if you go back to episode 1 of season 2 theres a scene at the start in the council room where it pans out to an overhead shot and you can see a clear circle area that has no damage at all right where Mel was standing with Jayce. So she unknowingly protected them from the explosion and thats why Jayce says to Mel how did he not get hurt but Viktor did. so Mel has to be pretty op to tank a hextech explosion.

The fact that he had shimmer in him, just made him a better subject because he would of already used that(he made it in an attempt to get the healing factor). Warwick also has what we can tell is already a stronger healing factor than anything he has produced before. He's a stepping stone to getting a good enough version of that healing factor to give his daughter.

I wouldn't say he's taking their free wills. Affecting their goals, if the goals are malicious, is a good thing. I honestly think that him healing his body and mind is what influenced Salo to change his malicious goal and instead helped him find a greater purpose. You could still obviously tell the difference between Viktor and Salo when Jayce was speaking with him, and not just because of the different voices. Jayce is very emotional and impulsive. And his wishy washy stance on things is what's contributing to the problems.

Yeah that's what I thought too, like how can yall lack so much media literacy. Like goddammit read some books. They way some of the redditors were talking about being confused made me think that mystery genre would implode their brains, cause any book with a plot that doesn't spell it out to you would feel like a mystery to them. I'm currently reading the Assasin's Apprentice by Robin Hobb and there's so much subtlety that if I'm not paying attention I could miss it and be sooooo confused later on in the story. Season 2 of arcane, in order to make the most of the little amount of time they got left to tell the story, is definitely expecting the viewer to rewatch season 1......with focus too (cause did rewatch, but still felt super confused with season 2, so I pressed x to doubt) People getting mad about Jayce suddenly killing Victor are actually stupid, like clearly they will reveal it later (if not, then THATS a different problem) The only thing I could agree on is next ep with vi and cait......but I could have missed some things or it could have not been revealed yet.

I get people thinking it’s too fast cuz they rely a lot more on the viewer to fill in the gaps on what they don’t have time to show, but they definitely do set things up if people are able to catch them. It’s not rushed tho like some have been saying, they had years to do this, just not as much episodes as they probably would have preferred. Salo changed because Viktor not only heals their bodies but their minds. If you recall, Salo was bitter and angry and wanted to invade Zaun before he was healed, but after he doesn't even emotionally react to Jayce telling him he can't leave. This ending scene also shows another example of Jayce's impulsive nature and his strong emotional reactions (Making more hextech weapons after they are attacked at the funeral speech, shutting down the bridge in s1 and raiding with vi, and Feeding hextech to viktor when he was dying)
