Ethan is a kid, so I get him, but Nathan should've absolutely confided in someone earlier. Like I get protecting your sister, but that guilt would've been got me. What are the monsters? undead or ghosts but that can interact with people and objects but cant enter "shelters with runes". What are runes and were did they come from? not answered yet by the the main cast maybe given by a "good ghost" like the animals? The radio plays "random" songs either telling us what needs to be done or words that are part of the solution or dating when this started? i would ask it to change the song for yes and twice for no to see if its a "ghost" be it good or bad and test the results. The towns shrinking by 4 inchs a year? a day? since what 30/40 years for the age of Peaches? why do the runes even work? everyone peaches knew as a kid died on the street so they are not safe during the day. Ghosts can show visions? The crazy girl is being actively protected from the bad ghosts and the "kill the boy" on her arm was in her head. Before runes they just hide in random places or in bushes on the edge of the forest? Can the ghosts be killed? I would honestly try to make a hot air balloon and see what happens the crows may kill me but i would try.
