Arcane? It just shows that despite the enormous success, animation is still regarded as not as worthy to invest in. Maybe I'm wrong but that's how it feels to me.

We don't see Victor's and Jayce's dead bodies and I think they are inside the crystal or got teleported somewhere else. Hemidinger is not dead because Yordles cannot spiritually die. When the explosion happened, you can see a straight line in the colors of Shimmer coming out of it. Later, when Caitlyn was looking at Jinx's monkey, she probably thought of her and wanted to confirm something, so she looks at the blueprints of the Hexgates on her "computer" or whatever and sees the air vents coming out of the tower. At the end, you also see the airship flying out of Piltover with 'The End' in Jinx's colors, and earlier in the prison, when she was talking to Silco, he told her that the only way to break the cycle was to 'walk away', so she is probably on that airship. But of course in the end nothing's confirmed, just heavily implied. It could be, that she will will appear in a future show of a different region, now that she's traveling the world. 🤷♂️

And one thing you will notice is that, the characters don't tell each other about the things we, as the viewers, have been shown. Show, don't tell. There is 0 reason to put that on screen. We don't need characters reacting to new information every 5 minutes. That is just bogging down things even further and you simply shouldn't and many time can't do that in animation. The story is primarily about the characters and their interaction with each other and the world. Big picture was mostly set aside throught both seasons. Characters were the forefront. That has all been shown remarkably well. And yea, once again. More shows in works. The World of League of Legends has many, many, many stories to tell. Many secrets to find. But it won't treat viewers as dumb. It will show you things and let you figure things out on your own. And some things are meant to be kept unknown. Especially if also no in world character has any idea what happened (Heimerdinger disappering, which probably will be "explained" in a future show, cuz yordles are magic and weird).

Overall Thoughts: I still love arcane A LOT but what usually pisses me off is that when a super good show which builds up so many good plot points then just rushes or ruins some things cause of not enough explanation or rushing things. Especially Arcane was one of the best fiction in history with really good dialogue delivery...you can resonate with each character and find it understandable why they make flaws. I also loved how arcane always heightened the moments with music so beautifully and slowly...and with so many different animation and art style changes. The character development of everyone was so peak that im just dissapointed it was rushed at the end. It just felt so unpaced and incomplete at the end Im just kinda madsad

Who knows, maybe everything in that timeline still went wrong. Maybe in that timeline, since I child died in his office, Jayce was imprisoned for life, or banished from Piltover so he ended up killing himself. Maybe Viktor helped Powder and Ekko make Hextech instead, and since Heimerdinger wasn't there to influence anything, or Jayce there to save Viktor from himself later on, everything went downhill in that timeline as well. Like Viktor said, Jayce was the only one who could get him to stop.

A good example, the Firelights could have been made up of Ekko's friend group from Legends of Runeterra + Zeri. They could have easily done that but none of them are to be seen. Seraphine coulda made a cameo as part of the Chem Sisters band since she's a singer or be seen as a Jinxer, sympathizing with the Zaunites. Renata Glasc could have been in the Chem Baron group, got away and be in hiding from Cait's raid squad and rise again for the future but she's nowhere to be seen. I aint asking for them to have huge plot roles. Just for them to be there because they're supposed to be. That rat Singed had that he shimmered should have been Twitch. He coulda easily kept it as a pet and name dropped it as Twitch and left it at that. Camille had a cameo ... kinda IF that old woman with her hair style at the gathering in episode 3 was actually her.

Similar to shimmer vs hextech and why people started using shimmer the way they did. We'll see this more 100%, as you said magic exists and there are other ways people use magic in the world outside hextech and mages(similar to hextech but diff). This feels like the major conflict currently in the show that will prob push us into further ones.

Implying we CAN figure it out. Bit of a reach, but with the context of the interview were p sure. Arcane is just another term for what is providing the magic or magic itself. Also it wasnt hextech that was the issue. It was the fact that; 1) They were trying to make a hextech rune that continuously would evolve to do multiple things. 2) The hexgate was combined with the bit of blood that Viktor coughed up back in season 1. That bit of blood was before Viktor had Shimmer which means that it made the hexgate power source become sentient. Hextech technology that were built for one single purpose like either shoot a laser, teleport, create infinite energy, strengthen something, create a time loop. All those things are fine and not dangerous unless they fall to the wrong hands. Those can’t go wrong because their only tasked to do one singular thing and arent combined with any sort of blood or life.

I think when Jinx said “Always with you, even when we’re world apart” she meant it quite literally. Jinx probably planned to help and then leave Pilltover or go into hiding to still end the cycle and let Vi live in peace with Cait. Jinx may go into hiding like Silco or she may more likely go to another nation. Even Caitlyn was looking into the explosion. She was holding Jinx’s monkey head and looking at the hexgate structure to see if maybe she got away through one of the air ducts. I think Caitlyn found out that Jinx got away from the explosion and is out there somewhere. Who knows if she will tell Vi though 🤷♂️ 2) This kinda goes with #1 but a friend of mine thinks that Jinx is riding the blimp at the end because in episode 1 Powder said “One day I’m going to ride on one of those things.” So ey she may be going to the next nation we will be introduced to and she may be our traveling psycho and quirky protagonist. 3) Viktor from this timeline actually WAS NOT going to become like the doomed timelines. In the convo Viktor and Singed had, Viktor spoke about fate and if Singed believe in it(probably because Viktor had an idea of what his fate is and didn’t want to accept that fate). Singed said he doesn’t believe in fate because he believes in evolution, that evolution is what guides us or wtv. Viktor then says that evolution has an end though, it is what Viktor considers “the glorious evolution.” Which as we see, the glorious evolution does stop all sorts of senselessness but Viktor is lonely). Anyway back to the Viktor and Singed convo, Viktor then ends the convo by saying that he does not want to continue into such an evolution by merging with warwick. Viktor actually still cared about the humanity in people. All those people in his village WERE NOT lifeless beings. They were all people who still had their humanity but without the setbacks like pain, suffering, feeling hot or cold, or any sort of body pains. They were all doing what they wanted(they had blacksmiths, fruit vendors, cooks, people playing out in the street). Viktor was healing and evolving everyone while keeping their humanity in there. Jayce however caused a paradox where he is the one that causes his Viktor to turn into every other Viktor from the other timelines. Viktor from the other timelines is like the Viktor from the actual LoL lore, he wanted to turn everyone into the perfect lifeless robot machine beings. Our Viktor was different. We even see his humanity go away during the transformation. Skye was his final piece of humanity keeping him in check but because of Jayce, Viktor decided to be like “you know what? Ye u right, fuck humanity and their free will, lemme just take that shit away from them.” 4) Heimerdinger isn’t dead. What if Heimerdinger actually got transported back with Ekko to their timeline? Just that Heimerdinger ended up in an entirely different nation. Maybe Heimerdinger will meet up with Jinx in whatever nation she goes to. Maybe she meets up with Jayce in Viktor in wherever they teleported to. 5) Jayce and Viktor are not actually dead. That sound at the end was the same sound as when the hexgates were teleporting ships off. It is also the same sound when Viktor teleported Jayce and his mom to safety. Once again, its the sound we hear when evil Viktor teleports Jayce back to Jayce’s actual timeline. Maybe they teleported off somewhere together. 6) Theory for the LoL nerds. What if that guy playing the piano is who becomes Jhin? 🤔 we saw him getting combat training and was given a sniper. He did survive the battle too soooo. What if he is on the blimp along with Jinx and the blimp is heading toward ionia? Where we all thought Jhin was originally from. Maybe when we see him play the piano, it’s like looking back at old memories of when he would play the piano in Pilltover? 🤔🤔 so that means Jhin may actually originally be from Pilltover but went to spend so much time in ionia that in his lore that is where we think he is from 🤔 That is all. Hope they make you think a bit 😁

Her lore is that she was a kind girl who would help people in Zaun but the toxic fumes gave her issues so over time in her life she'd have parts of her body and organs replaced with prosthetics and it got to a point where she o ly had her heart, but then she gave her heart to her father making her a full machine girl. Her old old lore she was just a murder bot which is why her voice lines ingame are creepy.

The biggest hint is that in the first episode she said shes going to ride it one day, and in the explosion u can see the shimmer trail showing she escaped from the blast into the airducts caitlyn was looking at. Shes going to Ionia most likely so we will see an older version of her in the future

They're also often missing stuff from secondary and tertiary sources that are actually useful, like stuff from Wildrift, LoR or Riot Forge. And you could make it even better by playing them in an order that will introduces characters/regions one at a time. I was wondering how Orianna can function without Viktor being alive to facilitate the magics that give those automaton dolls the ability to work. Clearly Singed did a lot of work with that Apex Shimmer Blood + Arcane Blood to make it so she doesn't need Viktor to be alive and ... well he did it. He did horrible experiments, unethical practices, had a hand in mass drug addiction, turned Vander into a fucking monster and insighted near genocide and got what he wanted. Honestly, kudos to him. 2024-11-26 06:03:58 +0000 UTCSBR is both one of the highest rated and respected manga of all time and although we don’t exactly know what for it’s recently been leaked that they asked china for help or some type of involvement with it, even if only through streaming so they’ll have a ton of resources. Part 6 was one of their least favorite parts and while Part 7 might not be there most favorite like part 5, at the very least it’ll be a respectably good adaptation and that’s all it’ll take & need to blow up, even if it’s not at this level in terms of quality production, the contents itself will more than make up for it, as it’s already better than than any mere video game series like League of Legends. Only GΩW has a story near or on that level.

There's two important lines she said to Vi that makes me think this: "You're never gonna give up on me, are you?" and "I'm always with you, even when we're worlds apart". Jinx probably feels like she'd be getting in the way of Vi living a happy life if she had stayed. When the dust settles and it's time to rebuild, Jinx will still be a symbol of rebellion in Zaun's eyes and a homicidal terrorist to Piltover. Even if Cait were willing to forgive her, what will everyone else think? Her very existence is a seed for division between the two cities as they try to heal. Vi could still be torn between protecting her sister and her new life as an enforcer with Caitlyn. And the fact that Jinx chooses to leave it and everyone all behind and start fresh rather than still being suicidal is both better character growth and tragically bittersweet. Both Jinx and Cait deciding to walk away from the cycle is its own poignant ending that is several layers deeper than if she had really just offed herself to blow up Warwick IMO.

Others have said it, but I'd heard that the director at one point said, "More shows, no interconnected stories, no League Cinematic Universe". But then recently said we'd have chances in the future to maybe see some of the faces we met in Arcane. So maybe no Avengers Assemble moment, but I'm so looking forward to what is to come, especially if I can guess what story arc is coming up next.

Originally its very obvious they intended the mage to be Ryze, and maybe set up some kind show involving his mission to find the rune stones scattered across the world. They probably wanted to make it a tie into whatever show they plan to make next, but im glad they made this story entirely self contained and freed themselves up to do whatever story they want to do next

2024-11-26 05:02:51 +0000 UTCIt took me multiple watches with different reacts, but the coolest fucking detail is that this is the ONLY timeline where Jayce succeeded because Viktor specifically gave him the "acceleration rune" that lead to Ekko building the time machine. The one rune that copies itself and flies all around them at the climax of this episode is the one Ekko circles on the chalkboard in Episode 7. You can see that in other timelines, Jayce was given a different rune, and Ekko never showed up to break him free of Viktor's control.

Although I love everyone very much I’m excited to see the new characters and lore. If Jinx were to show up in the new shows, I think maybe being a side character in one episode would be interesting or see a brief interaction between her and Lux for example 😂

She most likely was the one who put the nail in the gears to sabotage it. It's really sad when you think about the fact that Steb (who people call fish guy lol) risked it all to save her in season one just for her to betray everyone.

If you really think about it, Maddie was in Cait's ear from the beginning - she was the first to do the Noxian salute and thump her chest when Cait was unsure of declaring martial law.

So jinx is basically 80% confirmed alive.

Idk how likely you are to take this suggestion, but it'd be dope if you guys did a bonus react to the official League Cinematics to get you hyped up for the other characters/regions in the world that will be covered in future shows. There's a ton of great stories beyond the city in Arcane. There's a lot of cinematics and a good amount of them are skippable, so if it makes it more appealing, you could do a curated list of all the best/important ones to cut it down to something manageable. If you take into consideration the nuanced writing in this last Act in regards to Jinx and her interactions with Ekko, Silco, and Vi, along with all the intentional scenes revolving around Jinx's fate, as well as the final shot of the show being a callback to Season 1 Episode 1 where Powder says, "One day, I'm going to ride in one of those things." It's clear as day, she lives. Jinx will return.

You never see her body, there's a flash of her pink shimmer streak speeding away from the explosion, and Caitlyn was staring at the blueprints for the tower looking at the remains of the grenade and noticing there were was an air duct that serves as an escape route. The biggest clue is that the series started and ended on a shot of the same airship that Powder said she would ride one day. Silco told her the cycle ends when she walks away, and it didn't HAVE to be suicide...the part I like most is that Caitlyn looks like she suspects Jinx got away, but she smirks as if she's walking away from the cycle too. It's live and let live for them. The only question is what happened with Ekko that night. He only burns one paper in mourning; there's a chance that's actually for Heimerdinger, and Jinx came to him before leaving on the airship. A lot of people are coping that they left together, but Ekko would never abandon Zaun after seeing what could have been, so my belief is she left without him. Incredibly tragic, but beautiful.

Jinx in S1E1 looks at that EXACT same blimp and says “I’m gonna ride that one day.” For Jinx, breaking the cycle was just leaving and “creating something new” like what Ekko said. The end title was also written in Jinx style letters as well. In “The” the “E” was written as a “3” so maybe we will see her in the third new Runterra show which I think will be in Demacia.

One of my favourites being in this episode where Ekko got his weapons from the clock arms from the tower. & if you look at the clock right before they crashed into it, it was at 4:00 (4 being the amount of seconds ekko can rewind time). Unreal journey. There are a lot of details, but I think Roshi got a bit skeptical of the ducts. Jinx has to be alive, she is ending the cycle by choosing to walk away. She finally takes the airship she had wished to ride in episode 1 (it's literally very similar airship scene)!

They already confirmed that they will now focus on other parts of runeterra(the planet this all takes place on). The 3 places are Noxus, Demacia, and Ionia those will be the next arcane spin-offs they will explore. Some minor world building spoilers so don’t read ahead if you want to be completely blind. Noxus is an industrial warlike roman empire style place where ambessa comes from, Ionia is full of half animal people and very much asian inspired hell they have sun wukong as a character there hope we see him, and demacia is a place full of knights with big bulky armor where magic is banned so they hunt mages. Just a ultra brief rundown of those places
